Evelynn inspected the drawing that Nessie had sketched: it was very good. It seemed like Nessie was quite a good artist. Surely the drawing wasn't what she thought it was. She looked up at Nessie and back at the drawing. Then it clicked. Nessie. "Are you the Loch Ness Monster?" she asked, surprised and intrigued.

If she was the Loch Ness Monster then that would explain why no one has sighted it in years but it would also mean that the girl was older than she looked. a lot older. Hypnosis was a pretty cool power to have too. The ability to control other people. It seemed like something to be desired, though it made her a little wary of the girl.

Nessie gave a light giggle at the girl's response and shook her head, writing down There are a few of us, but yes. She wasn't the only one of her kind. Her parents, too, were fae whose true forms were similar to hers. They were all shy creatures, and tended to avoid being seen in the human world. Now that Nessie was here, though, she wasn't quite as in danger when she took her true form, since there were monsters everywhere on this island.

What about you? Nessie wrote, holding up the notebook once again.

It intrigued Evelynn that there was more than one Loch Ness Monster. Definately note worthy. As she scribbled, Nessie seemed to begin writing something else. The pair would look strange to any onlookers, both standing infront of each other, jotting down in a notebook each.

"I have telekinesis, pyrokinesis and hopefully telepathy soon," she hoped. She would get into how pyrokinesis should actually be called telepyrosis but was made common by Stephen King but somehow, she fealt like Nessie wouldn't be interested. "My mother had telepathy which is a power I would really like. Like my father says, 'there is still time'".

Nessie listened and nodded. Those were interesting gifts. She glanced briefly out at the sea, the tide lapping around her ankles as she stood at the shore with Evelynn. It was peaceful here, it would probably be a bit more peaceful without all of the people, especially the shrieking children who were still playing nearby.

She considered for a moment and then wrote, You are close to your parents? She hadn't seen her parents in a long time, personally.

"My mother died giving birth to me so I never knew her." There was no point being euphemistic about it, it left no questions. She did love her father but she wanted to be out in the world on her own, not following the rules he had set. "My father and I are very close. He home schooled me for many years so it was just me and him."

"Are your parents on the island? Are you close with them?" she interrogated. This girl was far more interesting than Evelynn had first thought and she wanted to find out more about her. "How old are you exactly?" The questions kept on coming, like they always did. Her father suggested that she should become an interrogator for all the the questions she tortures people with.

So her mother had passed away. How sad. Though the girl didn't seem too down about it, at least it wasn't as though the woman had passed when she was at an old enough age to have memories to mourn her. It was nice that she was close to her father, at least.

When Evelynn asked about Nessie's parents, the ginger shook her head. Her parents were neither on the island nor close to her. She honestly had no idea where they were now, if they were even alive or not. She'd never been terribly close to her family, not since she was old enough to live by herself.

Nessie usually replied with "old" whenever someone asked her how old she was, but the girl had used a specific word that meant she had to give a direct answer. "Exactly". Darn. Nessie wrote out the numbers on her notebook and presented them: 103.

"I'm sorry." It was sad that such a nice girl was alnone in a new place and not in touch with her parents. As much as she wanted to be away from her father, she wouldn't be able to cope without him. She had no idea how the girl must be feeling.

As for her age, that surprised her. Living for a hundred and three years meant that she must have seen the world around her change drastically. She would be able to provide answers to matters when the majority of other people alive at the time were already six feet under the ground. "I take it that you are immortal then?" She presumed that if she had lived that long that she must be. Though, average humans haved lived longer but this girl did not look a day over twenty.

Nessie shrugged off the apology. It didn't really bother her that she wasn't close to her parents at all. She was used to being alone, and now that she had Edward, things were pretty okay in her life. He was all she really needed, anyways.

She had come to expect the surprised reaction from how old she was - it was indeed an age that was not to be sneezed at. Nessie had seen over a century now, the time had passed by rather quickly. The past fifty of those years had been spent on the island, where she'd been living in contented peace.

Nessie nodded in response. Yes, she was immortal. In order to continue the conversation, she wrote, Like it here?

Her father was immortal and Evelynn hoped that was another gift that was passed on to her. She would love to see the world advance and change and have the opportunity to learn more and more about the world she lives on as well as what was beyond.

She nodded. "It is a very nice place. Though, I've never known anywhere else." She had read about the many wonders of the world and hoped that one day, she would get the opportunity to see them. "Do you like it here?" Evelynn asked in response. "I should head home. My father will probably be wondering where I am. It was very nice to meet you, Nessie." She tucked her notebook into her pocket and waved farewell as she trudged down the beach.

Ah, so the girl had lived here her whole life. Nessie had come here for refuge around fifty years ago, but she still traveled outside of the island often for work. Her art had become rather popular, especially over in Europe, and even in the Americas now, too. She'd most recently been over to London to paint a mural. It had been a delightful trip.

Nessie nodded, she did indeed like it here. Her life was quiet and peaceful, with nothing to worry about anymore. Their conversation came to an abrupt end as Evelynn walked off. Nessie waved and watched her go before turning out to the sea and flipping to a fresh page in her notebook to begin doodling.
