Kadasha was surprised at how big the room was. Her original bedroom was a lot smaller, but they also lived in a small house. The orphanage had large rooms, but she had to share with other kids. She let out an uneasy noise, looking at Noel. Was this really going to be her room? It looked too nice. And there were already so many toys on the shelves. Was this Noel's daughter's room? Did he have a daughter before she came along? Would that daughter mind if she slept in this room? She was hesitant to go more than a few steps in, looking around, hardly believing that this was for her. It was too good to be true, wasn't it? It was too pretty. Too big. This was probably a mistake wasn't it? The bed looked comfortable though, and there was a small shoebox that looked like it was a small bed. Was that... for Shay? Kadasha was unsure how to feel about it. She had always slept with Shay in her little arms. She didn't want to part with him.

Noel watched Kadasha quietly. He hadn't been sure if it was too much, or not enough. And wasn't sure just how she would react. He had hoped positively.

"It's all for you and for Shay too," he explained as he calmly stood behind in the doorway. "The room, bed, toys, everything. It's all brand new. And I can change anything you don't like it," he told her in a reassuring tone.

She could hardly believe it. All this was for her. Really? She looked up at Noel once more and then back to the room. Partially afraid that this was just a dream or an illusion. She walked forward, one step at a time and ran her hand on the sheets, then looked back to Noel to see what his reaction was. She was still taking it all in. Was this really all for her, or would the Noel she's been with suddenly distort into a nightmare now that she started feeling happy? She wasn't convinced it wasn't a dream. And she was hesitant to look back in the first place. She would have regretted not enjoying the moment if it did end up to be a dream. But on the other hand, she had lost enthusiasm whenever she woke up in that orphanage.

Noel just smiled and nodded encouragingly when Kadasha glanced back at him when she very tentatively entered the bedroom and started inspecting everything.

"Why don't I just leave you two alone to get settled into your room?" Noel suggested after a few moments. "I will be in the kitchen cleaning up if you need anything, okay?" he explained before he left Kadasha and Shay alone to discover the bedroom freely and without him looming in the background.

The child gave a nod as Noel excused himself, and she stared at the doorway for about ten more seconds after he left before she climbed onto the bed with Shay. "Wow! I can't believe all this room is for us!" the toy grinned, scurrying over to one end of the bed to the other and to the smaller shoe box bed. Kadasha looked around as well, mainly at all the other toys. Surely, they all belonged to someone else, right? Noel couldn't have bought all of them just for her. Maybe this room did belong to Noel's daughter. Or niece, maybe. She knew a distant relative who didn't have a child of her own, but let her niece live with her. Kadasha had only been there once. "Do you think these toys can come alive like me? Or Little Red?" the toy asked. "Maybe?" Kadasha whispered. "Would they like me?" "I'm sure they would. I guess they're too shy to move right now... Maybe Little Red knows if they're alive. She'd like it here, I think. There's not a lot of people."
