He wiped the crimson liquid from his head. "And so I am. Usually happens when someone falls down the stairs." he said with a shrug.

He wanted her to look at him, just once more. If they weren't going to be together for something he had done, whatever that may be, he at least wanted to see her beautiful face once more, smiling, before she shut him out.

"I... I'm sorry Lauren..." he said, looking at the floor. He honestly didn't know what else to say.

Lauren stood up from sitting on the step. Something inside her was telling her that he was telling the truth, but Lauren didn’t want to listen. She walked closer to him and looked into his eyes, and she hugged him tightly. "Sorry, but I can’t be with you." Lauren said, she began to walk away.

He gave a depressed smile, if that was even possible.

"That's... okay, Lauren. Just as long as yiu know that I refuse to be with anyone BUT you..." he said, hearing her footsteps go slowly past him.

"Just never forget that..." he said quietly, just barely loud enough for her to here. At that moment, he collapsed onto the ground, not unconscious, just... strained. He just needed to rest.

Lauren knew she couldn’t be with him. She didn’t want her heart broken, anymore then it already was. As she walked away, she said "Forgive me." She went to the dorms.

"My dear... it is I that must repent... for I have sinned against thee... do not ask me for forgiveness unless you intend to mock me..." he said before standing up, wobbling a bit, and headed for his dormroom.
