Naoko's the character in my cast with the least plots, so I figured I'd throw her in for consideration.
Naoko is sixteen years old (seventeen start of next month) and in Grade 11 at Manta Carlos. Unlike pretty much everyone else, she's actually native to the island--she's been in Starlight Academy since preschool. Naoko herself has no powers, although her father does, which is why she's on the island.
In general, I imagine that Naoko is a fixer. She's probably going to end up with someone who is more on the timid end of things, or maybe someone who's been traumatized in the past. Naoko's father is very traumatized by his past, and Naoko's grown up learning to be extra delicate with him. I could see her gravitating to people she feels are 'like her father', and being extra protective/defensive of someone she feels had a similar past (even if it wasn't quite the same).
So, basically that's the jist of what I had in mind. If you've got ideas, throw them at me.
Keep in mind I won't for-sure guarantee a ship until I'm sure there's IC chemistry, simply because sometimes... well, sometimes things don't work out.
