Ever since Ecta had arrived on the island, she found herself becoming ever so restless lately, even bored at times. She was somewhat unimpressed with Earth's inhabitants - finding them rather primitive on a technological level, their magic generally weak and extremely random - there was no logic behind some inhabitants possessing it and others no. And their incessant need to form social bonds admittedly confused her.
Sure, not all was terrible... there were a few new things she had learned and others that she found rather eye-raising, but she surmised that she would learn all she could in a few months and then, for the duration of her stay - which she anticipated to be overly long thanks to Altizica's refusal to give her the knowledge he had stolen - extremely uneventful.
After browsing the school and its library, Ecta glided soundlessly through its corridors, quietly taking notes of everything she saw and heard, compartmentalizing things accordingly and internally. Stopping only when she noticed a young child, someone she had seen at Altizica's eldritch party... someone who, she had to admit had sort of piqued her interest. Especially since Ecta had sensed the tiny one was quite powerful in their own right and yet seemed attached to the human woman she had seen them with.
"You are an eldritch, but not," Ecta stated curiously as she floated over to where they were, forgetting for a moment that earth inhabitants first greeted each other or asked permission before asking personal questions.
