"Oh I bet you'd love that, wouldn't you? You almost got a show when you summoned me, you know. I have to put on the robes and the crown... sometimes I don't bother. You knocked just as I was drying off from a shower."

Caissa grinned and moved back over to sit down in the seat that Tilly had taken earlier, crossing her leg over her opposite knee, steepling her fingers together. But this was all going well. She could sense the disappointment that Tilly had for their little quest not being epic or adventurous. But that wasn't really her concern. Caissa wanted the straightest path to her goals, and to do that she needed to spread her info gathering ability out a lot more.

"That said, I know a good place we can at least start with our material gathering. I do the accounting for - and fuck on the regular - the owner of a bar lounge here in the city. He's got money, and I'm sure I could... convince him to front us some money."

She paused, pursing her lips as she went through what information she knew about Tilly. "Damn. Can't drink. That's a fucking shame."

Tilly suddenly found the notebook Caissa had passed her incredibly interesting. Despite her eidetic memory, she really wanted to make sure she’d memorized the spell extra well. Yup. That was it. She stood up when it became apparent that she was going to be able to breathe again without Caissa forcing her up against the wall or something, pacing while she looked down at the inscription of the sigil that she ad drawn. She sketched idly beside it, drawing a potential diagram of the new circle for reference.
”-Just get me some lingerie that won’t burn up. Enchanting it is gonna take ages and I’d hate to see it-” She coughed ”-go to waste.”

She didn’t look terribly surprised when Caissa mentioned she had a benefactor. She kinda figured, based on what she’d implied, that she was into some kinda elicit business. A club was at least something ethical. She could deal with that.
”Oh, cool, you have a sugar daddy.” She said, a little bit of iron slipping into her voice. Why did she suddenly feel jealous? Gross, Tilly.

”Just don’t make me help convince him.” She added, warily. There were a great many things she’d do for power and renown, but that was not one of them. ”Unless you want me to try the spell you just taught me.” She added, mischievously.

"Oh trust me sweetheart, I think he'd be about as uninterested in you as I know you are with him. But I know how to scratch my puppy to get him to kick his leg; just don't look under the table while we're talking to him." Caissa grinned and picked at one of her fingernails, then pulled out a file to round out the edges of one of them and bring it back in line with the rest.

"He's a werewolf," she clarified, still inspecting and touching up her fingernails as she talked. "Just to warn you. Try not to be too freaked out around him - I don't want him leveraging you against me."

"But if the lingerie will be a problem, we could always go with something sturdier. I guess a crown would be alright, if you want to go looking for one. Just nothing too gaudy. I like nice things, but I don't have Daddy's flair for the ostentatious."

Caissa's euphamism was a bit too vulgar for Tilly's rather conservative sensibilities, a phrase which probably could have been used as a caption for her entire night.

"Gross." She said, unamused. It was the bit about not looking under the table that finally drew the reaction out of her.

She sat up a little straighter when Caissa warned her about his being a werewolf. "Freaked out?" She grumbled, annoyed. "If there's one thing you should know about me right now, it's that I'm way too dumb to know better. I've faced down things way scarier than your furry sugar daddy, and i never blink."

She was only exagerating a little bit. She was scared most of the time when she did those things, but she was very good at hiding it. There were only two people on this island that Tilly feared, and one of them was in the room with her. She didn't mention that part.

"I'll figure something out for you. Something that's you, but maybe not so distracting."

Caissa snickered. She'd finally found the line with Tilly, and she knew how to cross it if needed. She definitely wouldn't be messing with Malakias under the table at whatever meeting they had. She needed something to tempt him with after all.

"Cosmic horrors don't compare, trust me. He's got this intensity that just... panty status: Genesis seven seventeen. But with that in mind, I'm going to need you to get smarter. Learn your own limits. I know mine, which is why I know what boundaries I can push," Caissa lied right out of her ass without a blink or a breath out of place. She absolutely was trying to absorb a power field bigger than her head, but she didn't need to tell anyone else that.

"If you're going to work with me, you need to get pragmatic and fast. I don't have time to be holding your tits all day so you don't have to learn how to put on a bra. Got it?" Caissa raised an eyebrow, shockingly the most serious she'd been throughout the entire conversation despite the crass metaphor.

Gross! She cringed, hands clapping over her eyes as if to wipe away the mental image. She was doing it on purpose to get a reaction out of Tilly, and she knew it, but it was working nonetheless. She’d been about to say something smart in retort when Caissa suddenly got serious. She demanded Tilly get smarter, which she probably would have taken offense to if she hadn’t just called herself too dumb to know better.

”Wow, serious Caissa is… kinda hot.” She blinked, a little shocked by the sudden change in demeanor. ”What was that disgusting thing you said, Panty level: Genesis?" She snarked, a defiant glint in her eye. ”It’s rich coming from Miss ‘I don’t fear death,’ but I get what you mean. Playing fast and loose is what pissed you off with me, after all. I'll be nice to your sugar daddy, I promise.” She shrugged, admitting at least some small fault of her own. ”-Although that ended pretty well for me, all things considered.” She added, more quietly.

”Okay. So we’ll go meet rescue pup about money for the circle, I’ll enchant you… something, I dunno, and we’ll have to figure out our power source.” She listed off, counting on her fingers. ”Is there anything else on our to-do list I’m forgetting?” She asked. She could have searched her library, but for something so small, it wasn’t worth the effort.

"Genesis seven seventeen. So you like serious huh?" Caissa raised an eyebrow and put her nail file away. "You want me to put on glasses and smack your hand with a ruler when you're bad?"

She didn't snort or grin this time, opting to keep herself mostly stone faced. But it seemed like they had at least a basis to work off of. "We'll need to figure out what kind of conduit to use. A person is probably the best bet, they tend to have the most raw magical potential. Or maybe a Vynix. Supposedly they're some kind of psychic, so may e we can work with that. There's some in the stables here that we could maybe borrow. I dunno, we'll have to research."

Her face was beet red, but at least this time she wasn’t stammering like a fool. She was kinda getting used to the way Caissa acted. This time, though, she was deadpan as could be, her expression a brick wall. She couldn’t tell if she was serious or if she was about to get a book thrown at her or something. Impulsively, she hummed a bar or two of a Van Halen song under her breath, the one about the teacher, just to test her.

Okay, okay, serious face, Tilly. She sat down on the coffee table adjacent to Caissa, fiddling idly with one of the rods that had been resting there in a cup.
”A Vynix?” She asked. ”What is that, some kinda psychic horse?” She hadn’t heard the term before, but she could deduce roughly what it was from its location, the stables.

”I feel a little uncomfortable using something living as a conduit, mostly because I’m afraid the ritual could kill them too. If you think your Vynix is our best bet, we can start there.”

"We'll break you of that eventually, love. You want to know all about magic, you're gonna have to get your hands at least a little dirty."

Caissa licked her lips and pulled out her phone to text Malakias, letting her know that she and a friend needed to meet with him soon.

"Anything else I can do for you while we're here, or can I go? I'll text you once I know when and where he wants to meet."

Tilly flinched away instinctively at the sight of the phone.
”You need to be more careful with stuff like that around me.” She said, pointing towards it. ”Usually I only fry cell phones when I sling spells, but it can happen any time. I don’t really have control over it. Your eye might get roasted too, if you aren’t careful.” Her intent wasn’t really to lecture, though it sort of sounded like it. She’d had plenty of people take the risk around her only to find that their 800 dollar eyephone sixteen or whatever they called it had been turned into a paperweight, and then blamed her for it.

”Uh, yeah. Let me know whenever you’re ready, I guess. To use the bracelet, you just have to-” She started to explain the communication bracelet to Caissa, but realized that it was futile. She already probably knew. ”Oh, yeah. Oops.” She mumbled. For someone with perfect recall ability, she sure could be forgetful.

”It’s… It’s good to be working with you, Caissa. I’m glad things worked out the way they did.” She’d say, smiling softly. She still had no small amount of guilt for the pain she’d caused her, and while she wasn’t under any delusions that Caissa was not a megalomaniacal demon, that didn’t make the things she’d done to her right.
