Cecete wasn't a student at Starlight Academy; she was a royal citizen. She was engaged to Alex Drakenhardt, king and leader of a dragon clan and was heir to a kingdom of harpies. She also worked at an adoption center just because she could. With all of these obligations, one may think that she did not have time for friendships or idle chatter. However, there were spans of free time where she could honestly use someone to talk to. Considering that she was several months pregnant now, it would be of great help if she could find someone with knowledge of children.

Coincidentally enough, Milo knew someone. She was participating in the elections as well. The sister only had a bit of knowledge about her. Anything else she would have to learn via this meeting. It was odd realizing that she didn't really socialize much outside of the family she was marrying into. The queen could do with more connections outside of the dragon clans. In the meantime, she conversed with a bird in birdspeak as she patiently waited at a table in the courtyard. She had a decent grasp of the campus thanks to her younger brother, so she wasn't completely lost navigating here.

Another meet-and-greet within the same day. It was funny, the past few weeks had provided more social interaction than what she had in probably a year. This time though it wasn’t to seek out another politician, but another mother. Or mother expecting to be.

Now this was someone she could off the bat relate to in something a bit more internal. She had already delivered, but the memories of the time leading up to that day were still fresh in her mind. Even with the business of her schedule, some things were always there. After all, who could forget the trials it took to see her daughter’s face for the first time?

She smiled in recollection as she passed through the other side of the courtyard. She stopped in her trail though as she spotted what she assumed was the young lady in question. Communicating with a bird, it seemed. How neat.

"’Cuse me, are you Cecete?" She called out, hopefully in the most polite tone she could muster. She was naturally a bit abrasive, though this time she hoped she didn’t come across as such. "I’m Loralei. I heard we could relate to a few things." She said with a bit of a small smile..

Their conversation was interrupted by the arrival of a female. From the way she approached her, it could be inferred that this was Loralei. She didn't really seem human; her skin was not only very pale but grey in color. That was not a possible color; at least it wasn't possible for a human. Her hair was impossibly thick; it almost made Cecete want to poke it. However, touching her without permission would be entirely rude. She instead kept her hands to herself and glanced up into her cyan eyes. The bird meanwhile glanced at Cecete to judge her expression before happily tweeting hello to Loralei.

"Yes, I am Cecete. It is nice to meet you, Loralei."

She stood up from her seat. A cute little baby bump was visible in her flower kimono dress. Her hand extended out to the woman in an attempt to offer her a handshake.

"I am glad you could make time to meet with me. It would seem that the election process would make ones involved in it very busy."

Not like she spoke from experience though. She had the equivalent of homeschooling, so there was no student council elections for her. The changeling smiled warmly. She desired to sit back down, but she didn't want to be rude. The bird chose to leave the two be and fly off to do bird things.

Even from a distance, Loralei could tell she was already gauging the interaction to follow. Or at least, her presence. She didn’t mind, though. She knew she looked a little different from most people, and that she had questions directed towards her because of such. It was something she shrugged off, honestly.

"The pleasure is mutual." Loralei replied lightly once she had approached, offering her hand to return a polite shake. Once that was complete she sat down across from her, folding her legs. The bird was nearby, and she smiled at its presence. All in all, she was getting used to one-on-one encounters with strangers. It came with the position, after all.

"Of course. I mean, the whole race is kind of hectic, but I still have time to meet new people." She responded. It was true, though. This was the most action she had in awhile, though it was good to take a break for a chat. And Cecete was someone she could at least talk with about something that she knew on a personal level. But, she still had to be somewhat formal. Not because she had a reputation to hold now, but because she knew that Cecete was a loftier position than she could ever dream of.

"Being a new mother and having to try to secure the vote has me constantly busy. Maybe it wasn’t my best idea to run into this race so quickly, but I can’t back out now." She sighed, though looked back up at her. "But enough about me. How have you been doing? I hope you’re… Adjusting to things alright."
