Open Finished A Piece of Pumpkin Pie

It was lunch. Lavender wasn't hungry today; she got a slice of pumpkin pie, and ate a small piece, that's it. She was focused into her book, "A Beginner's Introduction to Growing Fruits and Vegetables".
Pumpkin pie was Lavender's favorite dessert. In fact, if she could grow pumpkins and know how to cook, she'd bake a pumpkin pie every single day. Lavender only knew how to grow flowers, not vegetables or fruits. To be honest, why a girl that started gardening at age 5 would even touch vegetables back then?
Lavender totally forgot the pie. Probably the pie is looking for someone else to be eaten.

"O-oh." Lavender responses, a little late, and turns her head to Azucena. "I-I'm just too focused about this thing, growing fruits and veggies. Oh, by the way, you can take the pie. I'm not hungry."

"Oh, thank you!" Lavender says with a smile on her face. She thinks that a break would be good for her, especially in a situation like this.

"Mhm, I'm in the gardening club" Lavender says, after nodding her head. "I want to come prepared, though." she says, and continues reading.

"Mainly oranges and pumpkins, they are my favorite." says Lavender, with ambition and passion in her eyes. "Maybe I can help cooking this pie... By growing the pumpkin!" she says, while pointing at the delicious pumpkin pie.
