A frustrated growl escaped Draven’s clenched teeth as he stared down the wasted and blubbering idiot in front of him that was demanding another drink. It gave him a bad sense of déjàvu and made him wonder if he had been this obnoxious toward Samael when he walked in the other day and the thought of him made Draven stop and think. He promptly turned his back on the customer momentarily, drawing in a deep breath and massaging the bridge of his nose with his thumb and index finger to keep from blowing up at the drunkard.
Since Samael had explained more about this connection that had been accidentally created, he had become more aware of his own feelings, not wanting to put more of a strain on Samael than he already had. It was an odd thing for him; thinking of someone else before himself for a change. Though, having done the same for those he loved once before, it wasn’t too difficult of a task. Actually, it was almost a near constant thought at the forefront of his mind seeing as Samael was as well. Ever since they talked that night, he had a hard time not thinking about him and the more he was around him, the more he was on his mind.
Even though it’s only been a few days since they've met, Draven had decided that he liked this guy and he wanted to get to know him further. He had been wanting to make that known somehow but he wasn’t quite sure how to go about it yet. For as well as he was at winning over strangers, he was at a loss when it came to someone he actually liked and wanted more than a simple booty call from. He wasn’t sure if he should ask him on a date or where to or if the he’d be embarrassed being seen in public with another guy. As sure of himself as he seemed, he was rather self-conscious about this and more hesitant than usual since he didn’t want to wind up screwing it over somehow. Was it too soon to ask? Damn it! Why was he so terrible at this?!
He had almost forgotten he was serving a customer, having been distracted and just noticing the fact that he was now being yelled at again by the blubbering fool. He turned back around and put his attention back on the customer, immediately becoming frustrated with him again. He didn’t know how Samael or any other bar tender for that matter, put up with this kind of shit all the time. Though, somehow that only made Samael even more attractive in his mind. He glanced up from his place, deep blue eyes searching for the earlier mentioned young man, almost as if he were looking for some type of reassurance or help with the customer.
