Cordelia strode back to her seat, more so to keep any of the adrenaline from overwhelming her senses. She sat with her back straight, her ankles crossed beneath the stool at the counter top. Turning her gaze from the blonde officer to the tea, she swirlled the water with the bag to watch the color change. There was a tremble in her hands, and she could feel her heart rate rise. While she didn't trust him completely, he had certainly lowered his own threat level.

"Thank you." She started, wrapping her hands back around the cup to hide her own anxiety. "You are certainly a good person, Officer Genovese. Thank you for answering my questions, and now if you have any for me, feel free to ask them." She sipped at the drink, her mind still dancing with all the new thoughts that entered her head with the new information.

The way that it had been described - it felt like a once and a life time chance. To be able to not fear people wanting her dead just because she was close to the true holders of her surname. Could she still reach for what would make him proud even if she didn't take his place in the gang? Would she still be able to reach her goal as a child of pride if she was living with law enforcement?

She was anxious. It wasn't even Angelo reading her body language, really. It was simply reading the situation. How could she not be anxious? It was being presented with a decision that would shape her entire future, and then being told that she couldn't just sit around not deciding.

"Honestly," Angelo muttered, "I was kind of hoping you had a map of how everyone is connected. Like, Troy is a cousin, I think? And I thought it was Caelin Rosales, but legally her name is actually Caelin Rhodes, and like half of the kids have double barreled last names like 'Everglow-Rosales'. It's a lot to remember and honestly I'm worried I'm going to upset someone by forgetting that it's Annie, not Anthia." He was a fair bit more relaxed, the worst of the grilling seemingly over, and Angelo scratched absentmindedly at his cheek.

"I guess the best thing to ask would be... what do you think I should know? Because everyone's got secrets, but everyone's also got stuff I should know, like the fact that Caelin apparently melts people if you touch her skin. Things that are best told in advance, so I can avoid upsetting anyone."

The young woman tried not to snort at his request, putting her hand over her mouth. There were certainly a lot of people to keep track of in the hang - and all of their names and abilities were certainly a pain in the ass far more than anything else. Peoples faces and names could be hard enough - it had been a struggle when she first came to the family as well... Then again she had an easier time in memorizing it because she had been a stubborn child and clung to Vito's leg for probably the first year until he finally convinced her it was time to start wandering around on her own.

"I can make you a physical list and give it to you so you can keep track. I'm not sure just who you have and haven't met yet, but it'll just be for the children." Cordelia nodded. "Caelin melts people, but she's also a demon of Envy I believe? She's very good with her words.
There's Roa - Roa Rosales. Wrath demon and angel, destructive tendencies and will pick fights with anyone - hell fire is more his speed.
Sherry Rosales. Human, ice manipulation - but she's not really a threat unless you're not taking care of yourself."

Judging by the look on her features when she said it, she had already had that kind of encounter. But she continued on.

"Troy.. Troy Abis. Kind of a cousin. Gluttony and a honey bee. I don't talk to him much, so my information is limited to what a gluttony child can do but I cannot say for sure.
Annie - Anitha Everglow-Rosales. I've always just called her Annie. Sun elf. She's a healer but having her in a room where she can have a lot of sun is not only best for her abilities but her health.
Addy - Adeline Rosales but she hates her real name. Feline and lust demon - again, I don't really inquire about her abilities but I can give what she may do. Caterina Rosa. Witch. She has a connection to certain beings and can take on their forms - in pieces or all together."

And with that she just drank from her cup again. "I can write all of this down - and in the case of Addy and Troy I can tell you what they can possibly do. But specifics about each of their abilities is unique to them and I don't spy on their training sessions. So you'll have to ask." Cordelia had purposefully skipped over Shay since he seemed to know what they can do already. But she had also skipped over herself, wanting the other information out there first.

Angelo definitely needed it all written down. He knew some of it--He'd met a few Rosales kids back when Klaus was still around--but other parts were totally new. He hadn't even known that Troy existed before he'd shown up in the mansion.

"No, what you've said is good," Angelo said, waving off her offer of power generalities. "I've met enough demons of varying kinds to get a pretty general idea of what sort of things I might run into. Either way I'm not really concerned about that. Mostly I was worried about stuff that might come up--Like, so and so has an aura, so and so's every word is a lie... all that stuff. Like, good example--I'm immune to aura stuff and anything that you aren't shooting through the air at me like a missile as far as powers go. Means I'm immune to stuff like Klaus's aura... but also means I'm immune to things like people laying on hands to heal me. That sort of thing."

"I actually sort of knew Caterina before this, which is... helpful, at least. It's good to have at least one other adult around the house. I think I'd probably drown if it was just me and... ten-or-more under-18s."

Cordelia hummed softly and nodded at his request, knowing how lengthy the list of demon powers can get. Few of the kids were actual threats to society and it was more of just keeping them from wrecking an entire building for someone have already pressed their buttons the wrong ways. She knew it had been happening more recently but more so along the lines of their extended family than just those of them who were directly adopted by the Rosales father's.

"Then as you know, the demons generally have auras of their sins. Wrath, pride, envy, and lust. Not always... but we have most of the seven within the family so good luck." She chuckled. "We've always had a medic on hand or a legal doctor, so I have never really seen any of the healing abilities of any of the kids."

Cordelia mulled over the information all of it but she had little idea of how to respond without sounding combative. She had already given a hard time and he did have a lot on his plate. But she also had to make sure this was a good environment like he promised. "Few of the other kids listen to me but I'm going to be an adult here soon - legally. I make no promises of my decision as of this moment, but I can help you get them settled at the least. If I do move in, I can help handle the home. I hear you were on the search for a home to house the children. How is that going?"

The house was a whole other mess, wasn't it?

"Difficult. You'd expect with the budget I've got, I'd have no issues finding a house. The thing is, there's just not that many houses around meant to hold so many people. In the end, I think a few of the kids are going to have to double up. Having said that... I think it might be better for them in the long run. Something familiar in a lot of unfamiliarity. And living in a house that's a bit more modest and a bit less of a mansion might help things as well. A bit more... together, and less spread out."

And a bit more down to earth.

"The help would be appreciated, if you are willing to offer. I feel like I'd be overwhelmed if it was just two kids, and learning all the stuff... and learning all the stuff to do with kids is a mess. Paperwork to get them legally adopted so decisions go through me and don't try and go through Klaus. Making sure the school knows who to call. And that's just the obvious stuff. There's like a million things that need to get done I didn't even consider. Getting the house, making sure it's furnished, figuring out how to do meals with so many kids..."

And like twenty other things.

"I shouldn't be dumping this stuff on you though."

Though she had never hunted for a home, let alone one that would have to fit so many people... She could at least imagine it. The young woman clicked her tongue, just sipping at her drink as she looked to the papers she had messily piled from the morning. All the work she was telling herself not to do less she break from the stress. So at least in that regard she could find some kind of connection.

"I know. And the fact that you're trying to do it all at once certainly doesn't help." Mentioned the teenager, adjusting her legs so they were crossed the other way. "Small doses. One step at a time, get a schedule up - all the usual fun small things so you don't crack under the pressure."

"Don't apologize. I did ask. And now I'm offering to help because I know you're no use to the kids who are going to depend on you if you're completely burnt out from making them legally yours."
She pointed out, swirling the tea in her cup again. "Is there anything I should know about you besides the fact that you're a cop, you're stressed, and you're trying?"

Oops. A bit too late Angelo realized he'd forgotten his sandwich, glancing down at it before letting out a sigh and picking it up, starting to eat while she talked.

"Honestly it's kind of hard to figure out what to say. What's relevant and what isn't. I'm immune to auras more or less completely, which is nice. I can turn myself invisible. I'm a half-reaper, like Shay, but our powers came out differently. I'm a cop, you already know my background, uhh...."

He was sure there was something, right?

"Uh... I'm sort of babysitting a twenty six year old man? His name is Lorenzo, I live with him. I guess he'll be moving in with us, although if I have my way I'm going to shove them into a pool house or something. He's annoying but harmless."

Worth mentioning that, he supposed.

Cordelia choked on her drink, covering her nose to keep any tea from burning through her nostrils. She coughed, setting her cup down. Out of all of the things she had expected, that was not among them.

"Why in hell are you baby sitting a twenty six year old man?" She inquired, recomposing herself as she played with the string of her tea bag. "Is he just... unable to care for himself that much or are you watching him as part of your job as a police officer?" While she understood keeping an eye on someone, the term he used was... exhausted, like he had become drained from doing it.

The demon stood up, cleaning up her papers and tucking them in their respective folders. With them placed under the laptop, she figured that it was best that she also get something to eat. Whatever time it was, she knew she had not eaten in a long while so she knew she should actually take care of her self to save a lecture from either Sherry or Rin.

Angelo couldn't help but snort, amused by her reaction. He supposed it made sense--the idea of babysitting a grown man was ridiculous--but that didn't stop him from being amusing.

"It's a long story," Angelo said. "Basically, he was a spoiled mafia brat who never had to take care of himself, and his dad wants me to keep an eye on him to make sure he doesn't screw himself over completely. He didn't have any sort of ability to function day to day, didn't know how to clean after himself, or cook, or any of that stuff... So I'm keeping an eye on him."

Angelo paused, suddenly aware that he probably shouldn't have said so much.

"That's between you and me though," Angelo said. "He'd probably get annoyed if he knew I'd called him a brat. And he's getting better--definitely better--now that he has to take responsibility for himself."
