Mike sighed "Welll remeber the war I mentioned? Yea. It was against an alliance of aliens. Bastards killed almost everyone I knew. I hated the ever since. Knowing people you'll likely disbelieve me. Well this is a weird world we live in." Mike frowned and stretched. He hated extraterrestrials. Maybe he could learn to like them someday but currently, he wished they were alone in the universe.

Caroline stopped drawing for a second thinking of something.
'... Those dirty bastards, could they have...?!' She slammed down the pen angrily.
"They did it! Those idiots killed me in vengeance! That makes sense. They wanted you to suffer so they killed me brutally. But..." She started laughing hysterically. "How immature! Did they even think about who they were dealing with?"

When she calmed down, Caroline ripped up the paper she held in her hands. She stood up and went to the garbage can to dispose of the paper and there she noticed a medium-sized iron storage box next to it. She crouched to inspect it and it seemed to be locked. "What's inside darling? May I open it?"

Mike walked to where she was and looked at the lock box. Trying to figure out what was in it. After a few minutes he quickly realized. "No no no no no no no. No. I would prefer if you wouldn't. That is a....little modification I've been working on for my arm. It is highly leathal in the state it is currently in. So I keep it in a lock box untill it reaches a stable state to work in.....which is normally once a month, I worked on it a few days ago so it won't be ready for a while.

Caroline tilted her head and pouted. "Hmmm.. Okay... I'll wait then." She poked the box a few times before she leaned back and lay down on the floor stretching her limbs... She just stared at the ceiling silently for some time, thinking about her circumstances.

"I... don't want to be a burden to you... I wanna learn to fix things like you and I wanna help you!" She was serious.
"I have no past, so I can't go on being my old self. Honestly I don't even care about it anymore. Just having you and this new body seems like a good start for bright future..."

Mike looked at her for a second. He didn't know what to say. He simply sighed and knelt down to the lockbox. "If you really want to help me...I guess you need to know what's really in the lockbox. It's called a Nexus. Think of it as.....a solid form of magic. I plan on creating a company to infuse magic and technology. I guess you can help me with everything from now on." As the locked clicked Mike removed the lock and slowly opened the box. As the item inside came to view, it gave of a violet light. Mike took the object and showed it to Caroline. It was a violet crystal nearly the size of his palm. "I don't like letting people know about it because this thing is my only lead on infusing magic into technology. If something were to happen to it I would lose my mind."

Caroline raised up in a blink when he mentioned Nexus. She crawled to him slowly not losing the sight of the luminous thing he held in his hands. She leaned towards it very carefully and gazed upon it amazed.
"This thing's wonderful..." She even whispered trying to avoid anything that could possibly endanger the crystal.
"Don't worry, Carrie will protect Shiny Nex with her life!" She expressed determination and excitement about being his assistant in her own silly way.

Mike smiled "This thing is still dangerous though. I have no idea what it is truly capable of. It just sometimes gives off these magical waves of....magic. I don't even know if those waves do anything, really I only think their purpose is being annoying to listen to and watch." Mike carefully put the crystal back in its box and re locked it. He turned back to Caroline. "Is there anything you want to do? I don't have anything planned today so I'm free."

Caroline waved to Shiny Nex before Mike closed the box.
When Mike asked her what she'd like to do, she reconsidered the idea of having a date.
"Well, I wanted to do things with Mike but you said I can't strain my body, so I don't know if we could still try... I mean, I might be okay. But, but it's embarrassing to say..." She played with her hair childishly and her face was bright red.
"...a date..." She mumbled finally.

Mike was actually...stunned. He was asked on a date???? That......was surprising to Mike, Osiris, and Seth. The AI's were so stunned they were silent. Mike tried to find the words he was looking for. "A-A date? Uh.....um........okay..........where would you want to go for this date?" Mike are you serious?!? Your just agreeing to a date with a person you just met?! Sure you technically built her but still! Mike frowned "Osiris, for a know it all you sure don't know when to shut up. This date is happening, no matter how much you or your twin disagree with it."

'Eh? He is so weird, why would a guy of his age be so shy about it?' She chuckled thinking he was cute.
"First I'd like to go for a walk downtown, and then go to some cafe or confectionery, and then..." She was just answering when she heard Mike talk to Osiris.
'Wha..?!'
"Who's even asked whether you agree or not, you impudent bugs?" She breathed heavily having a creepy grin on her face. "As if you could stop us! Ha!"
