Dalia giggled a bit. It felt weird, being so casual with another student who wasn't one of her sisters. Between bites of her own sandwich, she shook her head.
"Nah, it's okay. You can call me it if you want. I know what it means now, butt."

A bird landed on the statue at the fountain and peered down at the two of them curiously. Dalia eyed the bird cautiously, but said nothing about it. "Ah, that's super cool! I'll have to tell my sister I met a mermaid. She'll probably flip and want to meet you too."

Dalia looked down at Ravvy's legs. She was reminded again of the New Years party, and those cute black and pink combat boots she had seen another girl wearing one time. "Oh, neat. I just have my spider parts. My mama and sisters can take more human forms. I'm the only one stuck like this all the time."

Ravina glanced up at the bird when Dalia did, but it never occurred to her that it might have been someone.

"Tha sin duilich," Ravina said under her breath. "That sucks! The no human thing. Can't leave the island then? If mam would let me, I would live in the sea again, but she cannot live there."

When Dalia looked down at Ravina's legs, Ravvy looked at Dalia's, considering them. "Theys more useful than a tail 'n most places, at least!"

Ravina didn't know much about the island or other supernatural creatures, but she knew of the Fae. Her mam had told her stories upon stories when they spent their days together. She couldn't pinpoint the magic quite like her mam, could, but she knew the taste of it on her tongue and she tasted it now.

She looked around, trying to find its source.

The bird tilted its head at Ravina and Dalia. The spider had a friend? Well, that was good for her. She had no quarrel with the finfolk, but Dalia...

Swooping down, Argenta transformed mid-flight into a rabbit and barreled directly into Dalia, sending her lunch scattering across the ground. Rolling with the impact, she was up and running before the spider or her new friend could manage to react.

"I mean, if I got a glamour I cou-" Dalia's response was cut off by her lunch hitting the ground as a rabbit slammed into her at high speed. It didn't hurt, but she teared up nonetheless as the creature escaped around the corner of a building.

Dragging her clawed hands down her face, Dalia barely was able to keep her fire under control. "Godsdammit. I hate her so much. Why is she doing this to me?"
It was a question that had poked at Dalia for about a week now. Argenta had more than gotten her back at this point. Why did she keep going? Was it to keep the spiderling in line? Remind her she wasn't as big or bad as she thought?

The question iteself wasn't important right now. Dalia went around, picking up her dirt covered food, hoping something could be salvaged. As she did, she mumbled out an apology to Ravina. "Sorry. That was Argenta. She kind of hates me. I get it if you don't wanna get caught in the middle of it."

Ravina had assumed that this was a regular thing for rabbits to do! She didn't have much experience with land critters, but when Dalia informed her otherwise, Ravina ducked down to help her salvage her lunch.

"Why do ye say she 'ates you?" Ravina asked, grabbing some of her lunch to offer it to Dalia. Ravina could recall quite a few times when her pap had struck out at her mam and her, but he loved them fiercely.

"Maybe ye were eatin' something ya wasn't supposed to?" Which seemed the most logical conclusion to Ravina. "You can share some o' mine."

Ravina felt frustration color her cheeks. She wanted to understand, but this wasn't like the situation with pap and Ravvy hadn't known land people, or people in general, enough to know anything about anything.

[Tom=https://i.imgur.com/tpaLHMt.jpg, #ff9900]Dalia let out a long groan as she stuffed the rest of her food in her lunchbox and closed the lid. "I- I was kind of a bully last semester. I bullied Argenta a lot. And now she's getting back at me."
It hurt to say, but Dalia's pride was already wounded. She felt like there was nothing to lose in this.

Looking at the offered food, Dalia had to stop her nose from wrinkling up. The sandwiches her mama made her were bad enough. Bread was awful. The only thing that made it bearable was the fact that it had human meat in it.
But, she couldn't very well do anything about it. And she was hungry. Dalia didn't think she could last until the afternoon, not with the DSU meeting or her boxing lesson after. So, she hesitantly took the food and took a bite.

It was awful, but Dalia still smiled. She had learned to hide her discomfort with things from hearing Mal talk pretty loudly about her lovers, as well as hiding the issues she was having at school. "It's really good. Thanks." It was a lie, sure. But Dalia didn't have many friends and she didn't want to lose the chance for a new one.[/Tom]

"Oh," was all Ravina could muster in a small tone. She had never dealt with anything like this. Bullies and the bullied. If Ravvy had considered things, she might have realized her relationship with her father contained much of the same. But such an occurrence did not come.

Ravina smiled gently when Dalia took the offering of food. She didn't catch the lie. Having lived among the Fae most of her life and without any added cynism gained through negative experiences, Ravina wasn't good with detecting lies in the least. To her, what was said was the truth.

"What kinda things did'ya do t' 'er? I don' know much about bullyin' 'cause I grew up on'a small island. I didn' know many kids me age." Ravina wondered if she outta ask if there was a thing she could have done, but lessons from her mother had taught her that was not wise.
