Raella had been informed that her new dorm mates were moving in today and she was far from opposed. Though being an only child had gotten her accustomed to solitary, staying in a dorm with three other vacant rooms seemed to amplify what felt like isolation. Letting out a sigh, she flopped back onto the bed and stared blankly at the dull white ceiling. Thoughts and questions circled her mind, coming and going like droplets of rain in a thunderstorm. Desolation was all she'd ever known but now that was clearly about to change, drastically. Sharing the room with not one but three other people felt like she was skipping a few steps in the "let's learn how to live with people!!" but despite the underlying trepidation, there was a flicker of exhilaration; for the first time in a while, she felt like her world had reverted back to before any traumatic events occurred, like she was the same young child waiting for her friends to arrive at a party.

Closing her eyes, she allowed her conscious to drift to a blissful fantasy, one free of despair. With her breathing dropping to a steady, relaxed rhythm and her lips curled to form a slight smile, Raella drifted off to sleep as she waited for new dormmates.

And for the first time in a while, the demons plaguing her mind were absent, lost somewhere in the abyss of her thoughts.

((the dorms are generally setup as individual bedrooms connected to a shared living room/kitchen so i'm going to go with that for the layout))

Aura was nervous about meeting her dorm-mates. That was what they were called right? Probably. Adjusting the being on the actual island itself was still tough but at least the myriad of counselors and others had been helping her get used to... well it was basically freedom she guessed. Sure there were rules and all that but no one was telling her when lights out was or when she could eat or whatever anymore.

The girl started to knock and then remembered she had her own key... so she went ahead and quietly unlocked the door, pushing it open to peer inside. It was quiet, for supposedly having four people living there. Maybe they hadn't all moved in yet, or they could have just been out?

"Um... hello?," she called out into the living room. Her voice fairly quiet and unsure. Chances were that even if someone was listening they might have missed it. Not seeing anyone immediately she set about dragging her bags into the room. There wasn't all that much really- she'd left a lot of her things back on the islets so the other patients could have a few new things, or new to them anyway. She was left with a small selection of the books, music and clothes she liked and only recently had started fixing that issue.

The girl was dressed very plainly, in jeans and a t-shirt that was clearly a little too large for her. Her purple-pink hair was carefully arranged to cover half her face, as usual. The people transferring her to the island originally had been nice enough to provide her some clothes to wear but they weren't exactly able to give her anything that nice. She'd gone shopping for a few things but honestly she didn't know what kinds of clothes to pick out.

Looking around, she wondered which of the bedrooms was going to be hers. And then the strap on one of her bags broke, sending it to the floor with a loud thump.

(lol, not at all the title is great... )

Carrying a rather large collapsable box down the hall to her new dorm room, Liliana had been offered the chance to dorm with three other girls. A chance she readily accepted. Being alone was okay for the first week, but after that she hated coming back to an empty room.

It was strange since she spent most of her time surrounded by others. Between classes and student council and the Hereafter, you'd think she'd want to be alone, but the truth was, she had come to enjoy being around others.

Opening the door to her dorm, Lily almost didn't see the young woman bent over retrieving her things over the big bulky box she was carrying.

"Aura?" she said, surprised to see who was one of her new roommates as she quickly set her box down on the floor to help her pick up her shopping.

Elisa was eager to meet her new roommates. She was moving rooms, so she'd miss her privacy, but to be with three other girls would be nice. She was getting rather lonely.

She herself was dressed in a spotted dress, something she picked up recently, using the money from her new job. Maybe she could go shopping someday with her roommates?

Spotting the girls inside the room, she walked over to them, switching the hands pulling her suitcase. They had to be two of her roommates. "Didn't expect to see you two here," she smiled at Liliana, before also moving to help Aura pick up her belongings.

Hearing a commotion in the living room, Raella jolted up and sprinted toward her bedroom door and pressed her ear against it. Her hand hovered hesitantly over the handle, as she listened in. It seemed that all her dorm mates had arrived, one of them named Aura and the other two a complete mystery. Wanting to at least look slightly presentable, she patted the hem of her onyx dress down and combed through her hair to cover all evidence of her short nap before opening the door and stepping outside.

A few moments passed in complete silence as Raella took the scene before her in. There was an adorable and petite female who's purple hair matched her amethyst eyes and then there were Liliana and Elise. What.

Chaos ensued.

With her voice raised just a little too loudly to be heard indoors, Raella exclaimed "oh my gosh you guys are my new dorm mates? Holy shit this is amazing!" Sprinting over toward the trio, she gave them each a slight bow as a greeting. Upon realizing she should probably keep her volume down for the sake of Aura, she quickly added: "seems like I got a little too excited, my bad." The jubilant grin still plastered on her face, she then turned to face Aura, extending a hand towards the shorter lady to shake. Her tone was much more languid and calm but still conveyed a fair amount of enthusiasm "The name's Raella, a pleasure to be rooming with you." Needless to say, an introduction from Raella herself wouldn't be complete without a teasing wink at the end.

Aura turned to look as a giant box with legs came into the room. Well, it was really a person carrying the box but it was so big it was hard to see who it was at first from where she was kneeling.

As Liliana set the box down and called out her name she was able to recognize her. "Oh, um Liliana? Hi," she greeted the Student Council President with a polite nod. Internally she was reminding herself that the girl wasn't really an authority figure so calling her Ms. President would have been kind of weird here. Besides, they'd met each other before.

Her thoughts were disrupted as another familiar girl stepped inside though. "Hi Elisa," she smiled and then added, "I didn't know who I would get but this is um a pleasant surprise. Thanks for helping me." There was a certain amount of relief in her face as the two of them moved to help her pick up the dropped bag. Elisa was one of Aura's first friends after transferring to the island.

Then the final roommate emerged... from her bedroom? 'Oh, she must have not heard hear me because I was too quiet' Aura realized after looking over at the girl. She had a plain but pretty dress on and she caught herself glancing at the girls cute wings and tail before averting her gaze a little.

"Oh, um it's... ok. It's kind of exciting I think," she offered even as she slightly shrunk away from the sudden and loud approach of the girl. She nearly squirmed with the attention on her but she had been trying to work on that lately.

Instead Aura gave Raella a small smile and took her hand, softly shaking it. Aura's hand was warm to the touch. Like laundry fresh out of the dryer warm. "Um, I'm Aura... nice to uh meet you," she replied as her eye caught the wink and the embarrassed confusion it caused drew a little pink to her cheek.

Liliana turned her head when she heard Elisa's voice beside her. "Holy moly..." she breathed in in surprise, realising that Aura, who she had met previously, and her council mate and shooting partner, Elisa, were also her roommates.

And then, before she could comment more than a simple nod and hello, she saw someone else she also knew, come into the room... Raella. Loud, friendly and just a whirlwind of energy.

Chuckling at this as she stood up again, Liliana glanced at Elisa, smiled, and then watched while placing her hands in her back pockets. This was certainly going to be interesting.

She had Raella, Liliana and Aura as her new roommates? Raella was right, this is amazing.

"So I guess at least most of us know each other then? Seems odd not to do Introductions, but seriously wow. I wasn't expecting this." She seemed almost at the point of laughter, she was that amused.

It was the perfect set up though, she could spar with Raella more often, wake up and set off with Liliana for their morning practice and if Aura needed help, she was there for her. Brilliant.

Upon noticing Aura's shy and rather introverted reactions, Raella immediately calmed down, folding her wings neatly behind her back to appear less...loud. Flashing her a grin, she started a quick "likewise!" before glancing at the scattered belongings on the floor. Given that she was much too lazy to shift everything manually, she formulated a plan to do so magically. Having fought Elisa before, Raella knew she didn't have any convenient telepathic magic and she was willing to bet that neither did Aura nor Liliana. Hence she came to the extremely intelligent conclusion that crystalized blood floating platforms would be the best option. With a flick of her wrist, a suspicious looking oversized crimson vial came floating out of her room door and hovered in front of the four girls. Bending its top half towards them, the jar, much like its owner, greeted them with a playful bow.

"Now let's get this party started!"

Bending her knees, Raella's right arm extended fully before sweeping through the air which caused the jar to sever into three different parts. Like a servant, the red substance quickly gathered each person's belongings, morphing into a circular platform in the process. Now levitating in mid-air with different bags and boxes resting atop it, it awaited the next command.

"So uh..." Raella began, very smoothly if she did say so herself "which room would you guys like?"

"Oh um, yeah. I think we lucked out or they did it to make sure we would get along or something," She said to Elisa before turning her attention back to the girl she didn't really know. The one whose minor teasing was making Aura blush with embarrassment.

Aura really appreciated Raella trying so hard to calm down and make things a little less overwhelming for her. Or at least right up until the big container of suspicious red material floated up to greet them all. "Um.... what kind of party are you..." she trailed off as the thing broke open and the strong metallic scent of blood filled the room. The wolf inside her practically howled in excitement, but she forced it to stay put. She backed up and clenched her hands as her pupil dilated.

Aura warily watched as the blood spread out to pick up their various belongings and she looked back over at Raella. "Please don't leave any blood on my things but um... it doesn't matter to me, i'll just take whatever everyone else doesn't want," confessed Aura as she thought about it. She'd never picked a room before. Hers had always been assigned for her and... they weren't different other than their placement. As for the blood? Well she would already be smelling it for a while as it was.
