"Ahh, nothing more than extreme agility and the ability to freeze time for specific objects, such as a bullet or someone trying to outrun me." he said with a smile. "Not much, but it gets me through the day."

Looking into her eyes, something in his mind just snapped. He had an urge to say something, and he decided to go through with it.

"If I may say so, you have got to be the most beautiful woman I've ever seen. May I ask the age of someone so heavenly?" he asked, still looking into her eyes with his violet orbs.

"I'm 16 and surely you have seen other more beautiful women." Lauren said. Lauren knew she was pretty but no one had ever told her repeatedly that she was beautiful. She still had her eyes locked with his, it seemed as though she couldn't move them. Not that she wanted to anyway.

"Highly unlikely. I think I'd remember someone if they were half as lovely as you. And only 16? Maybe it is your youth that adds to your beauty." he said, still smiling and looking into her eyes. For some reason, the stars didn't seem interesting anymore.

"How old are you then?" Lauren asked him back. "Maybe it is my youth. I can't have you finding out my secret now can I?" Lauren said with a playful smile. Her brown eyes started to sparkle a little from the moon light.

"Why, just merely 17 this past August. And please, don't tell me your secret. It adds to the persona of a siren that you have." he said with a wink. Her eyes had their own ethereal glow to them, it was hypnotizing just to look at them. Maybe it was the moonlight, but they were like magnets none the less.

"I wasn’t planning on telling you anyway."Lauren said still smiling. "So sir charming tell me about yourself......." Lauren said wanting to know more about him. She thought she had a right to know a little more about her prince charming, if it was indeed him.

"Not much to know." he shrugged, finally breaking eye contact, as painful as it was, to look at the stars. "I was born and raised in a small town... I'd always been abnormally fast, but no one really though anything of it. I didn't even know I could control the time thing until one day... when there was a fire in the grocery store."

He gave a reminscent smile. "Nobody was hurt, but I got seperated from my parents. I was nearly trampled to death until finally I got sick of it and just yelled 'Stop'. When I opened my eyes again, everything was standing still. I had no idea what was going on until I fainted. Took alot out of me, to stop the whole space-time thing. I haven't been able to do it since."

"Well, I found my family after the fire thankfully. After that, life just went on. I found out I was 'special' and decided to start traveling. I found this place, and decided to stay. Glad I did too, or else I wouldn't have been able to come and see the stars tonight." he said with a genuine smile as he looked back at her.

"Not only are you a prince but you’re a time stopper too." Lauren said. Lauren tried to think about something half as interesting as his story but the only thing she could think that was even interesting was when she came here. Her past wasn’t something she was proud of and she didn’t like to share it either. "How fascinating." She said.

"Not nearly as fascinating as you, my dear." he said sincerely.

"I hate to sound rushed, but I must ask you: Do you have a... companion to go to the Dance with?" he inquired. He was extremely nervous, and would have been sweating bullets, but he never showed his nervous. He just hid it with another one of his charming smiles.

"No actually I don't. This is the first time someone was ever mentioned a dance to me and yes I'll go with you if that's what you were going to ask me." Lauren said, helping him along the way in asking her to go with him.
