Tadashi's purrs made it quite clear he enjoyed the attention and he stretched out into what seemed to be his most relaxed form. No longer really focusing on the art itself.

Pulling himself together a little so he didnt miss out on the conversation he looked between the other two. Ok he didn't hate hate the water. It was kinda ok in human form but he still wasnt great at swimming. "Never been to a hot spring but miss Zoraida... my... niece was teaching me to swim." He had to pause a little and sounded a little unsure how to describe how they were related.

"I'm curious how you didnt lose your ink in the water though?" He questioned Sumi, but only after he rubbed his face against Junchi's hand.

It made sense for Junchi to like water, and its dangers too, Sumi could recognize that. "I will confess I was very scared the first time I had to take a shower, and I had to take shower because someone burned trash near the school and the smell clung to me. If I'm in a tub I can simply melt and let the water clean me through.", taking his bottle of water, he took a long gulp and offered them, if they wanted.

He wasn't sure on how to answer Tadashi, but tried anyways: "Hm, that's a tough one... At first it felt like water was like needles piercing me, but it was just a initial shock. My heart keeps the whole ink in me together."

Junchi's face wrinkled at the mention of trash being burned. He tried to not let his feelings be too obvious by forcing his face to relax, but the momentary pause in his petting of Tadashi gave himself away. To make up for it, he took Sumi's bottled water with a soft, "Thank you." Then he carefully adjusted his mask to drink from it without his mouth being seen before returning the bottle back to its original owner.

"I think I'm similar. My hearts keep me together too, even when I'm a bunch of flowers. If I didn't have my hearts, I'd separate into a bunch of flowers or turn into a tree, I think. Oh, and I've never been in a hot spring before. I think it's because most of my family is half Water element."

Tadashi listened and tried to imagine being a figure of meltable ink or a cluster of flowers. It was too much, so he let the other two talk for a bit and laid there comfortably.

Junchi's pause earned him a questioning look from the cat but otherwise he was happy just listening. At the offer of water he shook his little cat head a bit. He could get some of his own when he switched back to having hands in a while.

"I wouldn't be surprised if you are similar, Junchi. But really, never soaked in a hot spring? That is a suprise... How to best describe it... Imagine a warm bath that almost feels like a natural massage through every inch of your body, cleaning it all. It is very relaxing.", certainly Sumi had fond memories of it, and as they talked he didn't even notice he was done inking the second page. However as soon as he took notice, he went for the next page.

But before he could start inking page 3 he gave a slight frown. "I think I erased something on the ship by mistake... What was it again...?", shortly after that, he began "drawing" on the air with his fingers what it might be. Seemed to be near the sail, if someone kept track of his fingers, as nothing was physically pained on the air.

"I couldn't do that now. I'm made to survive in the cold, not the heat. But before I became half Water, I would take hot baths, and those were nice!" Junchi made an almost desperate attempt to relate to what Sumi was saying about hot springs. As much as he didn't want to admit it, he didn't like feeling like he was missing out on something because of what element he was now.

Junchi watched Sumi draw carefully, trying to figure out what he was making. "I don't know a lot about ships, but I have my phone. I can try looking it up for you." After tapping the screen of his phone a dozen times, he brought up the image of a ship with its parts defined for Sumi to see. "Does that help?"

Tadashi wiggled free and then climbed up to Junchi's shoulder to get a better look at the drawing. "Maybe if I went in human form the hot spring thing might be ok. But I dont think I would like it." Not to mention he'd probably be asked to remove his gloves and socks to get in- and that wasnt something he was super comfortable with.

So he turned his attention to the drawing, eying Sumi's hands as they traced invisibly in the air. Tadashi wasnt too familiar with sailing or boats in general but he was familiar with perching up high. "Maybe... is there supposed to be a crow's nest?" Did they even have crows nests in that kind of boat? Oh well. He made himself comfy there on Junchi's shoulder, trying to avoid using his claws as much as possible.

He didn't know a lot about sailing

Sumi thought over and over. "Maybe I better look at the other pages.", and so he did, fetching the later pages. A couple pages in he found the answer to what detail he forgot to add: "This part here should have a hole on the sail, he would patch it while docked at a later point, and that's when he would find a rabbit who was responsible for it."

And with that he improvised the hole with more care than usual, it would take considerably longer.

Junchi's shoulders sagged. Apparently he didn't help. That was his attempt at paying Sumi back for the water bottle, but it seemed that he would need to do more to show his appreciation.

"You know, you should meet my little sibling. They loooooove drawing, but they're really shy, so I have to be the one to introduce them to friends. They're good at drawing too! I bet they could learn a lot from you. And how did a rabbit end up on his boat?"

Junchi was never good at sticking to one topic.

Tadashi started cleaning his face with his paws as he listened. Apparently neither of them had been able to help but only Sumi knew what the story was so they couldn't have known about the hole anyway. He tried to cheer Junchi up by purring softly.

"Is this a story that is already written or are you making it up as you draw it?" He didn't want to overwhelm Sumi with questions but he was curious.
