Ian walked over and held out his hand for her to hold when they went in.

Kacey took his hand and slowly went in the water. "Don't let go." She said to him, it was weird.

"Don't worry." he said as he slowly walked in, "I won't." he said as he went about waist deep, "Okay so far?" he asked.

Kacey shrived a little, "It's ok......but um cold." She said, walking in a little more.

Ian smiled, "You get used to it after awhile." he said as he continued to lead her in until they were shoulder deep in the water.

"Ok ok I want to stop." She said, she wouldn't be able to touch the bottom if they went deeper.

Ian smiled and looked at her, "that's okay." he said, "It's cool you decided to come this far, I wouldn't expect you to go any further not knowing how to swim." he said.

"um yeah kinda scary." She said ready to go back, even though she lived in a place where most people swam and went to the beach she didn't like doing that so much. "Oh gosh i think everything is scary. Don't I?"

"No, you only thought the dark is scary and swimming." he said, "Both of those, you overcame." he said, "Everyone has things they're afriad of, and you were brave enough to confront your fears anyway." he said with a smile as he began to wade back to the shore with her.

"No it's almost like I am. I'm afraid of fish, darkness, nightmares, swimming, heights........" Kacey said, trying to think up a few more. Kacey got out of the water as soon as they hit land. "Now I'm all wet." She said, looking at her clothes and laughing slightly. "Oh well."
