Kaliyan wasn't in college yet but he had met a few college students while surfing. They told him about the big party that was planned and it had been a while since he had gone to a beach party. He wasn't a big drinker or for that matter much of a dancer but a party on the beach was the best case scenario for him. He was dressed simply in a tanktop from some surf shop back in California, boardshorts and flip flops.

Kal casually made his way over to one of the tables and grabbed a beer. He didn't usually drink a whole lot but it certainly wasn't his first time drinking. Looking around he was kind of surprised at the number of kids at the party. It wasn't really a problem but the beach parties he was familiar with.... well they were usually highschoolers and up. Kal wandered vaguely towards the ocean side of the party, trying not to let the humidity that surrounded him bother anyone too much.

Alexis had been flying back from the quiet little hidden cove he had been frequenting recently when he saw the lights and heard the music of the party. He wasn't invited and he wasn't dressed for a party but he didn't care. They could kick him out if they wanted to. He had landed a little ways down the beach and changed back into his human form.

Alexis kicked off his shoes, hanging them over his shoulder as he walked through the edge of the water. The music and noise of the just-starting party was great but he was wondering why so many people were over at the pool and not by the ocean. Waves were a million times more fun and he'd take salt water over chlorine any day.

Something swelled inside the robotic girl at being referred to as a cutie, as if she had just been told her results were satisfactory. It was only normal for her to look charming to humanoid species, she had been specifically modeled to appear non-threatening to others.

“I apologize for alarming you, for that was not my intention.” Sasha said, her voice remaining monotone. “Although previous generations have had difficulties with liquid exposure, I am fully capable of aquatic activity.” She started, referring to some of the earlier models of automated defender prototypes leading up the mass production model, and after that Sasha herself.

“I am pleased to meet you Shiro. It is not often I come here, but hopefully that will not impede a positive relationship. I am glad that my presence is able to make you feel content.” she said. While being ‘glad’ was not something she understood, it did make her feel something positive when she was doing her initial directive properly, giving the public ease of conscious.

“Swimwear can indeed be quite convenient.” The android girl admitted. It’s unrestrictive approach to clothing was an ideal situation for rotating and reattaching her limbs easily.

Looking at the other girl, Sasha remembered a basic part of human communication skills she had downloaded, “You’re appearance is appeasing also. Attire suitable for body structure.” Sasha said with a slight nod and a thumbs up. Returning compliments was common courtesy in human culture. Although it was not an empty statement. The mechanical girl had done a fair bit of research when attempting to put together an appropriate outfit, and had come to understand a fair bit about what people found appealing in others appearances. While not quite as conventionally attractive as the models displaying swimwear in magazines, Shiro had an appeal of her own, one more fitting for her apparent age.

She'd hum a bit and then chuckle, "I was, not anymore it seems," the vampire demon would tilt her head just a bit, "seemed like a good place to meet new friends or bump into ones you already knew." Her red eyes glowed just a bit as she spoke to the two.

"So, tell me ladies, what's your names?" she knew the name of one of them, but wanted to have a little fun. "This your first party here?" she'd grin a bit, "no parties in the world are like those here on Manta Carlos." @Zora

Natasha smiled at that, about meeting friends, and found herself having a weird sense of deja vu when the girl tilted her head and looked at her with flashing red eyes. Ignoring the weirdness, she looked at Zoraida and then back at the girl. "I'm Natasha and this here's Zoraida," she said gesturing to her best friend.

"Hi..." Zoraida said in greeting, nodding as she sipped her beer, "It's our first beach party on Manta Carlos. We have been to a few other more formal affairs, nightclubs, that kind of thing," she said , "Nat is more the party goer than I am actually." Zora admitted as she looked knowingly at Natasha and grinned.

"She's just exaggerating..." Natasha told the girl with a laugh. "I sometimes go out to dance, that kind of thing." she said as she dipped a bit under the water just wetting the tips of her hair. "Do you go to many parties here on Manta Carlos?" she asked the girl curiously.

Shiro would chuckle, "it's ok Sasha," she'd say, adjusting her bikini top just a bit. "Beach party so bound to get went eventually," she'd give her a friendly smile, "besides, thought I'd be the only teenager here, so I'm happy to have someone my age to talk to."

The cat shifter would tilt her head a bit, curious about the way she'd complimented her. "You flirting with me?" she asked, genuinely uncertain how to judge that compliment, in end she just chuckled, "thank you though."

Standing she'd retrieve another cup of punch, not bothering to see if it was the spiked bowl or not before sitting besides her new friend. "So, what do you like to do Sasaha?" @Demonicmuffin

Camille wandered into the party area, and he already had a grin on his face. He was wearing loose black fabric pants, that reached his knees and just covered the place where Cam's prosthetic was attached to his stump of a leg. Cam had bright red tank top with some black and white floral patterns and some simple jewelery, leather bracelets and one long necklace with a black feather. His hair was braided and Cam had pulled it over his shoulder.
It had been, what, about 6 months since his last party and that had been a more formal thing with tuxedos and proper language. But this kind of casual party where you could let loose Cam hadn't been in for a while. It felt good, honestly, to enter that cloud of chatter and know you could randomly talk to anyone and they would gladly become your conversation partner.
But at the moment Cam only had one objective, and that was to get something to drink. He headed to the beverage table and stood by it, debating between alcoholic beverage or just a soda. Cam decided he wanted to be sober and not risk anything, so he grabbed a coke. Last time he had gotten drunk in a party like this Cam had had to fish his prosthetic out of his friend's pool the next morning. Who knew what crazy adventures he could get in at a magical island such as this.
Although that in itself sounded intriguing...
No, Cam shook his head and forbid himself from getting swept away by an impulse. He was busy and a hangover or doing a treasure hunt for his prosthetic the next day he did not need.
So Cam sipped his coke and went to a bit more quiet area outside, where he could scan the crowd. He considered just going up to anyone and chatting but somehow, after he had spent a day chatting up people here and there, Cam was a bit tired of starting conversation. He sat down on the groud, making sure he wasn't in anyone's way, and sipped his cola. Let's see what this party had to offer.

Haven walked onto the beach, his shoulders squared and his chest puffed out as he tried his best to look a little bit older than he actually was. It didn’t exactly work and he quickly gave up the act. As he wandered through people, his shoulders and arms remained tense. Part of the reason he decided to go to the party was to try and be more comfortable around a lot of people. So far, it wasn’t working.

He wouldn’t leave though, as he managed to squeeze his way to a clearer part of the beach. He wore a white t-shirt and dark red swim shorts, with matching sandals. He hoped that his dyed hair and different eye colour would mean less people recognised him. He did apparently look pretty different. He stiffly held his other arm tightly as he looked around the party. Now he wanted to see someone he knew. He could’ve asked Ava to come with him, but he had the feeling that parties weren’t exactly her environment. They weren’t exactly his environment either.

He sighed as he shuffled. The main reason he came to the party was to rebel, really. His mother would’ve never let him go to a party like this. She wouldn’t have let him dye his hair, wouldn’t let him train his abilities more focusedly. She also wouldn’t let him get a turtle or tortoise, but Haven is doing a lot of research before he actually commits because he wants them to be happy. This party was definitely the biggest ‘no no’ on the list though. So he was determined to stay.

Luna and Azalea sat behind a small table on surprisingly comfortable chairs near where the drinks were being served. They both wore dark blue bikinis with t-shirts over them with the name and emblem of their store.

There was a sign draping over the front of their table that said "Three Flowers Dispensary." On the table was a variety of cannabis products and options for imbibing them. Various jars of flower, all labeled by strain, grinders for the flower, a selection of pre-rolled joints and cheap lighters, and even a large box full of relatively inexpensive acrylic bongs/water pipes that they were told by the hosts to give out to partygoers like a free party favor. There was also a large cooler full of ice and pitchers of cold water to use with the water pipes.

Notably, there was also a small sign at the front of the table that read, "ID REQUIRED, please be of legal age or a valid medical patient." The hosts didn't seem too concerned, but putting the sign up and following through on checking kept them legally compliant, which was a little important if they wanted their business to stay up and running.

"I wonder if there's anyone here you know. The way Rose tells it you two have been managing to get out more than you expected you would." Luna mused, looking around at all the faces of people she didn't know and feeling a sudden longing for the Glade, where she was surrounded by loved ones all the time.

Azalea scanned the crowd to see. "Yes...somehow we have. Half the time it seems to happen by accident. This city is...very colorful." Azalea smiled absently, continuing to scan the crowd. People watching could be fun if there was nothing else to do, and nobody was at the table to partake or ask questions, so Azalea was getting slightly bored. Eventually, she caught sight of a familiar looking face sitting by the pool, in line of sight of the store's table.

"Oh hey, that's Zora, one of our first customers! Someone else I don't know and...is that Aaron?"
Azalea waved to Zora and Aaron, smiling. She must have borrowed Rose's usual boldness, or perhaps she was making up for it in her twin's absence (she had a night class that conflicted, sadly), or perhaps still it was the desire to see familiar faces in a sea of so many strangers. Regardless, she waved in large motions, hoping they'd notice.

She'd chuckle just a bit, "a pleasure to meet you both," she'd say, her fangs showing just a bit. "I hope the island proves to your liking," this was indeed fun, "you'll find you can live here and almost never do the same thing twice...unless you wish too."

"Oh, a partier are we love?" she'd day, giving Natasha a familiar playful smile, "well, I assure you, you'll find plenty of those here." She'd continue smiling, "never know what you'll see, who you'll meet or how you'll meet."

Then she noticed the waving of the familiar elven figure, smiling she'd wave back, "hello Azalea, it's good to see you out and about," she'd call to her eleven friend, "hope you're having fun." @Zora @Dream Mist

As Zora chatted pleasantly with Natasha and the new girl, glad that they had met someone to talk at this beach party, she noticed a movement in the distance. Focusing her attention on the person, she smiled, recognising the colourful stripes in her hair. It was Azalea, the girl that had helped her decorate her offices turning them into a wonderful calming oasis of the senses. The mint and lavender made the place smell lovely and helped reduce stress.

"Hey, Nat..."Zora said as her friend looked at her quizzically, "It's that girl I told you about, the one with the flowershop who also sells cannabis. She's over there..." Zora stated, "I'm going to say hi. Be back in a moment." she said as she got to her feet, and walked barefoot over to where Azalea was.

"Hey there!" Zora smiled in greeting as she took in all the things Azalea had on the table, somewhat mystified by a lot of it. "I didn't know you'd be here too." she said glad to see somebody she actually knew.
