A Teacher and A Flame

"I came to teach at Dark Crystal. A...friend, told me about it. When I found that Darci had already taken it over, I decided to come here, since a school with stupid teachers who never focus fully on improvement, could use one who doesn't care."

"I see..." Claira was bored, paperwork was bothersome. She didn't want to deal with it, she decided a bit of unfriendly teacher/headmistress behavior wasn't too bad. She smirke inwardly thinking of a nice non-idiotic way to kick the teacher's backside without knowing his powers. She figured he was fast and silent but she still needed to observe him more. She decided her first attack would be idiotic. She flicked her finger, a large burst of flames came at him fastly. She wasn't in the mood to play footsie, she wanted to fight.

He didn't blink, he didn't look up, he didn't even stop inspecting his sword, but the flames disapated before it touched him, not betraying his powers, since there were a billion different ways to extinguist a flame. He smirked lightly, sheathing his weapon smoothely and standing. "That was boring." he said frankly, reaching behind his back and pulling a dagger from a hidden sheath.

He proceeded to inspect it, before shoving it back into it's place, contented that it was fine. He didn't say anything else, but instead stretched for a moment, before returning to his crouched position, completely still.

She stood to her feet, a smirk upon her face. "Your more boring, you stare more at swords, pebbles and other non-living things than you do people. At least I have a life compared to you." She said she secretly had more weapons than fire. Though she usually never used them, though they were lined on her clothing unseen to the eye. She had daggers, and other small hideable sharp, poisonious and otherwise harmful things.

The woman yawned, "Are you gonna attack or act like a nitwitted school boy." She said mockingly, she found it fun to pick on people before or in a fight. It made it more interesting for her.

He flicked his eyes at her, and he smirked. "I have no interest in people, so why should I look at them?" he questioned, dropping in front of her silently, hair covering his dangerous eyes. One could only assume he was an idiot, with his shaggy hair, and apparently overly self confident approach to life. However, if one could see his eyes, and the depth of their emotionlessness, and how much of a story they told, they would not be so quick to judge.

He chuckled, a hollow, unemotionless sound, "My dear, I have no interest in fighting you, it was you who attacked me." he smirked at her, and in the blink of an eye was a small distance away from her, his back turned to her, though his senses were tuned to her.

"I have no interest in people, so why should I look at them?"

She chuckled, "Good point, I guess you don't look at yourself often in the mirror seeing how you seem to be forgetting I am a headmistress here and I can easily fire you." She said with a smirk, "But it's more fun to put you in your place through a fight."

"My dear, I have no interest in fighting you, it was you who attacked me."

"I know... But you annoyed me first so therefore I attacked first as a sign of warning. But you being a strange weird person you might consider fighting me instead of filling out your class papers which I piled on your desk this morning. Also if you win you don't have to fill out the three hundred and fifty page report that the stupid school needs for records." She said with a smirk. She was telling the truth in a way, she was bluffing kinda since that was to be filled out over a year in time and it wasn't on the spot. But she wanted to fight this man.

Marek stopped walking, and shrugged. "It's more of a cover, a re-living of the past, so to speak. I really couldn't care less if you fired me." he turned slowly, apparently slothful to regard her, though his eyes were still well covered by hair.

"I know... But you annoyed me first so therefore I attacked first as a sign of warning. But you being a strange weird person you might consider fighting me instead of filling out your class papers which I piled on your desk this morning. Also if you win you don't have to fill out the three hundred and fifty page report that the stupid school needs for records."

He breathed out slowly and silently, regarding her with hooded eyes. The wind blew the hair out of his eyes, but the way he was looking at her managed to hide their deadly depth from her. "You make strange wagers, yet somehow, I don't think I'll be free of your troublesome ways unless I agree." He made no move to warn her about his previous occupation, though he wasn't going to kill her. In his mind, a temper was a handicap, not a plus. Any emotion was a handicap.

His weight shifted almost imperciptably, still standing straight, and nodded his head at her, "Shall we fight then?" he smirked lightly, and a small, short chuckle escaped his lips. He was going to finish this quickly, since it was far too troublesome to prolong, and he had nothing to prove.

She rolled her eyes, he made no sense, he was like some kind of quiet intelectual yet extremely quiet person. She wondered how he stayed so quiet and didn't let his temper get the best of him. She sighed guessing it must've been something in his past. Sadly everything was past, she didn't know why everyone including her had past issues.

"You make strange wagers, yet somehow, I don't think I'll be free of your troublesome ways unless I agree."

"Your right, so just agree so that you get out of it if you win. And if not I'll have you file my week's paperwork." She said with a smirk, she was sure she was going to win. After all she was the Headmistress of DCA, so obiviously she couldn't be weaker than a teacher.

"Shall we fight then?"

She smirked. "Of course, it's your move." She liked defensive/offensive moves, she liked to keep herself safe but win. Her and Darci were what one might say buddies at one time. Claira had given her a lot of ideas such as the time warp spell. The life splitter spell and a few other methods of torturing criminals to be good. But Darci decided to use them on good instead.

Marek's hands dropped to the hilt of his swords, and his fingers wrapped around the ends easily. He didn't draw the swords, however. "I'll attack in a moment, though it is my experiance that sparring without ordaining how to win always ends in tradegy. I would prefer to decide where we end it." his last sentence seemed to be open, like there was something he wasn't saying, and he wasn't. He wanted a limit so that he didn't kill her.

As he stood, heat began seeping from his fingers into his sword at very low amounts. He planned to end this as quickly as possible. His invisible eyes scanned the distance between them, calculating how far he would have to travel to make the first strike, how to strike, etc.

She smirked, "Fine, the spar has no rules. Though if you kill me you lose a job, and if I kill you. I lose a teacher, though of course if either of us kill the other it'd be stupid." She said with a sigh, "But I don't care if I live or die so everything goes." She said with a smirk.

She truly didn't care about her life, in fact she never tried to live in a impossible situation she'd not struggle and fight. She realized if she struggled she'd be the stupidiest headmistress ever. Her life had often been saved by her students, it was odd how they could care for her even after the torture she put them through. She waited for the man to attack, she wanted to have a reasonable fight.

Marek didn't move, though he cursed mentally. This woman thought she was brilliant, but she was not as good as she thought. If death was the end, he could win it right then. He could think of a hundred different ways to kill her. She obviously did not expect much of him. He was going to have to hold back, since he only killed for a great deal of money.

His blades hissed out of their sheaths, smoke curling from the blades. He held the blades at an angle, and smirked at her. Suddenly, the blades burst on fire, the flames spreading up his arms and over his body in a matter of seconds. Then the flames disapated, and he wasn't there.

He was behind her, one blade at her neck, the other at her side, standing a bit to the side and back so that she couldn't hit his head with hers. He said nothing, but the light, yet meaningful pressure of the blades spoke for themselves.
