"Look me in the eyes and tell me your fine." he said, voice slightly faultering.

"To stare into one's eyes are to look into their soul. Lauren, I want to know the truth. I'll stop being flirty if you want, I'll do anything you want. Just... tell me." he said. He had only been with her half an hour, and already he felt like he would fall apart if she left him like that.

Lauren realized something. He said he was naturally flirty, so did that mean he was just playing with her. Lauren thought, if there was another girl in the tower room instead of her, would he act the same? Would he say how beautiful that girl was too? Lauren couldn’t believe she was being played by him.

Lauren eyes got all watery. "You’re a jerk!" She yelled running down the stairs.

And suddenly, as if only for a moment, he felt as if he were in Hell, skin being ripped off of his bones, heart and soul being torn from his body. Slowly, he dropped to his knees.

What had he done? What had he said? What was it that made her run?

He didn't know. He didn't care either. He must have said something horrible, maybe done too much.

Minutes that passed seemed like decades, and after awhile, he stood back up and headed back up towards the balcony at the top of the tower.

Could he have done something differently? Could he have stopped it all?

Again he didn't care. As he stepped onto the balcony, he looked up into the sky. Slowly but surely, the stars were being covered by black, ominous clouds, and even the moon disappeared.

It was all his fault...

As Lauren raced down the steps. She could feel her heart pounding loudly. How could she be so stupid, she fell into someone little trap. She was being used. Lauren forgot her number one rule, it was to always protect her heart and this night she didn’t.

The rain began to fall like tears fromt he sky. A goddess betrayed by a wretch...

"What have I done..." he said. Slowly, his emotions began to take hold.

'It's my fault.'
'It's my fault.'
'It's my fault.'
'It's my fault.'

A tear shed down his face. Hir purple hair became drenched, and finally he just... lost it.

"Why won't it all just STOP!" he yelled, punching a the wall beside him.

Suddenly, the sound of the rain stopped. He couldn't hear the drops hit, or the wind howl. He turned around, and looked outside. Everything had stopped... once again, he had stopped time.

He looked down below, and saw people standing still. On the rooftops, people sat under umbrellas, all frozen in time.

'Now is my chance...' he thought, seeing one small glimmer of hope.

Pulling out a small notepad that he usually cariied around and a miniature pencil that was with it, he wrote on a small piece of paper a letter, which said:

Lauren please forgive me for whatever sin I have commited against you. I don't know what I did to suddenly deserve you're hatred, but whatever I did has caused you pain. Seeing you in pain... Oh great goddess, forgive me. I don't understand what it is, but if it is enough to make you do this to me, then I would rather perish and burn than see you like this.

He smiled as another tear fell. He always suck at writing.

He ran out the door. He was sure he only had a few short minutes left, so he had to catch up. As each second ticked by, he could feel himself slowly getting more and more exhausted.

Then, as he turned a corner, he saw her, frozen still. Her eyes were wet from the tears. 'I made her shed those tears...'

Looking at her open hands, he slipped the note into one, and turned to go. Before he could run, he turned back around and wiped a tear from her cheek.

He turned back around, and ran a few steps. just before he could reach the door, he dropped. He couldn't hold it any longer...

Everything went black as he heard the raindrops fall.

((sorry, not only do I suck at writing letters and stuff, but I god-modded you a bit.. >.<))

Lauren continued running down the steps. Until she finally noticed, she was holding a note that wasn’t there before. She read it, if it was true then she just ran away from someone who cared about her and if it wasn’t true then he was just like what she called him, a jerk. Lauren dropped then note, how was she suppose to know what was true and what wasn't. More tears began to fall down as she sat down on the one of the last steps to the third floor. She wasn’t sure of anything anymore.

There she was, standing at the balcony, as if nothing had ever happened, still beautiful, like a goddess.

"Lauren, I..."

His eyes shot open. God, where did that headache come from?

He stood up, which hurt by itself. Where was he? He looked around, and it all came back to him. He must have fallen down the steps. Geez, it was a miracle he was alive.

He walked back up, wondering if she got the note. Each step seemed to take so much out of him. As he made his way up, he heard some sobs. As he turned the corner, there she sat, crying.

As he stumbled his way up, he managed to say, "Oh goddess, why do you cry...?"

Lauren thought she heard something over her sobs but wasn't sure. She couldn’t control them and she didn’t want to look up and find out. Lauren bit her lip, she couldn’t stop herself from crying. Ok Lauren you have to stop. she told herself. She picked the note back up and read it another time.

She had ignored him, and picked up the note. As she began to read it, he leaned against the rock wall with a sigh.

"That's the truth, Lauren..." he muttered, beginnign to recouperate from the concussion. Was that blood on his eyebrow?

Lauren heard him that time. She looked up at him, and she wiped away her tears. Lauren didn’t know what to say so she didn’t say anything. Her face expression was blank, and unreadable. Lauren just stared, she finally noticed blood coming from his face. "Your bleeding." She told him, she looked away.
