Open Finished Alien Encounters

Marluxa, the curious being that they are, decided to explore the rooftops of Starlight Academy after school hours. Ever since Dark Crystal was closed, Marluxa has been eager to explore every inch of this campus and trying to memorize its entire layout. They had a bit trouble of figuring out where their classes were the first couple of days and hoped to avoid feeling lost again by thoroughly exploring everywhere they could.

As they climbed over the guardrails, Marluxa perched on top of the rails and make a series of predator-like clicking noises to "see" what was up on top of the roofs. They leap off of their perch and onto a nearby AC unit, flicking their tongue as they could taste that someone was up here on the roofs with them. Whom this mysterious person was Marluxa did not know quite yet but decided to track down the scent. The cat-like alien kept low to the floor and peeked out from behind another AC unit as they tried to discern as much information on this mysterious person on the roof with them using only their ears and tongue.

Marluxa flicks their tongue a bit as they crept closer, and closer, and closer. They can make out that they are human, or at least they seemed to be human. Marluxa was curious of why this person was here... how they even ended up here? Did they climb or maybe flew up here? When finally close enough, they uncurl their long prehestile tail and gives the human a gentle poke to get their attention.

"Greet greet human! What human do here? Human having look look around?" asked Marluxa as they stand up onto their two feet, tilting her head from side to side like some curious bird.

"Marluxa~" purred the alien as they waltz over next to the railing by James, trying listen to everything that was laid out before them.

"Rmmmhh... Marluxa also try try to make sense of everything too. Marluxa thought they knew everything but everything change. So Marluxa here here to figure out what changed and what not changed! So far, much changed." commented Marluxa, flicking out their tongue several times at the air.

"Rmmmhhh... where is human from? Marluxa not know your particular smell... your taste... did they come from Dark Crystal? Or did they come from elsewhere? Oh do human have a name too?" asked Marluxa as they directed their questions to the boy next to them.

"Arizona? Marluxa not know that place. They make the tea drink there yes yes?" commented Marluxa, recalling a popular beverage called Arizona tea that many students seemed to drink. They never tried as the last tea-based beverage they had made them very ill for a week.

"Oh yes yes James! Marluxa used to go to Dark Crystal Academy. Everyone focused on magicks. Dangerous magicks. Magicks that cause school to destroy itself." cryptically spoke Marluxa as they climb atop the railing lay upon it like a large cat with its long tail coiled onto the railing "Not Marluxa though, Marluxa not able to use magicks."

Next there was the question of the big freeze itself. Marluxa thought their words carefully before providing James an answer.

"They all say freeze but... to Marluxa it was instant. One moment Marluxa going to class then... boom! School in ruins and all of us confused. Only late late that one second became many years and all forget-get us. At least until we were no longer on pause." Marluxa then stretched out their entire body, letting out a big toothy yawn before they settle back into a comfortable position on the railing "Marluxa still not sure what caused it all... probably some silly experiment go wrong wrong. They always seem to go wrong wrong."

"Rhrmmm? Scouts thought Marluxa could do magick at first so teachers at Dark Crystal looked at Marluxa. Ran ran tests. Found nothing." stated Marluxa as they scratches one of their ears with one of their hands. "Told Marluxa they had no magick but said they could stay at Dark Crystal anyway. So Marluxa stayed, thinking Marluxa just late bloom bloom. But magick never came came to Marluxa. Marluxa used to care care but now does not."

Marluxa did try but no matter the lesson they never had the magical aptitude for it and sometimes got picked on by their peers for it. It bothered them at first but they long moved on from magic, finding passion in potions and chemistry instead.

"Many many here has the magick but not all. Some are but flesh yet born or made made superior to peers. Some made made of metal and grinding gears. Some like me are not of this world while others not even of this dimension. Not all supernatural here but all extraordinary. In their own way way."
