Erasthai, for the first time after so long, had been careless. It was a simple slip, he wasn't even rushing for anything today, but he forgot his glasses in his room, right there on his bedside table. That was the risk of wearing glasses when you don't really need it for your vision. Sometimes, it's hard to notice when you have the glasses or not. This time, Erasthai didn't.

He noticed it after setting foot outside the dormitory. There were more people, more pairs of eyes around him, and he became aware of them only after he's left school grounds.

Well shit.

Those eyes gave him a look so familiar that it scared him. He stopped walking in the middle of the pavement, and reached up to the bridge of his nose. The glasses weren't there. His heart suddenly started to jump and skip and race, and everything else inside his body started to follow its rhythm. Anxiously, his eyes darted around, and they'd meet others that looked at him with such unnatural desire. He'd go back to the dorm, if only he didn't usually attract stalkers in this kind of situation. But since he does, there was no way he could let anyone find out where he lived.

He straightened his back and resumed walking towards downtown. He acted as cool and composed as usual, even though his heart was beating a mile per minute at the moment. That stopped when a group of girls practically blocked his way just so they could talk to him.

"Um... Hi," it started with such a simple greeting, and with him being recklessly kind towards a stranger again. He was only being nice when he decided to talk to them, but when he said he had to go, the girls insisted to go with him. And then their numbers rapidly increased...

Until Erasthai found himself running for his life.

"This is ridiculous..!" Erasthai made a turn. By this time, his shirt was already losing a few buttons, and he didn't care anymore what his hair looked like.

Another turn. The girls have caught up, squealing as some of them grabbed him. "Stop this nonsense, girls... Wh-whoa!" And it was like drowning in the sea as they all gathered, wanting a share of him. He was going to die, he just knew it.

Erasthai flinched. He wasn't very familiar with the sound of a gunshot, but he just knew it was one. And he was thankful for it, sighing in relief instead of panicking by being "caught" by an officer with a badge. He smiled for the save, and showed his gratefulness with a gentle "Thank you," before fixing himself. There's no way he'd be able to fix his buttons now though. He'd have to go back to the dorm for that. But he was still too afraid of leading possible stalkers back to where he stays. He can't go home. Not while people knew he was there.

"I... Uh... Officer, I swear it's not a harem thing," he said. He refused to look at the detective by the eyes, afraid that even the scary man might get lured by his "powers" once they have eye contact. He busied himself with his wrecked shirt, trying to figure out how he could hide his toned body because, well, it looked damn perfect and he didn't want people to be even more attracted to him because of that. "I didn't willingly get in that crowd, it's just that..." He fixed his glasses on his nose out of habit, only to realize, oh right they're not there. "...it happens all the time..."

"I need my glasses..." Eros wasn't complaining, nor was he going to protest. He respected the badge and recognized the detective's authority, and really he was okay, because he knew he wasn't guilty with anything, aside from the fact that he left his glasses in his room.

He sighed as well, and walked to the car obediently. Looks like this officer wasn't affected by his powers. That's good. He entered the car, oddly comfortable in his seat. His only discomfort was from his ruined shirt, but he eventually didn't mind just letting it be.

"Sir, will you take me to jail? Because I seriously need to get my glasses. Without them..." He bit his lower lip nervously and looked out the window. Now there's a scary thought. Without them I'll get raped in jail... "I'm a wreck without them."

"Haha, Cabao, Cubao... Ah, I should shut up." Eros was looking outside. His arms were crossed over his chest, and his sitting posture showed that he wasn't all that tensed.

"Look, I dunno how legal stuff goes here, okay? At least not yet. But... whatever, I'm not really protesting or anything." His fingers went to the bridge of his nose again, but he quickly pulled away remembering he didn't have his glasses. Oh, his glasses. He can't help but be nervous about everything without it. Paranoid. It's been his shield from himself ever since his friend gave it to him. He sighed.

"But yeah, I need my glasses... They're... They're not normal glasses, they're enchanted. They protect me from... from stuff like what you saw just now. I'm actually relieved you're kinda brash, I don't have to worry turning you into... well, nevermind." He turned to the detective then, eyes narrowed in a serious manner. "Can't I get them first? Where are you taking me anyway? You know, if not to jail."

Eros lightly scratched his left cheek with a finger. "Well sorry if I don't understand. There's first time for everything, this is the first time I had to know how it works."

He went back to looking out of the window when the detective finally said fine. Hearing that he only had to stay put for one hour somewhat made him want to shrug it off, but he didn't feel like he should say that now that he got a yes. "Dorm," he answered. "Seriously though, one hour? You might as well let me slip when we get my glasses, that's... useless don't you think so?"

Eros straightened up his back at the mention of murder. "Murder..?" he muttered, looking around outside. He just got here so he had no idea. "Well, I guess it's not normal for you, but hey, don't expect me to be normal, we're in Manta Carlos. I'm here to practice controlling my powers. That's... That's just my power out of control since ever." He looked at the detective and shrugged smiling softly. Despite the man's brashness, he didn't find himself irritated or intimidated. He didn't mind either if the detective is exasperated with him. "I guess I'll stay put for you, detective. No need to get my glasses. Sorry about that."

Eros waved his left hand to dismiss the topic. "If you say so." He was starting to have a hard time keeping his cool. He wasn't getting angry yet but this detective was probably a little too hot-headed and Eros was ready to admit that he didn't know how to handle this type of person really well, other than giving him a silent treatment.

That won't really work though, would it? He curved his lips up briefly, no he wasn't going to call it a smile, and nodded at the detective's question. "Yeah. I'm new though. Got here a couple of days ago," he answered. "You sound like you aren't one. Aren't most people here in the island... 'special'? How about you?"

Eros offered a casual hum as he tilted his head briefly, somewhat like a replacement for a shrug, as he found out that the detective was a normal human. With more-than-normal aura of brashness surrounding him.

But, considering he was sent here for such a thing... "That means you're pretty special, aren't you? For them to think you can handle this job." He was trying to give a compliment, he was not sure if it was working. The detective's driving was a little nerve-racking, but seeing that they were headed to the academy gave him relief.

Which was quickly washed away by the sudden question. "What?" Eros looked at him, his eyes slightly wide with nervousness. "No, nothing special. I..." he wasn't proud of it, but he wasn't secretive either. "...I just seduce people unintentionally. I'm... kinda like the Greek God Eros' descendant, uh... I hate my powers, to be honest. That's why I need my glasses, to suppress it," he explained slowly. "I was actually really surprised when you didn't seem affected."

The detective laughed, and honestly, Eros saw how it could be funny. It tended to be funny, especially to the people who hasn't lived his life. He shrugged.

The car stopped eventually. By then, they were already in front of the academy, and Eros shot the detective a curious look. "I'm free? All right then." He didn't waste another second before opening the door and stepping out. And then he turned around.

He was curious about the murder, he wanted to ask, but nothing much came out of his lips. Just, "Thanks, detective. Sorry I haven't caught your name."
