An older sister, how exciting! She wasn't a harpy, but Val didn't think that that would have been the case since all the harpies she knew where back home and she never really heard about them outside. But hearing that her older sister would like her was all she needed to hear.

Having her father pat her head made her giggle without knowing why. Perhaps it was because she was trying so hard not to break whatever form of composure she manage to tie together. As much as she wanted to just be free to act like what she truly felt, she didn't want to scare him away.

Valerie happily followed her father out of the alleyway, sticking to his side just far enough away so that her wings wouldn't be in the way. At the mention of food, Val shook her head. "It's okay, I already ate." That was a couple of hours ago, but she was still sated enough. "I just want to spend some time with you."

Finally after what seemed like hours, Tucker smiled. Not quite a grin but it was definitely something more than the tight-lipped smiles he'd given her. " It's still early. I suppose we can walk around town for while, maybe you'll find something you'd like," he nodded. He still had misgivings of course, but he'd be lying if his curiosity (and some amount of guilt) wasn't trying to catch his attention.

Tucker could almost hear a tiny little voice in his head saying Now that wasn't so bad, was it?. It wasn't, it really wasn't. Valerie was calmer now, he could probably brush off the earlier behavior from the excitement. He didn't think he could blame her, but he did also wonder why wasn't she upset with him at all. He left both her and her mother with no reason and considering she didn't mention him to their daughter until she herself dug around, Valencia didn't take it very well. Questions for a later time, perhaps.

For now, they can just spend the afternoon without any such topics.
