Lucas was sitting on the slanted part if what he was sure was either a roof or a window. He wasn't exactly sure and his thoughts were distracting him from investigating any further. The elections had gotten him way out and social than he had originally expected. If he was being honest he felt relieved that he was alone.
He had wanted to prove to himself and others that he could go through with this. His mother had laughed, even if it hadn't been rude laughter, at the idea of him speaking publically. He was the shy kid that doodled in his notebook while the world passed him by. That's not what he wanted, he wanted so much more. Being on the island had showed Lucas he wanted so much more than just observing and drawing. He wanted it all the parties, the fun, the laughs, the unsureness if being a teenager. It was just a lot to take in. He wondered if being out in the open and experiencing things for once had opened the flood gates.
He took a bite out if his lunch, as he stared down at the people walking around campus. He needed to change, but he wasn't exactly sure how. He was so deeply hurried inside His mind that he wasn't sure how to unburry himself.
He noticed the footsteps a bit to late, the person was already in front of him before he could blink. "Hello"
