Ambrosia ‘Amber’ Amazonius Ashford
20 | 15[sup]th[/sup] Aug | Female | Demigod | Teacher of Art Journaling
Appearance
Amber is a beautiful girl, a carbon copy of her mother’s looks. She has soft, pink lips, which is most of the times painted maroon with matte lipstick. Her shoulder length naturally magenta locks are usually done in an elegant updo, as in the picture above. She have light blue shaded eyes, same as her father, Apollo’s. Her skin is beige colored with light pink freckles, which is always hidden because of her daily make-up routine.
When it comes to fashion, Amber is unique. She likes mere ancient and old-fashioned dresses, and that’s what she wears in different shades of purple. She’s dressed in more like genie-out-of-lamp-ish costumes, purple equivalent of Princess Jasmine’s outfit or clothes more like these. However, she do wear plum colored tops with beige pants on weekends, with violet high heels and mulberry bangles, sometimes with orchid or amethyst earrings, too.
She believes everyone’s styles are different, and never ever judges anyone because of their strange appearance, gothic clothing or weird color match.
Her eyes hold more of innocence than most of other maidens’ like her, with cute face and soft words. She had twinkling warmth in her light eyes, and when she tells you everything’s gonna be okay, you look in her sincere eyes and believe it almost instantly.
Amber have a faint European accent, with more traces of Romanian accent, despite the fact that she lived in Melbourne of Australia most of her life. When she talks, she speaks softly but louder enough, since she teaches a class and makes sure the ones who are seated in back are able to hear her.
Personality
Before we begin with a detailed list of Amber’s personality, I’d like to state a little bit more about Amber’s name. Her name is Ambrosia, a Greek word for the food of Greek gods. Amazonous comes from Amazonius, which is a respective name for Apollo the Greek god, also an Olympian (meaning he’s from the Olympus Palace, not that he’s taken a part in Olympics games).
One more thing: from the sixteen known personalities, Amber goes in ISFP.
Artistic. Being a daughter of Apollo comes with some advantages. Amber is very good at art, and her art work is brilliant. She just dips her paintbrush in acrylic paints and swipe on the canvas, and there you go – a brilliant background for art journaling is ready.
Creative. Now, this creative is different from artistic. Yeah, she’s good at art and all that stuff, but she’s creative as well. When it comes to lesson plans, she creates quite explaining ones, and she writes up worksheets for her students herself, too. When there’s a problem, she comes up with good solutions, and then choose the one which is most appropriate. See how I’m trying to differ artistic from creative in Amber’s case?
Obsessive. Well, yeah. Amber is obsessed with quite things. Color purple, for example. If the color is lavender, plum, raisin, periwinkle, magenta, jam, grape, heather, violet, amethyst, orchid, mauve, sangria, iris, mulberry or whatever shade, Amber is obsessed with it as long as it’s a shade of purple.
Observant. Amber is a very observant girl. She’s done a whole lot of people and object watching, which had earned her more quality in her artworks.
Optimistic. It’s going to be alright, for all Amber knows. No problem lasts more than a century *fake coughs*
Encouraging. That’s what makes Amber a great teacher. If one of her students come to her and tell her how bad his/her work is, she’d point out from his/her work what s/he have done right, and that this is the first step in succession.
Imaginative. Amber can make up good stories, and when she wants to spend time quickly, she sits on a comfortable armchair with a mug of hot coffee and starts day-dreaming.
Unorganized. If you want to go to Amber’s room, be sure to expect a whole lot of mess, papers here and there, books scattered on the floor. The only thing which is put in shelf neatly (or not so neatly) is her artwork supplies.
Thin skin. Taking criticism is hard, so the world tells you to build up a thick skin, but unfortunately that’s not the case for her. She has a pretty thin skin, and takes insults badly.
Lazy. Now, she’s not sorry-i-can’t-move-from-my-bed lazy, but rather i-can’t-clean-my-room-because-i-have-other-works lazy.
Impatient. Who can spend time waiting till the driver delivers your art supplies safely?
Fussy. I’ll tell you one thing. If there’s a big problem coming, go to other professors and teachers, but not Amber. Even though most of the time she’s no-problem-lasts-more-than-a-century girl, but when she sees big problems coming up, she literally fusses a lot. What if the pirates rob us? What if the pirates kill us?
Powers
Amber is born without any supernatural powers, except the ability to see magical people and cross the magical islands of Manta Carlos. She can also feel magic, and she feels like the air around is thick when she feels that there's magic in this place. Nothing more or less. If there's any magical people going around in normal world disguised as normal, Amber will not be able to know that they're magical. People who are extraordinary do have an aura of magic to them, but Amber will feel it only if she get close enough.
Basically, it's like she can't do anything, but she's just a daughter of Apollo, that's why she's at Manta Carlos Island.
Background
Amber’s life is rather simple. She was born in Melbourne, Australia, to a Roman mother called Amberella and the father Apollo, Greek Olympian god of music, poetry, art, oracles, archery, plague, medicine, sun, light and knowledge.
She was the youngest in her family, the second youngest being her one year elder brother Jace (pronounced as Jay-see). They lived a normal life, Apollo pretending he’s a mortal businessman Apollo Ashford (Ashford was the surname of Amberella, Amber’s mother, and Apollo took the surname to be hidden here). Apollo had changed his appearance, turning his eyes green and hair blonde to be disguised as a regular mortal man.
Amber grew up believing she was a normal girl, nothing special. But that was proved wrong when she turned eight. Zeus, the lord of all gods, had noticed that Apollo was spending less and less time in his given duties, and he most of the time was not in Mount Olympus like he used to ten years back. He also noticed that his powers were getting weaker, probably because he was turning in a mortal man and losing his god-ness. After further investigation, Zeus discovered that Apollo had married a mortal woman and had two kids with her, and that was why he was turning in a human. Immediately, he ordered Apollo not to meet his wife and children again, and to leave that house and come back to Mount Olympus.
Leaving with no other option, Apollo bid farewell to his wife and children, and asked Amberella to tell his children the truth about themselves (Amberella had known it even before their marriage).
That time, Amber had came to know that she was different than other people – she was a half-god. Unlike her, her brother Jace was capable of making music to make people sleep or manipulate their mind, which was a real magical power and not some artistic personality trait Amber got from her father.
Because of so many requests and promises, Zeus finally allowed Apollo to take one of his kids to train to become a hero, and a few more days for to spend with his mortal family. Apollo wanted to take Amber and train her, but since she was young at age and her mother wasn’t happy about the fact that her powerless daughter will leave her forever rather than her son who had magical abilities, Apollo took Jace with him to train him.
Apollo took his wife and daughter and crossed the Bermuda Triangle and took them to Manta Carlos Island, knowing that they’ll be safe her, and he will have chances to meet them if he could.
So since then, Amber and her mother lived in a one-storey house in Manta Carlos Island. Amberella homeschooled Amber, and when Amber was 17, she went back to mortal world to have some artistic education of higher level. She spent her two years enhancing her art abilities at Dove Art Academy of Sydney, Australia, and came back at the age of nineteen. She found a job at a café and did part-time art journaling tutorials at Youtube, while living with her mother in their home at Manta Carlos Island, until she was twenty when her mother advised her to teach art journaling at Starlight Academy.
So she enrolled for teaching, and, fortunately, got a place.

Weaknesses
Amber was born with ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder) because her body is made for battle reflexes, and the reason for that is this girl’s father is a Greek god, and demigods are born to become heroes.
Her ADHD includes:
Often squirms, fidgets, or bounces when sitting
Doesn't stay seated
Has trouble playing quietly
Restlessness (for the exception when it comes to cleaning rooms)
Has trouble waiting for her turn
Blurts out answers
Interrupts others
Chronic boredom
