"Yes Ma'am."

She guessed he hated hospitals too, but he needed care. She thought for a bit and smirked, "I guess seeing how sneaky you are I'll just have to make sure you don't try and escape at least for tonight." She said going into the room with him. She didn't want him to get hurt so she'd stay to make sure he at least stopped bleeding and was cared for well enough.

She never really saw him gaze at her before, it kinda felt nice even if she couldn't figure out anything he thought or felt. She didn't know what he thought when he smirked at her. For all she knew he could have been plotting to kill her.

"That you do."

He seemed to be more friendly to her but she couldn't tell if he really cared or not. She didn't show her love for him, because she was afraid to. She was too afraid to pour out her heart and then have the same thing happen or worse. She sat down in a chair near the bed, she didn't want to go back to her appartment and sleep. She'd just have nightmares that Darci would've found out about Marek and try to kill him or worse make him not fall for her or some other way of torture. He seemed awfully merry smirking and chuckling, she wondered why.

"I guess seeing how sneaky you are I'll just have to make sure you don't try and escape at least for tonight."

Marek looked at her, feeling urged to kiss her. "Good." he replied, dark gaze severe. He cursed mentally, trying to right his thoughts, but he couldn't. He stood then, and moved over to her. He planted a hand on either arm of her chair so that he was leaning over her, intense gaze boring into her eyes.

Then, with one hand still on the chair, and his body positioned so that she couldn't get away, he moved his other hand to lift her chin. His eyes flicked down to her lips, then back up to her face. And then he kissed her firmly.

Claira's heart thumped, he kept gazing at her. She wondered why, she wondered what his gaze meant. She felt as though she could never be his type. She heard his reply of 'Good' she couldn't help but wonder what he meant by it. His gaze was so severe now, she saw him stand to his feet moving over to her. He planted his hands on both sides of her chair so that he was leaning over her trapping her in. Her heart raced, her gaze met his. She couldn't move, she was stunned like it wasn't really happening like it was all just a dream.

But then with one arm still on the chair keeping her trapped, he moved his unoccupied hand to lift her chin. His eyes looked to her lips, then back to her face. Her heart pounded, their lips suddenly met. She tried to back away at first, but then found herself lost in it and kissed him back. She realized what she was doing, she tried to stop herself but his lips felt so right against her's. She never felt so loved, the kiss was firm she felt herself falling in that moment completely under his spell.

She tried to break her moment of weakness by slapping him. But her hand slowed resting gently against his cheek. She kissed him back firmly, she couldn't fight him he was not only too strong physically. But he had already won the battle before she could even start to push away. Her eyes melted into a soft gaze into his firm unemotional one. She never would've thought so much love lurked behind those unemotional eyes.

He hated what he was doing to her, and even more so what she was doing to him. He couldn't get emotionally involved. It was almost a complete impossibility. He broke the kiss and leaned his forehead against hers for a moment. He straightened, looking at her with out any kind of look on his face. He closed his eyes and breathed out slowly. The warmth of her lips against his still lingered. When he opened his eyes, they were different, tortured, almost.

He shook his hair back into his eyes, and he turned from her. "I'm sorry. I had no right to do that." he said quietly, voice slightly strained as he struggled with himself.

He moved over to the window of the hospital wing and looked out the window. His good arm rested lightly across his lower ribs. He wondered silently to himself what he was doing.

He could see she was hurting. The same way that he had been before he threw away all emotion to kill. He could be there for her. Help her learn to deal with it. Maybe try to be her friend. But he couldn't love her. He couldn't risk her life. Things were getting complicated very quickly.

"I'm sorry. I had no right to do that."

She got up and made her way over to him, she had been struggling inside. "Marek... I... I'm not someone who might be around forever. I have a lot of enemies, you mean a lot to me. But... I'm afraid we'd only hurt eachother, or you'd leave me." She sighed, "For a split second when you kissed me I felt like my life was before me and so much of it left. But I realize I'm not the kind of person that a person would want to spend their life with. Nor am I easy to get along with."

She rested her hand on his shoulder, "I wouldn't want you to get hurt." This explained her actions earlier with toting him back to the hospital. She kissed his cheek lightly. "Thank you for everything." She turned to leave the room, but couldn't leave. The kiss had been something that had made her feel so wonderful. In love almost, she liked him a lot. She couldn't bring herself to leave, she turned around facing him. Her eyes met his, her eye were tortured with feelings towards him. She stepped closer to him, tears were now visable in her eyes. She hugged him tightly, "I don't want to leave you." She she hugging him a bit tighter. "I just don't want to lose you." She said tears hitting his shirt.

Marek's face never changed through her speach, but inside, he was dieing. He wanted to reach out to her, tell her not to leave, but he accepted what she had to say. He dropped his head slightly, hiding his tortured eyes from her, but as she spoke her good bye, he raised her head to watch her leave.

When her eyes met his, the look in his eyes was something similar to a lost puppy. When she stepped closer, he took the move to envelop her in a hug, an awkward hug, but a hug none-the-less. He didn't even wince at all with her tight hugging. He was good with pain. "Claira." he said softly, resting his chin on her head as she cried. "You're not going to lose me. " he stroked her hair slightly.

He didn't make a move to kiss the top of her head, as much as he wanted to, and instead just let her cry. "And I'm not going to hurt you." he said, a firmness taking over his voice. The throbbing in his side was getting worse, and he made a mental note to check to make sure that the wound didn't open up again. But his body didn't react.

"Claira. You're not going to lose me. "

The words were so comforting and loving, she didn't know if she could give up holding back from him. She was falling for him and she knew it, she couldn't just let him go. But she was afraid to let him in, if he broke her heart she'd be twice as broken then before. But his hold on her made her feel safe, she shifted in his arms so she wasn't putting preasure on his wound.

"And I'm not going to hurt you." Her hand moved to his cheek her hand running against it. She looked in his eyes, her eyes were sad but loving. "I just don't want to let you get close if I lose you in the end." She said a tear falling down her cheek. "Your all I have." She remembered all the fighting and anger, and how it was all a mask of her true feelings. She just didn't want to get hurt again.

Marek sighed, running his thumb across her cheek in a caress, taking the tear with it. He leaned down and kissed where the cheek had been. "I never want to be the source of your tears," he whispered against her skin, moving one hand to her upper back to pull her closer to him.

He kissed her forehead then, and tilted her head so that it was against his chest. He rested his chin lightly on her head and just held her.

She felt his hand caress her cheek, his kiss on her cheek was so soft. She knew she was losing her iron shield, he had found a way to get in and rush the security she had positioned around her heart. Her heart beat was pounding with anticipation in what he'd do now that he broke into her fort of her heart. He had made her feel more happy than she had been in a while. She knew that if she lost him, she'd be lost.

"I never want to be the source of your tears,"

She was pulled closer, her heart beating faster. She had gotten closer to him than she had bargained for, she was falling for him. She was scared, she wanted the happiness he gave her and yet she was afraid that he'd leave her crying. His words were sincere, but she was afraid.

He kissed her forehead, her resistance fell down. She trusted him, when he tilted her head she looked in his eyes, her heart in her throat or so it felt. He continued to hold her, she rested her head on his chest. His chest was comforting, something like she had imagined she'd rest her head against when she was married. He was strong, sweet, comforting, she remembered the times they fought. Her arms wrapped around his chest not hitting the wounds. She clung to him, she needed him. You could almost say she loved him, he was the one person who saw her weaknesses who wasn't trying to hurt her.

She turned her gaze to his, she moved her head from his chest. Her eyes glued to his, she moved her lips closer to his. This was her way of giving up trying not to get hurt. She realized she was too attached already to just sweep it under the rug. She felt she needed to kiss him to make sure she wanted to go through with it.

Marek smiled softly, before meeting her waiting lips in a passionate kiss. He pulled her close to him, ignoring the mild twinges of pain that it caused him. He pulled back and rested his hand gently on her cheek. "I'm not going to push you into anything." he leaned his forehead against hers. "And please, please tell me to slow down if I lose contol." he looked at her pleadingly with his dark eyes.

He sighed quietly. "Claira. My life is dangerous. I don't want to get you involved." he slid the hand on her cheek to brush a strand of her hair behind her ear, then sliding his hand onto her neck. He hugged her. "but it's too late. I'm in too deep." he smiled down at her. "You're stuck with me."
