Ebviony arrived at the park in their adoptive mother's arms feeling fantastic. Ever since their talk with Celeste, they had been in the highest of spirits. Now they were more excited than ever to make friends. To bring children to their land of toys and joys. The idea of ever hiding their court from their Celeste felt extremely silly. That wasn't to say Ebvion ever was extremely silly. Good children knew when to act silly for the entertainment of their mother.

Once put down, Ebviony began running through the park, then fluttering into the air to be with the other kids, soon landing on a sandbox with another child nearby. There, they had no problem getting their shorts dirty, as long as they were able to make fun conversation with a newly-made friend.

Celeste watched contentedly (and funnily enough, a bit proudly) as Ebviony took off with such confidence and full of zeal towards the sandbox to play with other children.

Everything seemed to be much better now that they had been able to talk. Celeste often worried about Ebviony's happiness, more than Azure's or Shale's simply because Ebviony was the youngest, and inspired in Celeste a sense of protectiveness. She knew Shale and Azure could take care of themselves and would one day leave the nest, but Ebviony was, in a way, her forever little one, and despite the fact they were the least forthcoming with their affection, Celeste felt that every day was a tiny step toward them, perhaps and eventually, letting her become their second mother.

Sitting down on a park bench, Celeste put the backpack with snacks beside her. Then she put on her sunglasses and watched Ebviony and the other children play for a while. Their laughter and excited voices echoing through the playground, and making her smile. She adored their carefreeness and total lack of concern for anyone watching them play.

Zizi was on a rather good mood, or at least she was on a better mood that her usual good mood. Zizi was hard to get down and easy to get up mood wise. She was content with her contacts with all of big boy's "children", and Anita had taken an extra great liking to her, which fit Zizi's plans to a tee. The following weeks ought to be filled with entertainment.
Zizi almost skipped along the park path, looking down at her phone and at all the messages from Anita. She answered with the kind of persona Anita knew her as, and then put the phone away.

Zizi looked around, and noticed a small park ahead with couple of children and their parents. Children, huh? It was still strange to Zizi that Altizica called the young eldritchs and the artificially made organism by the name on NEK0 his children. Zizi loved surprises and even more she loved figuring them out, and she had few theories as to why he bothered at that. Either big boy was going to eat them when they grew big enough, he was making sure that they were happy only to bring them despair later on, or he had actually became more humane and cared for them. The last one was so ridiculous it made Zizi laugh, which it did even now, and she chuckled as she passed the playground. But before she was completely past it something caught her eye. Zizi turned to look, and saw...herself?

The child's soul was familiar, very familiar. It had a similar glow to Zizi's own, except something else was mixed in as well. But this body and eyes couldn't tell what exactly, and that greatly frustrated Zizi. Why did this child have a similar souls to hers? There weren't any other Zizi's host bodies in this dimension.

While Zizi contemplated she had walked at the very edge of the playground, pretty near to the sandbox, and was clearly staring at the child with similar soul to hers. Zizi didn't even pay attention to what the child actually looked like, the soul had her much more confused and intrigued.

Once in a while, Ebvion would look back to see if their mom was still there and watching them. There was a sense of pride in having Celeste smile upon them playing well with other kids. It meant they were behaving well. That they were finally doing something "right" in this confusing world.

That sense of pride soon faded as Ebvion felt unknown eyes watching them. Initially, they ignored it, thinking those eyes were for another child. And then they kept staring. And staring. And staring. And Ebvion couldn't help but look back at the tall woman who, despite looking directly at Ebvion, seemed focus on something else.

Was she one of those creepy bad people Ebvion had to watch out for? The ones who sometimes put weird things in candy? Most people on this island were very kind to Ebvion, so that seemed doubtful, but this woman was very interested in them for some reason.

"Um... H-Hello." Their tone started off unsure but quickly picked up in confidence as they continued. All the while, Ebvion resisted looking to Celeste for assistance. Whatever the problem was here, they could handle it, because they did nothing wrong."I am Ebvion of the Danaus Court... Who might you be?"

Zizi didn't know or care how long she observed the child's soul, not that it even mattered because no matter how much Zizi peered into the glow she just couldn't figure out what was the glow mixed in with her own. This body should have complete memories if her main body, maybe this child was the result of something some of her other host bodies had done? In that case this body wouldn't have knowledge of that. The host bodies didn't get the memories of each other, that would very quickly ruin the host bodies' brains.

But before long people and the child itself noticed that Zizi had been staring at them, and it talked to Zizi. Zizi blinked once and now she looked at what the child looked like. An unusual appearance, one Zizi would've been tempted to possess had it been bit older. Possessing children was only useful on shorter periods of time, adult bodies were more convenient.

"Wait, did you say Danaus Court?"
Those words instantly drew Zizi's attention, and she knelt down to the child's level. The child did kind of look like her. The rather twisted creature that came to Zizi's mind when Danaus Court was mentioned. Not that Zizi was one to talk, she was rather twisted as well.
Zizi was already starting to realize what might be happening here, but she still needed to ask.
"Child, do you have anything to do with Viridae?"

Ebvion resisted the urge to back away from the woman. They found themself completely distracted and intimidated by her. Their body language must have indicated to the child they were playing with that playtime was over. That they were talking to a parent and needed to be left alone. Everything told Ebvion to throw sand into this stranger's eyes for ruining their attempt at making a friend, but Celeste was right there. Not yet.

That thought quickly dissipated when their mother's name was brought up. Ebvion froze, a blank look appearing on their face. Viridae? How did she know about Viridae? How? Why? No, of course she knew. They were a famous fae court known for helping children. Or used to be, until some faeries brought all of their joy down because of jealousy.

"Yes... Yes! I'm her child and the new Monarch of the Danaus Court." It felt dirty to promote themself in comparison to their mom. "Y-You haven't told me who you are."

Zizi didn't really care about this child being a monarch or whatever, just like thousands of years ago she hadn't cared about what Viridae had done with the magic Zizi had given her. Though now she was suspecting this child was what that woman had done. Since the child claimed to be Viridae's child. But Zizi wanted to get full confirmation, and she held back an amused, sly smile.
"You will find out who I am after one more question. Ebvion, was it? If that woman is your mother, then who is your father?"
If this child really even had a father. Zizi's main body didn't have a gender of any kind, and if this child had really been made from her magic then it really didn't have a father. Just a mother and an ancient, formless being with no gender as its other half.

Ebvion was never good at mind games. They were allowed to watch their mother make deals and admire her elegance when handling them, but that's all they've ever done. Watching, admiring, and being the perfect child who stood by.

Now it was Ebvion's time to play mind games and they had no idea what they were doing. Should they push harder for the woman's name before answering? What if she got fed up and left? Then should they answer another of her questions? But that might show weakness, and it didn't seem fair for Ebvion to answer multiple questions while the stranger answered none so far. There was no guarantee she would ever answer.

Ebvion was too interested to annoy the stranger into answering their question. The topic of their father was something they always wondered about with no answers being received. If they asked, their mother responded in a roundabout fashion or said it didn't matter. All they knew was that their father was eldritch and how the deal worked.

"U-Um... I don't know..." That was a weak answered. "But he's eldritch. He made a deal with Mommy. Now I'm here."

Zizi had expected the child would bargain, would demand or refuse to answer. But apparently it was more simple than Zizi had expected, it was even disappointing. Especially since it turned out that this child indeed was the one who held the magic Zizi had given away a while back. Though it wasn't that long of a while for a being like Zizi.

"Hmmm. Is that so~?"
Zizi said, and now she let the amused, sly smile on her face, chuckling a bit. This was interesting, so very interesting. Viridae had created life, had created a little doll for herself. Zizi didn't know much about Viridae's court, Zizi preferred her playthings weren't as slippery as fae could be, but she knew enough. Viridae must've been very satisfied with this creation of hers.
"I will share my name if you swear you won't share it without my consent. Otherwise I will remain nameless and you won't learn about your daddy. Is that a deal, fae?"
Zizi raised her brow a bit, still kneeling in front of Ebvion, with mischievous smile on her face.

Ebvion didn't like how this person refused to use their name. It was demeaning. Unfitting for their permission. What right did this stranger have to walk into their life and treat them like a nameless puppy? That smiling was unnerving as well. The only thing keeping Ebvion from lashing out was their curiosity over their dad.

"Yes... a deal. You should use my name too. It's Ebvion. Or Ebviony. You may also refer to me as The Monarch"
