KirMir were glad that Jaxon seemed to see the logic in their arguments. It wasn't the end of the world if both bodies had to take part but if they didn't have to double their efforts why should they?
They were curious when Jaxon didn't immediately have a good dare for them but then again he did not seem like the type of person to want to make people uncomfortable. Neither did KirMir of course, but they had significant experience learning about humans and people in general. Apparently though Jaxon had done some studying of his own- of KirMir's reactions.
The moment he suggested blindfolds their hopes of winning the challenge plummeted. He must have deduced one of their weaknesses. Aside from their very serious nearsightedness, their instinct for self-preservation had been modified so that it was exceptionally strong. Being without eyesight in both bodies could very well cause them to panic.
They looked at the distance between where they were standing and where the fountain was. It was a good 25 feet or so.
"That is a request for both of our bodies to do something. We will need to walk with both bodies to get there. However it would be unfair to have one of our sets of eyes uncovered and you did not intend to force us to walk with both bodies. We will accept your dare," Mir said very reluctantly.
They each took off their ties and removed their glasses. They looked extremely uneasy as soon as the glasses were off and Alette put her hand in Mir's to help them until it was time to start walking. With the fabric tied around their heads their vision was cut off.
"W-we are ready to begin. Alette will give directions," Kir said with a grimace as they imagined all the threats that could be approaching while they were blinded. It was irrational, since Alette would see anyone else coming and warn them, but that didn't make their increasing heart rate go down or their blood pressure stop rising. They could feel the first twinges of panic even before they started walking.
Alette slowly removed her hand from Mir's and softly told them it was ok to start walking.
They walked forward with Kir a few feet ahead of Mir but by the time they were about halfway to the fountain their steps had become hesitant despite words of encouragement from both their regalia. Then Kir tripped a little on the edge of a stone. They reacted lighting fast to keep themself from falling but that seemed to trigger something. They looked extremely nervous and their hands were balling into fists and releasing over and over again as they tried to relax but couldn't.
KirMir stopped and removed both blindfolds. The win in this challenge wasn't worth the panic they were feeling. They quickly put their glasses back on and Kir turned to look over at Jaxon
"We concede. It appears you have won this challenge Jaxon. That was a very strategically sound dare." Meanwhile Alette was running over to give Mir a hug. Sed was very quiet- unsure if he should be displeased that they failed or pleased that they still tried even though they clearly knew they weren't going to be able to do it.
