The bonds were secure now, though Yin knew without a doubt that someone like him would likely find a way to escape, if he so wished. While the bonds were secure enough to restrict his movement, they weren't tight or in any way painful. After all, there were a few Celestials who would take offense to even this much action against them. She walked closer, now within arms reach of the man bound by his own shadow. "Truthfully, I don't know which side your on, compared to me. Doubtless you have your reasons, but I tend to avoid such interactions."

Her attention turned to Toki for a moment. If Alistair wanted to attack her, he would have done so by now. "Toki, you yourself should know that apparent age isn't everything. He could be older than he looks, he could be younger." She smiled in amusement at the thought. 'Alistair' was likely older than she was. Turning back to Alistair, her smile stayed on her face. "Now, would you like to answer questions for us, or would you like to see someone a bit more important in the school system?"

Toki looked at the two unamused. Sure he worked for the school, but it was rare for someone to be suspicious of him. It was not like he looked like such a threat and he had often taken that point to his advantage. Not that he did not mind it. "You now the caution towards apparent appearance usually comes with age or experience. Though it looks like it you know slightly more about him than I do."

He remained where he was letting the Yin be the only one close to him. He did not trust that man, but then again Toki did not trust a lot of people. Especially when it looked like the two where having a conversation that involved something he was not aware of. He held up the phone in his hand. "Or we could just skip that whole part and call the authorities. Or even find whom ever those posters belong to since I had never seen the police ever put up such a poster."

"I will be more than thrilled to answer your questions, m'lady. But in return I would enjoy not only my freedom but an explanation as to how this ability of your's works!" He said this with genuine wonderment, as if enthralled by the idea of her ability. Despite the fact she had used it to restrain him, he was clearly amused and excited to see such a power in action. "Specifically, can it be used as a solid object to prevent things such as missile attacks? Can it efficiently be used as a weapon!?" He couldn't move very well but his eyes remained on her shadow tendrils the entire time he blurted out questions in excitement. In a matter of seconds the calm, collected, formal young man turned into a playful child who had just found a new toy. At one point he tried to break one of his arms free, seemingly more to find out if he could rather than actually trying to escape.

When Toki mentioned the authorities and the posters, he paused for a moment and frowned. "You would be correct, sir, that the authorities have nothing to do with those posters. It is the work of a local street gang turned mafioso."

Yin easily suppressed a sigh at Toki's words. Naturally he would be suspicious at her change in attitude, yet she couldn't tell him why. It wasn't that she trusted Alistair more, or that she trusted him. Alistair being a Celestial was just a point of curiosity to the woman. Not that she could actually tell her colleague that, without Alistair saying it himself. After all, what if the man was doing something important? It wouldn't be too pleasant if she ruined something by revealing him. At least Toki didn't seem to be asking a question with that, so Yin's only reply was an easy, casual shrug.

Alistair's sudden enthusiasm over her ability came as more than a bit of a surprise to her, making a corner of her mouth twitch in amusement. It was quite unexpected, given the situation. She couldn't deny that his sudden eager reaction was funny, however. Thinking over the pros and cons for a moment, Yin watched as he tested the bonds around his arms.

The shadows held firm yet painlessly, though they stretched a bit and allowed some slight mobility. Deciding that getting some answers was worth giving some of her own, Yin nodded thoughtfully. His bonds seemed to melt, flowing off his arms like a cloud to form into a haze around his feet that was no more corporeal than a dream.

"In a word, yes to both your questions. For the most part, they'll react however I want them too, and that includes solidity and shaping. Often it doesn't pay to get too complex but the shadows are versatile enough to halt and deliver attacks." While Yin was contemplating what to ask Alistair, Toki piped up again. Alistair's willingness, lack of violence and curiosity about her abilities had almost made her forget that he was accused of burglary and assault.

Frowning, the hybrid listened to both of the men speak. "Aren't you curious as to why he risked coming here, Toki?" Even as she asked that, her attitude had shifted a bit. Less inclined to follow along with Alistair's enthusiasm now, Yin was feeling a bit more serious. Despite the multitude of questions she wished to ask, some were more important than others.

"Alistair, what was so important here that you risked getting caught like this? How honest are those allegations against you, and how interested would the authorities be, besides the fact that you came here when you shouldn't have?"

Toki had said nothing when Yin just shrugged at his comment. He knew that the two knew something that he did not know, but he did not care about finding out what it was. Everyone had their secrets and right now was not the time to pry into them. And it looked like the two of them did not want to talk about it. He just did not like sudden changes in attitude. He thought it was was more amusing how Alistair reacted to being wrapped up in shadows. He had not expected some to act like that, but that was mostly due to the fact that he hated being restrained by anything.

When Yin asked him about being interested in learning why Alistair was here he paused. He was not sure why he had even taken this turn, and the longer he was here the larger the chances that someone that had snuck out of their room finding his stash. But he had to admit he was slightly interested, just because of the fact that he had done something to the computer just to make sure that no one could see what he had been doing. However he was not going to publicly admit it. "No really. I was just trying to find where I had left my snacks. Finding you to was just a coincidence."

He stood there looking at the two as Yin asked her question. He looked at Yin. "If they were really serious and the authorities were really after him than shouldn't we as staff been told that we should be on the look out for him. Unless we were told and I was not listening." He did not remember being told anything regarding this, but then again he tended to listen to anything people said to him when he was eating his treats.

He wondered just what had brought a Celestial being such as Yin to this world. She seemed different than most of his kind somehow. Not 'different' in reference to her lineage, but more so in terms of her preferred surroundings. He could tell from not only her appearance, but from what little he had learned of her personality that she likely had been here for a while. If not longer than 'a while'. It mattered not to him, however - although he had to admit curiosity. As long as she didn't cause an excessive amount of trouble he saw no reason to intervene with her presence, it was irrelevant to his mission.

For a short moment he appeared to have not heard her questions. He knelt down to observe the fading shadow entity more closely with amazed eyes. It was not long after that he apparently realized he was being spoken to, as he stood up with an apologetic look. "Oh, apologies. m'lady. I meant not to ignore your inquiries. Your friend Toki here brings up a good point, however. Much of the upper echelon of the island's security - including the school - seem rather confused and unsure of how to act regarding recent situations. The law officers see no reason to seek out and confront me, despite my many trespasses on school grounds. This is because they know the ones spreading word about my actions are ones who are most untrustworthy, and they are more than aware of my constant unpleasant dealings with them. Thus, it is my inference that they prefer to focus on the bigger threats - such as the recent gang violence - instead of the petty allegations that have nothing but rumors to be provided as evidence. In addition, out of the many times I have been caught the students and faculty of the school have never been able to successfully restrain me. You would be the first to have succeeded, m'lady, had you not released me. You may indeed have lost your only chance, for I know perfectly well what to expect from you." He smiled as if to imply lightheartedness.

He paused for but a moment, looking over both Toki and Yin as if he was thinking about what to say next. "I was looking through the school's database for any information it may have on the island's history. Specifically, long forgotten or perhaps top-secret files that have been hidden away for quite some time. It is entirely possible such files would not be stored on a database - but it was a nice easy start regardless. If such files are kept in physical form, I am afraid the combination of not only finding the location but reaching it as well could perhaps be too difficult of a task for me." Not to mention it was probably locked away or something, which would require a key (or several) that was surely in a completely different area. "As for why such information is important.. well, it may or may not be. That is the reason behind me looking in the first place." He shrugged.
