Mike tapped his foot viciously....she was late. His apprentice's first mission and she was late! She has a life Mike, you can't just go- "I DONT HAVE TIME FOR YOUR PHILOSPHY CRAP OSIRIS! SHE SAID SHE WAS GOING TO BE HERE!" Maybe something came u- "NO! SHE SAID SHE HAD NOTHING GOING ON! THERE IS NO WAY SOMETHING SO SUDDEN HAPPENED!" Mike please stop yelling Mike took deep breaths in and out. "Osiris.....I'm calm....alright? We can do this by ourselves I guess." Just wait a little longer. I swear she will be here soon. I know it. Mike simply shook his head. He looked out on the horizon, staring to see if a figure would appear. This was just a bad start to what was going to be a horrible day.

From his side, a lynx ran to his side. It looked up at him and yowled as only felines could do, then sat.

Next, come the dog, Bandit. He didn't sit, but he did try to get between Mike and Maddie.

Mike looked at the lynx, a small scowl on his face. "Your late. What took you so long Maddie?" Mike knew the Lynx was Maddie. Not many creatures liked Mike so they either stayed away when they saw him or straight up tried to maul him.

Mike sighed "Fine. Let's just get this thing started then." Mike stepped slowly into the forest. Stepping over one of the Restriced area, Stay Out! signs. This was going to be juuuuuust great.

Lynx!Maddie nimbly jumped over the sign.

She stopped and turned to it, sniffing at it before meowing out to him. She really had to learn to talk in these forms.

She laid a paw on the tape, looking at him and cocking her head to the side.

Mike turned to the Lynx, then the sign, then to the Lynx again. "It's fine. Don't worry about it. Nothing bad will happen." That was an obvious lie and Mike knew it. In fact they had come her just to find something bad.

Maddie snorted at him, a stubborn look in her eye. She didn't move from her spot.

She wondered why they needed to go into the forest. How did this have anything to do with technimagic? Was she just not seeing something?

Mike sighed and leaned down. Staring at the lynx. "What's wrong Maddie? I can't understand you as a.......cat." Mike wanted to know what she thought. She was his apprentice but practically family.

Maddie shook and in that instant, she returned to herself. She was crouching, hand still holding the yellow tape. It took her a second of balancing.

"Why are we going in the forest?" she asked once her voice returned to her.
