"... I... I would like to go back to school... I... I like to see my friends again but... n-no... I can't... not yet. If the people out there... knew I am here... they will... hunt me down and set me on fire... that terrible fire that sticks to you no matter how much you try to put it out! I... I don't want to die... n-not by fire! I-its such a terrible way to die... the school can't help me... the city can't help me... you can't he-" Pallavi continued to raise her voice shakily until she stopped suddenly near the end of her sentence as she grips on deformed patch of skin, remembering the pain of the fires that seared her flesh so long again. She shakes out the terrible memory out of her head and lets out a sigh as the fog grew thick between the two of them.

"I'm sorry... I... I know you mean well...you speak of kindly but its better that world no not that I exist... f-for they think I am just... a weed... another synthesis flower in need of eradication... even if you or I try to convince them otherwise they wont listen. I... can't risk being exposed... thus... I can't risk letting you go... so... I am sorry... m-maybe in the next life... w-we could have been friends..."

As the air grew thick with fog, dozens of roots shot out from the ground and like serpents then all come hone in on Lucan at once as they attempt to restrain his limbs and hold him down.

"Pallavi....," he'd say with a sigh, "you don't have to...," then the roots appeared, he felt some wrap around his ankles, and so he'd vanish. He didn't leave though, he instantly reappeared in a tree at the edge of the field, just above the fog, "hey now, there's no need for that. I'm a teleporter anyways."

He'd sigh and rub the temples of his head, "look...they'll let you in, because.....," he hadn't told many, just teachers, "because they let me in." Lucan would sit in the branch as he sent these thoughts to her, "I don't know what it's been like for you, being out here, on your own, but it doesn't have to be like that."

Pallavi....I'm a demon," he'd finally, "well half....haven't told many, but the school knows..and they let me in." He needed to help this poor girl, had to convince her, "my father would trick humans out of their souls and them sell then to the hell lords, despite that, the school let me in." He looked out into the fog, no longer able to see her, "so please, let me help you, let the school help you, because you're not a monster, not at all."

Huh? Pallavi was certain that she had him in her grasps... at least until he called out to her from the distance further out as Lucan gently reminded her of his ability to teleport. While it was something that she kept in mind, she had though that the fog would prevent him from teleporting but it was clear that she was mistaken about how his powers operated but. But... not all was lost... he wasn't that far... she could hear him by the forest's edge and perhaps... she could reel him in before he is going for good?

Within the cover of the cover of the fog, Pallavi began to uproot herself from the soil, the long roots dig themselves out as they drag along large, assorted bones. The roots weave around each other as they use the bones as sort of scaffold to create a large snake-like tail formed out her extensive root system with bones protruding out.

"I'm sorry... you... you don't understand... it is different with me. I... I... I have become a synthesis flower... they will think that I am danger to everyone. I... I don't want to be the monster they all think I am but... they won't believe me... I don't do this... because I want to... I... rather not hurt anyone to be honest... I... I do this because I have to..." argued Pallavi from the fog, slithering unseen closer to Lucan as rests in the safety of a tree. She flicks out her tongue several times, detecting Lucan's location and hung her head.

"I'm... sorry I wish didn't have to" apologized Pallavi as she swung her massive 40 ft tail made of vines and bones thread together, hanging in the air for a bit before it comes slamming down on the branch Lacan was perched on.

The branch would break and he'd fall, he'd feel his head graze against the trunk of the tree, and then he'd again vanish. He'd reappear in another tree close by, but a bit higher up, he'd lean against the trunk letting his vision clear, his hand probing his forehead and finding it bleeding.

"Damnit Pallavi...that wasn't necessary," he'd take a slightly shaky breath, "look, dangerous powers aren't unusual for people at the school." He wasn't done trying, not just yet, "they have power bracelets and human shape charms, magical devices that would make sure you weren't a threat."

He'd slowly stand, "that's assuming you're actually a threat in general," he'd wipe 's bit of blood from his head, "so far you don't seem like a threat, you just want to protect yourself."

"S-sorry! I really hurt you too badly d-did I? I mean... I h-have to kill t-to keep my secret safe but... but d-dont want you suffering... I know that seems silly to care about things but...sorry" Pallavi signed, not even sure if what she is saying is even making any sense anymore... nothing did anymore.

"I... sorry I told you t-this is already...but this not not because of my powers L-lucan... its about what I am..." with a flick of wrist, Pallavi dismisses her fog and reveals to Lucan the extent of her true appearance: a synthesis flower whom's roots formed a massive serpent's tail nearly 40 feet long contained within a cage of bone in the shape of snake's skeleton. She gives Lucan a moment to appreciate the scale of her true form before resuming conversation.

"This... is why I have to be alone... in this forest. Unseen from the would beyond its borders... your arrival has denied... me sanctuary... and condemned one of us to death..." Pallavi then brings her nails to her mouth, nibbling on them trying to ease her own discomfort as Petals reminds what she needs to do to protect them both.

"I'm sorry... I know you only want to help me b-but... the only way you can help me now... is if you let me kill you... I... I know its a lot to ask but... its the only way my secret stays safe... ssorry that this is... necessary..." relented Palalvi as she looks up to Lucan, there is sadness in her eyes. She then looked away as the end of her tail lunged out to the branch that Lucan was now standing on and after a bit give the tail rips out the crooked tree limb from under Lucan's feet.

"You're being stubborn and not thinking things clearly," he'd wipe more blood from his eyes, he wasn't completely sure what do. He went to say something when she raised her tail, he'd vanish before it struck, reappearing in another tree, "not gonna let you kill me, so just listen for a bit."

"You think you're the only being that would be considered dangerous by most?" he'd sigh and shake his head, "the school, this whole island, is for people like that, a place where they can get help." He didn't want to just leave her out here without trying to talk to her a bit more.

"A school dedicated to taking in the lost and the dangerous...tell me....would it make any sense for such a place to destroy you?" he'd wipe bit more blood away, head injuries tended to bleed a lot, "they wouldn't, because it's made to help people like you."

He'd teleport to another tree, "I can't make you accept help...but I do ask that you think it all over."

"Sorry... I... I know that already... used to go to school at Starlight... I used to have friends there." sighed Pallavi as the end of her tail clutches on the tree limb. Her tongue flicks out a few times, then turns her head to Lucan's new location "You speak but... you are not listening to me... you haven't listened to me the entire time... the rest of the island won't accept me for what I am now that... that I become part of synthesis flower."

Pallavi then hold out her arm and shows the matted patches of scars on her dark skin.

"I don't... know if you can tell from where you are but these scars... these burns... they are reminders of when when the city sent out exterminators to... to kill synthesis flowers like me... I heard the telepathic screams of flowers as they withered under relentless flame. I... I was only luckily that my father saved my life before I was... left to... left to burn. You think that the city or school will... want to save me but... they are the ones who want to destroy me. I know they are accepting of demons, naga, vampires and many more... but... they will never accept a synthesis flower like me." explained Pallavi, using her tail to lug the large tree branch over were Lucan now was.

He'd again vanish and reappear in another tree, scurrying around the trunk to where he was out of sight. "I'm so sorry that happened to you," he'd tell her, "d-did they know? That you weren't just a flower?"

He'd go silent for a bit before resuming the conversation, "maybe it was a mistake...maybe things have changed since then." He wanted to help her, but it was clear he couldn't do it like this, he could always come back.

"Will you let me check?" he'd ask her, "I can poke around, see how things have changed and then I can come back and talk again?" He'd sigh, "you shouldn't be alone, you don't deserve this."

Pallavi turned head to the tree that she threw the branch at, wondering if she managed hit Lucan... only to hear his voice just out of her sight. With a few flicks of her tongue she could taste that Lucan was still near... and it made her wonder why it was he continued to linger here even given the hostilities that she has shown him. Why does he still try to save her when she is still trying to kill him?

"If things... if things really have changed then dad would have been back... back to let me know its safe to go back home. But... dad hasn't come for me yet... which... which can only mean that... it can't be safe for me out... and if I let you go... how can I trust you n-not to tell anyone?" spoke up a concerned Pallavi, looking at the tree she was sure Lucan was hiding behind.

"How long have you been waiting?" he'd ask, he got the feeling she'd been out here a very long time.

"Pallavi, if I'd wanted to I could have already teleported away and told someone...but I haven't...," he'd sigh, "because...I want you to be safe, I don't want you getting hurt." She'd cut open his head and given him a concussion but he could tell she didn't want to do it.

Finally he'd step out to where she could see him, "you deserve friends, a life, I can check things out, I think it'll be safe for you but I can make sure first." He didn't want her left out here all on her own, she did deserve that.
