An older sister, how exciting! She wasn't a harpy, but Val didn't think that that would have been the case since all the harpies she knew where back home and she never really heard about them outside. But hearing that her older sister would like her was all she needed to hear.
Having her father pat her head made her giggle without knowing why. Perhaps it was because she was trying so hard not to break whatever form of composure she manage to tie together. As much as she wanted to just be free to act like what she truly felt, she didn't want to scare him away.
