Aeron Nightwing

Aeron is very short, standing at 4 foot 4 with white hair that is messy and comes down to just above his eyes, though it is choppy and has no consistent length. His eyes are a cold pale grey and has rather small facial features with pointy ears. He does not own many clothes other than a dirty, tatty blue jumper and grey pants that are ripped in places from catching on twigs and branches. The soles of his feet are tougher than a normal human’s and so he rarely wears anything on them.

Being raised in a forest, Aeron is not used to much human interaction and has only been with his warg for many years. This has made him slightly feral and wary of people, usually approaching with caution and try to appear intimidating if he feels threatened, which doesn’t really work considering his size. He does not understand that there are rules to be followed and prefers to be in the forest than the academy or the city. Aeron is very knowledgeable of plants and wildlife that are found in forest areas as well as being skilled at archery.

Telepathic Communication with Aves and Canids: Aeron can communicate with wolves and birds by thinking what he would like to say to them. He cannot read their minds but only hear what they actively want him to hear like having a normal conversation, only non-verbally and what they say is translated in their mind so both can understand each other. He cannot do this with werewolves or bird shifters unless they are in animal form.

Hollow Bones: Similar to the bones of a bird, Aeron’s bones are hollow, making him lightweight. This makes it easier to move around quickly and perch on narrow branches.

Enhanced Agility and Speed: As well as having less weight to carry, he also has enhanced speed, with his maximum speed of around 26 miles per hour. He is also very nimble, perfect for darting along tree branches.

Immortality: Aeron will live forever and stop ageing at around 20. However, he can still be killed, just not die from natural causes.

Aeron grew up in an isolated forest with his parents. It was all he knew, never venturing outside, only learning about the world from stories his father told him. They led a simple life, living off what they could scavenge and hunt until one night when Aeron was young. He awoke to the sound of yelling and flames flickering up the makeshift walls of his hut. Whoever set the place alight were kicking down the door so Aeron climbed out of the window before anyone caught a glimpse of him. There was no way he could get to his parents before they did, so he ran through the thicket and stopped to the sound of shrieking from familiar voices, weeping as he watched his home and family burn to the ground. He did not know why that night happened or what they were after, but if it was blood, then Aeron did not want to wait around.

Since then, he has fended for himself, making his own weapons and eating whatever he could find. Aeron discovered he could communicate with birds who would keep watch for him if he asked it. After a year on his own, with the birds being his only friends, Aeron came across a wolf pup, more specifically a warg. His father had told him stories of how savage wargs were but this particular one was only a month old at most and had been orphaned, lying beside the corpse of its mother and other members of the litter. The two grew up together with a great deal of trust and respect towards each other. As Fenrir (the warg) got older, Aeron realized that birds were not the only creature he could communicate with. The pair hunted and moved around together until a scout came across them and brought them to Manta Carlos.

Aeron has no money at all and only owns that of which he can carry, including the only set of clothes he owns. He owns a wooden bow that his father had passed down to him, a small quiver of handmade arrows and a dagger for hunting.
