If Lorencia's ears were one of those animal ones, they'd be perking right up at attention at Haru's introduction. Praxian? Mes? They sounded exotic! Did that mean she was from another world to? Were all of them as tall as she was? Were they as big-muscled too?! She had a lot to ask this woman!
Lorencia beamed when Hazel announced that they were dating. Come to think of it, her classmates often talked about who they were dating. Lorencia only told them that she was dating Hazel if they asked. It just never occurred to her that she should let people know. But how was she going to edge that into a conversation? For now maybe she should stick to what she was doing.
"Oh, Void Walkers is just what our ancestors decided to call us when they got sucked into this giant portal that took an entire archipelago with it. They called the new place the Void, and since then they identified us as Void Walkers. Generally speaking. Though the other races are also called Void Walkers. It's a general label. Sort of. Makes it simpler when our people go to other worlds, or when people from other worlds visit us. But setting that aside for now!" She beamed a smile at the boy. "If Hazel and I get married, you'll be my little baby too! That's how it works, right?"
