One could hear Noah limping up the stairs long before they could see him, the steady sound of his cane hitting the ground, and his other foot stepping heavily on to the next step echoing up the passage way to signal his arrival.
When he finally reached the last step, left leg burning even more then usual and the other stiff from leaning on it, he was trying as hard to remember why he wanted to come up to the towers in the first place, but he honestly couldn't remember. It wasn't for the view, no, the roof provided the same with half as much effort required to get there. It definitely wasn't to be alone, because it was obvious to him by now that one could barely ever be alone in this school. So why had he bothered? He honestly didn't know, but now that he was at the top, he might as well go and pretend to care about watching the tiny students bustle around below him.
He limped over to the balcony, noting without much surprise the upset looking girl standing in the middle. Someone trying to be alone. He considered leaving, quickly shooting the idea down. He hadn’t spent all that time walking up only to turn around and go right back down again just because of some girl.. He sat down on the ledge, looking in the opposite direction then the girl and remaining silent for a few moments before "What's wrong with you, then?" he half asked, glancing over at her curiously before turning away again.
