Chris for as much as he loved shadowed travel knew that it wasn't the best way to get from America to the Island so he had taken a plane. He wasn't sure it was even possible for him to travel that far of a distance and he didn't want to try least he end up in some strange unknown place. It took everything in his power not to go and see his beloved, however four in the morning wasn't the ideal time to show up and surprise someone. He did have manners and he didn't want to disturb his if she was sleeping.
He stopped at the jewelry store to get her a present before tucking it away in his jacket and shadow traveling to the building he knew she would be at. When he arrived he stayed to the shadows and allowed himself to fully enter the room before trying to exit the shadows. It was also a way for him to spy on what was going on, it seemed to be a business deal. He hadn't wanted to ruin her business so he waited. He assumed he had gotten there as the meeting started because the door was being closed and the man was about to speak.
Chris didn't know how he felt about the man, the way he was looking at his Abia but he was sure the man knew not to try anything. His eyes scanned the guards, the space, the number of objects and the room and studied the man's body language. He could tell that the man was planning something and Chris was already coming up with a plan to step in if things seemed to be going south. Not that Abia couldn't handle herself, as his eyes drifted slightly away from the stranger and to his beloved he couldn't help but smile. She was even more breathtaking than when they were younger.
