Wynne was excited.
Today he was moving into the dorms of the Starlight Academy after being re-educated on the islets for the past six months. He had heard today was supposed to be a Fool's Day with pranks but the islet staff had been quite serious when they helped him head to the main island with a congratulatory mood. Once there, he was introduced to what was called a dormitory parent. The woman, whose name was Juhani Cathar, was pleasant enough but a level of exhaustion lingered behind her polite demeanor. The small talk was simple and a good distraction from Wynne's thoughts. He couldn't help but be a bit perturbed at the woman, who had a feline face. She was a humanoid woman with a cat for a head. A very fluffy, furry orange-brown colored cat head. He didn't know how to react to it, in all honesty. He hoped his roommate wouldn't be too big of a shock.
Once at his specific dorm room, Juhani explained how to access his room and the amenities within. There were two bedrooms, one for himself and the other belonging to his roommate. There was a simple kitchenette and living room, complete with basic furniture and dishware to be used as desired. However, what caught Wynnestri's eye was the large stack of neon bright cans stacked in an odd pyramid shape and brightly colored streamers hung on the ceiling. He turned to ask Juhani what the cans were for but she was already sprinting down the hall, yelling at someone to stop running with their overflowing cauldron of... something. The godling shrugged, figuring she would return when she was done. For now, he wanted to get his bearings on his new home.
He examined the living room, eyeing the odd formation of furniture. It was all pushed to one side, leaving a large area open in the middle for... something. A frown formed but he continued around into the kitchenette and opened the refrigerator to see what was within. What he wasn't expecting was a barrage of snakes to come barreling out. Wynne let out a shriek of surprise, summoning his training swords and beginning to wail on the snakes mercilessly until they appeared to no longer move. A quick investigation revealed that they were not real, but springy, brightly colored tubes that only looked like snakes. It was... somewhat humorous. Sort of.
Thoroughly embarrassed, he quickly scooped up the pile of "snakes" and tossed them into the trash receptacle before making his way to the bedroom doors. One was open and empty, most likely meant to be his but the other door was shut tightly with only the sound of a one-sided conversation echoing from within. Also, the flashes of light sparked from under the door. With a deep breath, he tapped the door three times and put on a small smile.
"Hello! I'm Wynne! I'm your... new roommate!" He called, waiting for some sort of response. After a few minutes, no one came out so he assumed that perhaps his roommate didn't hear him. That was fine. The two had plenty of time to get to know one another. He let out a small sigh, trudging into his room and shutting the door. He immediately lay on the bed and drifted into sleep from exhaustion.
