Lei looked over Sid's shoulder to watch the inferno, which was pretty bad, and heard the sound of police sirens gaining in at the distance. They were gone before they could catch them, though. His cold fear turned into relief and amusement, and broke into a fit of uncontrollable giggles. "Welp. Get rekt, scrub car, you can't prove anything in court."

God. Just, god. That was fucking nuts. Lei had never done anything like that before! Well, property damage was typical for him at this point, but he'd never done it semi on purpose and never for the sake of pure fun. It was such a rush. His blood felt like it was on fire.

He looked at Sid with wide, bright eyes, burning with unbridled affection. His head was screaming an ungodly cacophony of Siiiid Sid Sid SidSidSidSid over and over again like a child throwing a tantrum, and Lei wondered what the fuck was up with that, like his head had suddenly lost the ability to speak, crossed everything out and just wrote SID on top of the mess. Couldn't his heart be a little more poetic than that? Ugh. He supposed artistry was nice and all, but as soon as they got to a dark place in the park where nobody could catch them, Lei wrapped his arms around Sid's neck and pulled him into a kiss.

Sid was thankful that Lei was as light as he was. It made their getaway a lot easier--since he didn't have to worry about being bogged down by a whole extra person's worth of weight. If he had to guess, Lei only clocked in at just over 90lbs, which was a pittance to Sid. Hell, he'd eaten things that were bigger and heavier than Lei, most likely.

The scream of sirens blared through the city, and if the firework, baa-ing, and resulting inferno along with a screaming car didn't wake up the entire city, well that certainly did. The drow couldn't help but laugh as he reached out and grabbed a lap post, using it to change direction 90 degrees and catapult them into a quiet, dark part of the park where hopefully no police would be looking.

"Yeah," he said with a grin, sounding only slightly winded from their getaway. "Maybe our final version of that shouldn't--mm?"

Suddenly they were kissing, and Sid's body, which had been boiling hot from the adrenaline of running away from the police and property destruction, kissed back a little harder than he might have normally. His arms wrapped around Lei's thin waist and pulled him close. The drow was hyped up, and suddenly just this kiss wasn't enough.

He pulled back and scooped Lei up so they were more easily at the same height and attacked his face with kisses.

"Ahaha!" he laughed into the night.

This felt right. This felt so right. His skin was on fire and his heart was threatening to leap out of his damn chest and soar into the heavens, bright and bursting and colorful like the set of chemicals they sent into the air moments ago. Sid was just as beautiful too, he thought idly, and he'd kick himself for being so damn cheesy if he wasn't absolutely stupid with affection.

Each of Sid's kisses burned. His lips were sore from how hard Sid kissed him earlier, and the tingling, lingering ache did nothing to abate the spreading warmth in his body. He clung to Sid, arms around his neck and legs around his middle, skin burning on bare, familiar skin and. God. Hot and bothered wasn't how he planned the night to end, but it was definitely not unwelcome. He laughed into the curve of Sid's neck, and he tried to kiss him again, pressing small kisses on wherever they landed, but right now — all right, he couldn't stop laughing. He really couldn't stop laughing. Not out of amusement, but pure, unbridled glee. He was crying now, too. Shit.

He couldn't remember a time where he was ever this happy.

"Thank you," he said, voice unexpectedly light. Those weren't quite the right words, he knew, but they were enough. This... should be enough.

Chuckles wouldn't stop coming from behind the drow's lips as he leaned against a lamp post that didn't work, the metal against his bare back like someone had pressed solid ice to his spine as he kept kissing Lei's skin, unable to keep down a bubbling laugh whenever their skin met for even a little.

Which was bothersome because with arms around his neck and legs around his waist, their skin was meeting quite a lot and it was a strange mix of arousing and hilarious that he wasn't sure he'd ever felt before, but was equal parts exciting and just.... well... Lei.

It was interesting how much affection he could feel himself developing for the chinese cutie--after all, this was the first time he'd commited property damage more or less on purpose with an accomplice. And just like sexual gratification and break-dancing, it was a lot more fun to do in groups.

"Thank me for what? For being a terrible enabler?" He kissed Lei again, not hard, it was fond and soft this time. "If so, you're welcome and we should totally do it again."

Lei's eyes were fluttering and he needed that to stop, ugh. "Yeah. Yeah! Definitely. Maybe with less property damage." He couldn't wipe the stupid grin off his face. The idea of doing conceivably anything with Sid was exciting in itself — making stuff explode, running, kissing, being with him. But not like. You know. Dating. He already had Deith. Why would his brain even bring that up?

Maybe it was because Sid was kissing him so sweetly, and his body was burning up with waves of honest, shaky desire. It always surprised him how shamelessly needy he was. He wanted him so badly, more than anything he could ever want in the world. It would've been so easy to give in and move from Point A to Point B and explore that dizzying, fluttery, airy light heat but.

He shouldn't. Right? He got off Sid, foot a bit wobbly when it made contact with the ground, parting bittersweet but assured with the fact that he would've hated himself more if he went with it. He kept his arms around Sid's neck, kissing him again when he was standing, and he practically jumped when he heard someone scream, "Hey!" in the background.

Fffffuuu-- Lei turned around abruptly, all the heat traded for ice cold fear, and surprisingly, instead of the promise of juvie, all the cop did was smack his partner on the arm. "It couldn't be them. It's just a couple of teenagers! Get your head out of your ass."

Phew.

Lei spun around to look at Sid again, eyes bright. Speaking of bright things, the dark night sky was a gradient of dark blue and orange. Whoops. "I guess we're in the clear," he said, almost a whisper but way too excited for the volume. "You wanna get breakfast?"

"That sure is an odd way of saying there should be more property damage," Sid responded with a quiet, breathy laugh his lips against Lei's in a not quite kiss, it was after they kiss was finished and he hadn't quite worked up the effort necessary to want to pull away from the smaller boy.

As Lei climbed down from his grasp, the drow used his arms to steady him so he wouldn't fall over once one of his feet touched the ground. Lei would do it somehow.

The loud call of police made Sid physically jump, but luckily it could be played off as him just being incredibly surprised by them coming out of nowhere and yelling at him, thank god. One of the police officers seemed to side with them, and dragged their partner away to look for the real culprits. Making out with your friend in the park was always a good way throw off suspicion, he found.

At the prospect of breakfast and slowly brightening sky, Sid's stomach let out a shallow gurgle. "Hell yeah I wanna get some breakfast. Let's get some McDonalds. I hear they have good hash browns."

Lei took one, hard look at Sid...

and breathed. The sun was rising and the day was just beginning but Lei was more than ready to call it a day. Holy fuck, all he wanted was to stuff an ungodly amount of chicken nuggets into his mouth and kiss a little, preferably not in that order. He held Sid's arm and smiled, as bright as the morning.

"I'm always a slut for the breakfast menu."
