The scent of cinnamon, something she remembered well, from times she made tea to warm herself up in cold days, to times when she much needed to relax. And such scent should have calmed Serena further, but how to make someone more zen than they already are normally? Perhaps a light touch of alcohol should do the trick.

"Appreciated, Zoraida.", accepting the drink she was offered, Serena took a long sip with undeniable satisfaction and a pleased sigh, "I quite feel it, a fine recipe that endures the test of time. A fine chemistry, from many that graced my lips."

"It is," Zoraida agreed. "I always find that this drink is very comforting and just makes me feel nostalgic, but in a good way" she admitted as she smiled at Shiro when she appeared at Celeste's side.

"I guess that's a good thing too on a night like this when our ancestors are closer to us in spirit," she said as she looked at Serena and then up at the sky. It was definitely going to be a calm and clear night, great for witchcraft, spells and everything magic related.

"My father had a thing for wine and tea. Mainly fruit tea, the wine was on important occasions with the exception being my birthday. On my birthday we used to have a picnic next to my mother's grave, near the remains of her residence.", although it seemed sad, Serena did not sound sad at all, a pleasant nostalgia coming to her.

Looking up to the sky, Serena gave out a giggle, "They were with me all the time as I traveled the world with my own wings. It may be possible their souls are now resting in peace, and who knows... They may have been reborn, again and again, possibly having witnessed two generations."

Zoraida listened quietly to Serena talk and nodded her head in understanding. "My mother passed away quite suddenly when I was a teenager," she told her. "And my grandmother passed away shortly after I was born."

"I like to think they are both out there somewhere, maybe watching out for us, or maybe they have moved on, or been reincarnated somehow," she said, sort of unsure what she thought anymore. She had experienced way too much loss lately between losing her bother, Broen, and almost losing her son, to actually believe that she was being watched over and protected, however comforting the idea might have been.

Shiro would quickly apply between the drinks, before stepping over to the elderberry wine and helping herself to a glass. Taking a seat she'd sip at the drink her tail swaying behind her, listening as the adults talked.

"Sounds to me you have quite a large family. Guess "loneliness" is barely known for thee, right?", Zoraida's luck, if one could call it that, pleased Serena. Knowing someone had so many around her... Almost finishing her drink, she stopped for a moment, her minding focusing on something of the past for a moment: "I should consider checking how things have been in Athens ever since my departure."

"Yes, the Del Bosques are a rather large family," Zoraida agreed as she turned around slightly and saw Shiro standing there listening.

"In fact, this is, ah, my aunt, Shiro," Zoraida said with a smile as she introduced the 15-year old to Serena while holding back a laugh. It was seriously crazy at how weird things had become family-wise since her grandfather had adopted Tadashi, Shiro, and their sister, Tomomi, into the family.

Shiro would giggle and smirk a little. "Yup, fifteen and already an aunt," she'd grin a bit, "better give me that respect aunts get," she'd tell Zora playfully before looking to the guest.

"But yeah, giant family," she'd take a large drink of her wine, glancing at the table, trying to decide if she should get more. "Its been nice, but a little funny having nieces and such who are older than me"

Felen was wearing the finest elven robes he had. Bright whites and blues and oranges catching the light of the fires as he made his way through the area. Only the right side of his face was enshrouded in a mask- porcelain white contrasting the black and orange of his demonic eye beneath.

Funny how even as Zoraida mentally lamented not having someone watching over her, the elven bodyguard was in fact doing just that. No, he wasnt interfering with his employer's preparations or enjoyment of the event, but he would be sure to be available should something go wrong or if she called for his services. Even if she had told him once again that he should be enjoying the party rather than worrying over her. To that end he managed to secure a cup of quite fragrant cider and merely watched things for the moment.

Tadashi meanwhile was curled up in cat form. Perched on top of a nearby trellis with a single black socked paw lazily falling below through the wooden slats. His eyes closed but tail swishing lightly and ears perked as he listened to what was going on

"Pleased to be acquainted with, Shiro.", Serena didn't seem concerned with the feline aspects of the girl in dark. Finishing her drink, Serena would find seat and address them further: "That's a feeling I'd be familiar with. I saw my father age and perish to time, while youth held onto me. Ever since, I have been looking for my place to belong."

"Manta Carlos is my hope of a place to belong to ever since my arrival, although I had a "belonging crisis" once here already."
, it would be hard to imagine Serena depressed and "giving up on life", given how full of life she felt at all times, and the kind of presence she had.
