Konpeitō nodded and listened to Neon speak. All the while, he watched the boy play the prize machine. Those were supposed to be difficult, yet he won three prizes so easily. After being allowed to have one of his prizes, he bent down to pick up the black cat plushie.
"Tha—" Kon paused, unsure if Neon was a fae or not. He instead said,
"The gift makes me happy."
Thinking through on how to respond to the heavier stuff, he continued,
"I'm happy everything worked out for them. Closest to that that I've experienced is having to hide my supernatural identity to friends. Funnily enough, since coming here, I've been able to reveal more to them." Kon paused once more. This time, he was worried he was focusing too much on his side of the conversation on himself. As the leader of TWIS, he needed to be better than that.
"It may be better to move on yourself? Now that you received closure with how your friends are doing. Your friends have moved on from your death, so it wouldn't be good for you to keep chasing after them. Er, take my words lightly. I'm no therapist, I just help out with some group counseling. I'd advise going to an actual therapist if this sort of stuff is still affecting you, even if it's not in a clearly negative way."
