Appearance Description:

Arabelle is a 5'4" girl with long hair that nearly hits the floor. Her white, wavy hair is incredibly thick and hard to comb through all of the way. She has large red eyes that she honestly dislikes. They're in her least favorite color, and she can't even seen other colors besides red and blue with them. Her skin is pale and burns easily in the Sun. At least she's not a vampire. Her chest is rather flat. Her body is rather young-looking in general — it can be easy to mistake her for being younger than she actually is. She is skinny with her only curves being her hips really. She has a round-shaped bottom. She doesn't weigh much — people that lift regularly would have no trouble picking her up.

Ara has a consistently girly style that includes ribbons and ruffles. She would fit the sweet lolita clothing style based on her choice of pastels along with the aforementioned designs. Notably she constantly wears blue. In fact, blue is all that's in her closet. She wears nothing but blue every single day. This may be due to the fact all she can see is blue and red, and blue is her favorite color. It's much easier to match stuff if everything is in a color you can see. She doesn't want to go outside looking horrible because she accidentally put on a bright yellow top with hunter green shorts and purple shoes. That would be embarrassing. While she can somewhat try to determine the color based on how light or dark something is, she can't say for sure that's what the color is if she can't see it.

Personality Description: Arabelle would make for a good mother. She's very nurturing and protective. She has a habit of babying her friends and constantly asking about everyone's well-being. She wants to be sure that her loved ones are safe and sound. She's very proactive when it comes to helping others, and she performs a lot of volunteer work. She's led a few charity drives and has acted as a server for fundraising events. She holds a great dislike towards those that are willing to kill others. While she can be understanding in the case of self defense, she absolutely does not tolerate those who do it for less noble means. Ara understands her parents' type of humor, but she doesn't like it. Her usual reaction to their antics is a groan and a facepalm. She's very much a white knight and has a tendency to come to someone's defense even if they don't want her to. This gets her killed...a lot.

Powers: Arabelle's color blindness isn't a fluke; it's actually related to her power. She has the ability to see people's death timers. She can see how long a person's life span is supposed to be. The timer is relative and not set in stone. Those that are immortal (In the sense that they literally cannot die) do not get timers. Those that are functionally immortal or respawn get a timer giving a relative time until their next death. Most of the time, the timer is blue in color. However, the timer can turn red. What this means is one of two things:

- The person is on the last bit of their life span (As noted by ticking timer)
- They are in a situation that can end their lives prematurely (I.E. Someone in the middle of a shootout)

This accounts for situations such as murder, accidents, stupid trick attempts, etc. that could cause someone to die suddenly. She has no way of knowing HOW they will die or if the timer is necessarily accurate. It's liable to be off in its estimate. The real indicator she worries about is the color: blue or red.

Species Abilities: Arabelle inherited her phoenix father's passive. Namely she can respawn. When she dies, she explodes into white essence and then reforms minutes after in the nearest safe spot. She suffers from lethargy each time she dies and requires rest and nutrients afterwards. As for what she can die from...anything. Whatever a normal person can die from, she can too. Even illness can kill her; however, if illness does take her life, she respawns without the illness.

Biography: Years ago, a female lich and male phoenix met up and fell in love. What caused them to fall in love with one another was their dark senses of humor. They found it hilarious to perform lethal pranks on themselves. They also enjoyed things that included morbid jokes. Being that they both had some form of immortality, they chose to kill each other lovingly. Again and again. In increasingly hilarious and ridiculous ways. They held competitions to see who could pull off the best deadly prank. They've each won some. Besides wrecking each other, they went on romantic dates to various locations. They also had a very active sex life.

One that led to them having a kid. Whoops.

That kid was Arabelle. When they found out the news, they decided to finally tie the knot. They married one another in a private chapel (and kissed each other while their bodies were headless, but we're not getting into how that happened) and vowed to be with each other for life. Arabelle was born, and they absolutely adored her. She was born very tiny and pale but was proven to be quite healthy. The parents didn't actually know about Manta Carlos, so they lived in a normal neighborhood with humans. As Ara grew up, various events revealed that she was mostly colorblind. She could only see the colors red and blue.

She started seeing the timers when she was six. Having to watch her parents prank each other like they did made death seem inevitable. Perhaps she would have adapted their sense of humor if it wasn't for the fact that she witnessed a few deaths and red timers outside of her home. She saw that humans were not like her parents, and that for them it was permanent. The death that hit her the most was a classmate falling off of a play set. The impact onto pavement killed the child instantly. Ara was close by, but she could do nothing about the incident. It happened way too fast for her to intervene. This caused her to develop a sense of justice as she tried to save people from possible death.

Her parents birthed a younger sister. The sister in contrast accepted the parents' humor more. Unfortunately she ended up too fascinated by death and mortality and began taking it out on animals. The parents, realizing that the younger child was going too far, chose to lock her within the basement and attempt to teach her not to mess with mortals' lives like that. Her older sister meanwhile found her to be too disturbing for her tastes and thus barely hung out with her. However, it would be Ara that would force the family to move.

One day she was walking off her porch when a bunch of kids were playing ball on the sidewalk. The ball bounced too far and ended up in the street. One boy went into the street without looking both ways. A truck was coming, and the driver did not see the little child. His friends tried to scream out for the boy when they realized what was happening, but it was about to be too late. However, Arabelle noticed before the kids because she saw the boy's red timer. In a sudden heroic effort, she jumped into the street and pushed the kid out of the way. The truck hit her instead and killed her. Adults saw the accident and screamed. The boy's parents ran over to where her dead body was to check on her and the child. Others were crowding the sidewalk trying to see what all of the commotion was about.

Suddenly her body turned into white essence and then reformed. She went from dead to alive in the matter of minutes. People went from calling her a martyr to a monster. They couldn't comprehend what just happened or how it was even possible. The Faust couple witnessed this event at the tail end and frowned. They were in serious trouble now. After that, the family spent hours being harassed by neighbors everywhere wanting to know what they were and how Ara lived. Thankfully the next day a flyer for Starlight Academy came in the mail. They invited Arabelle to become a student at the academy. Ecstatic to find out there was an island of freaks just like them, the parents immediately moved the family to Manta Carlos. Meanwhile Ara found herself both intrigued and reluctant about her new home.
