"Don't worry. I don't plan on it. I could probably fix that arm of yours if I had the time.".... "There. I'm done."

She looked at him now her vision back to normal, she sat on the chair in front of his desk taking a pile of papers and going through them with her not broken hand. She signed wavers and junk, she soon finished a good half of the pile. She had dealt with this stuff so much she already knew what was needed and what wasn't. She supposed this was being nice to him. But she didn't say a word while doing it, neither did she look mad.

She almost wished she could get to know him more, she whacked herself mentally. She realized this was being nice but he had just helped her, the least she could do is help him. Even if it was his fault she was ill, she had forgiven him but still she said no words to him. She prefered to work to show her thanks instead of just saying it so impersonally. The truth was her heart was racing for another reason, she supposed it was obivious she liked him somewhat. But she wasn't going to admit it for her own heart's sake. Especially with Darci still alive.

Marek glanced up at her, shocked that she was helping him. He'd helped her because he'd nearly killed her, but she was being.. nice.. by.. choice. Mind you, his shock didn't register on his face. He finished writing what he was writing, then stood.

"Uh.. Thanks.. for... um.." he shifted uncomfortably, not so good at situations when people were nice to him. Especially someone as beautiful as her. He decided not to say anything more. "I've got some other stuff to do." he moved towards the door uncomfortably, not looking at her as he moved past.

'Get your mind off this. It's a weakness. Get over it Marek. We all know what happened to the last person you found attractive.' he thought to himself, shaking his mind.

She continued to work on the papers, she didn't think he'd get uncomfortable and leave. "Uh.. Thanks.. for... um.." She noted his uncomfortableness. She felt a little panic in her heart, did he like her somewhat?! She finished the papers quickly. "I"m sorry if I've caused you any uncomfortableness." She said immediately standing after his papers were finished. She moved to the door past him. "I'll leave you in peace." She said moving past him walking towards the outside door.

"I've got some other stuff to do."

She sighed, continueing on. She needed to stop letting stupid thoughts of his strong handsomeness. Or his had against her face, or his hand on her neck. She pinched herself for even thinking about him again, she was losing it. She needed to become numb again, she needed to hate him. She needed to beat him, this was the only way she'd be able to protect herself from him and falling in love. She smiled in satisfaction of the idea.

TIME JUMP!!!

He'd assassinated the man he'd been told to assassinate, but he hadn't been expecting the four extra guards. He took them on easily, but not before he'd obtained some severe damage.

He'd left the dead bodies behind, and had managed to get to the forest, near the school, before collapsing.

And so there he lay, on his back, arm bleeding, strong chest bleeding, leg bleeding, breath haggard. His hair was out of eyes, and in his pain, all the story that they told was hidden, leaving behind only handsome eyes, laced with pain. He could heal others, but not himself.

His vision started to blur and he fought for conciousness, trying desperately not to slip into the feared abyss of unconciousness, where he relived all of the memories he tried so desperately to submerge in his subconcious. 'Come on. Stay awake. You can't slip in there.' he coached himself, as his breath hitched, a sharp pang of pain shooting through the huge gash on his chest/side. New blood leaked out, and he forced his eyes open.

Claira had been on a walk, she had sucessfully put her girlish thoughts out of her head. She walked in the forest trying to relax from her long day's work when she noticed a bloody body laying on the ground. Upon closer examination she found it was the handsome teacher who made her heart race. She fought her inner emotions and knelt down beside him, "Your a complete and utter idiot! I don't know what you were doing, but for you to let this much damage happen was beyond stupid." She didn't let her eyes show the concern she felt for him. She looked at his wounds, examining that they were made through a fight. She looked at him her cold eyes melting, she grumbled. "Such a idiot." She took off her jacket ripping her sleeves off her blouse she wrapped it around the man's chest.

She then sighed, taking her blouse off, she had a second shirt underneath so it didn't make much of a difference. She took her blouse and used it to bandage his wounds. She looked at his eyes quickly before moving to his side that wasn't injured badly and slipping her arm underneath his to hold him up. She said no other words to him, the man was merely a person in need. She wasn't going to let him weasle into her heart. Though he was slowly winning room in her heart without her consent. She wasn't completely weak, she had a good amount of muscle that she could at least support his weight at the angle she did using leverage. She couldn't carry him, but she could try her best to get him to a hospital.

'I never thought I'd say this,' he thought to himself, 'but focus on her beauty. That should keep you awake.' His heart had nearly lept out of his chest when she came into his blurred line of vision.

A soft sound escaped his lips, but it wasn't one of pain. Or sadness. It was more him trying to breathe. Confusion covered the pain over his eyes, before he shook his head, covering the eyes that betrayed him in this circumstance. "Why.. Are you helping me?" he asked, obviously coherent enough to know what he was asking. His voice was clear, but he was in pain, and clearly a bit disabled because of it.

A string of curse words found their way out of his mouth, but he cut them off, saying only half of one. It hurt a lot. But showing pain was a weakness. He tried to support most of his weight on his own, not wanting to cause her any more trouble than he absolutely had to. He was good at pretending that he was dancing along the edges of unconciousness.

She looked at him concern filling her eyes, hearing him struggling to breath was making her actually feel for him. She saw his confusion and pain, she didn't want to see him in pain. Even if he was a idiot to have let himself get this hurt. She moved the hair from his eyes, "I need to see if your alive, it's stupid if I help you and you hide your pain and illness because your still a human with feelings." She said to him gently, almost caringly.

"Why.. Are you helping me?"

She didn't answer him, she only continued walking. She didn't know why she would help him, but she knew she couldn't sit there and watch him die. She walked keeping as much of his weight on her, she hadn't let a man this close since her fiance. Her eyes saddened slightly at the thought of it.

She looked at him more concerned, suddenly a idea popped in her head, it would make it easier on her if he was unconcious. Though she didn't know if putting him unconcious would be good for him health wise considering he was bleeding a lot. She sighed lightly, "Lean on me completely, I can support your weight. If you don't you'll only end up more injured and I'm helping you not to make you more injured so you could help by letting me do what I need to do." She held most of his weight, her cold heart melting slightly with concern, women had a soft spot for injured men. It was sad how this soft spot was making her act towards him. And her liking him only fueled it more.

Marek tried not to growl. He didn't like depending on others. But he conceded, gently and slowly relinquishing more weight for her to carry. He smiled, a smile that got forth the laugh he couldn't produce. "Even in a situation when I'd bleeding all over the forest floor, you still don't make any sense." he said in his husky voice, all the deeper because of pain.

His breathing hitched, and he breathed out slowly, trying not to wince from the pain. "All the same, I'm..Well.. indebted to you." he couldn't clear his throat, or cough, as he did when he was uncomfortable, so he resorted to pausing, "Thank-you, Claira." he finished, sincerity lacing his now visible eyes.

"Even in a situation when I'd bleeding all over the forest floor, you still don't make any sense. All the same, I'm..Well.. indebted to you. Thank-you, Claira."

She was silent, no response to his words, unseen to him were tears welling in her eyes. She looked away slightly, she realized she had opened her heart to him. And if she got hurt, she'd never be able to make it. She didn't know why she had let her guard down for a second. She felt so lonely sometimes, even if she was in a crowded room. She never let anyone make a effect on her, a slight whimper came from her lips. Which she immediately covered with a cough, she thought about his hand against her neck before, and when he had her pinned.

She tried to force those images out of her mind, but she wasn't winning. She thought of her past boyfriend, how he had promised he'd never forget her. And then she found him with someone else, as if she had never existed. The pain throbbed inside her heart, she needed to get him to the hospital and get as far away as possible. She couldn't be near him, if she did she'd only end up hurt. She forced her eyes to go back to numb, she continued walking. "You should preserve your energy, talking will only cause you to bleed more." She said coldly.

TIME JUMP!!

When they got to the hospital wing, the nurses rushed to help them, and Marek found himself surrounded. He didn't really like it. He remained very still and silent as they worked around him, cleaning, stitching, and bandaging his wounds. He was just glad they hadn't asked how he'd gotten hurt.

They finished, and continued to flutter, asking him if he needed anything, to which he shook his head. "Thank-you for your assisstance, ladies, but I've quite alright now." he said, smiling charmingly at them, shaking his hair into his eyes.

The nurses disbanded, and he sighed, pulling himself into a sitting position. Due to the fact that they had cut his shirt off to get to his wounds, he was shirtless. He swung his legs over the edge of his bed, setting his feet on the floor. He breathed heavily, wrapping his hand around his bandaged ribs, mouth open so as to get more breath.
