Leara walked out of the school. The forest had become a favorite place of hers, and being anywhere in it was just a comfort. Slowly, she pulled the hood of her cloak off her head and began to rub her necklace. It glowed, and her two guardians appeared.
"Hi," she mumbled, "sorry I haven't been talking to you lately."
"Don't worry," Zira said. "We understand."
"Yeah, shorty." Seth smiled.
"I'm not that short..." Leara said, smiling only slightly. She sat against a tree, Seth and Zira sitting across from her. Being with them made her feel safe, especially since Selena had just died and no one knew how.
