Lexi had walked off the boat after a long boat ride. One with our her Dad. She held onto her bunny doll tight. She had stitched a mask on it that resembled Octain so that way she was always safe. Looking around a few people did come up to her as if to say something, but they passed by as she pulled up a small map of the area. It was.. Confusing for her. She then walked down to the near by coffee stop.

'Awwwe, are you new here?' He heard from the waitress.

"I want some milk please."

The waitress gave her a glass bottle of milk and she paid for it from an envelope from her father and walked out while putting the envelope away she looked at the map again sitting in a chair kicking her feet with her back pack on while trying to figure out the area. She was Eleven years old. Thank got her 'dad' told her how to look at a map as she was confused. Looking around she noticed "This isn't the school..." She turned the map around and blushed wildly. Looking around hoping no one would see that she then made a run for getting to the school as she tripped.

on air.

She flipped and landed on the ground, the sound of glass shattering while people were walking by as she sat up sniffing a bit. M-m-my Milk.." she said wiping the tears away.

Kimiko Young

Kimiko was playing hookie.

She didn't feel like going to school right now. After punching a guy square in the jaw for publicly humiliating his girlfriend, Kimiko was in thin ice with the school administration and she just knew the guidance counselor's cronies were going to be breathing down her neck like hawks all day. Despite fully knowing that she would get into even more trouble because of what she had done, she just wasn't up for that stuff right now, so she opted to explore Downtown instead when she heard a little girl cry.

The sound of a little girl crying was the easiest way to catch Kimiko's attention, next to girls screaming and girls asking for help. Whatever transitory plans she half-cooked in her brain was completely erased and re-purposed into one goal: To find the crying girl.

Kimiko pushed through the crowd and, just down the street, she found a girl literally crying over spilled milk. She walked up to her. "Hey, little miss, are you all right? We can get you a new bottle, ok? Please don't cry. I'm Kimi. I'm here to help."

Lexi was still on the ground, rubbing her eyes much like a cat would with the back of her hands as she heard someone talk to her. Her ears twitched for a moment as her tail shook a bit. She wasn't used to new people, but the voice seemed.. A little feminine to say the least as she turned around, her eyes still a bit watered.

"K-Kimi who?" She said, not ignoring the fact that the nice person offered to get her a new bottle. "I'm Lexi." she said holding onto her stuffed bunny with a mask stitched on. She was a little too trusting as she stood up. her short skirt was a bit dirty as she pattered herself to clean up. When she looked down, the map was covered in milk. She picked it up and ended up holding a soggy map as she sighed. "Dad's not going to be happy.." she said. Crumpling it up. Though Lexi was happy that someone was talking to her. It was nice. Her ears twitched again. She knew that Octain would give her a good scolding for losing the map, then appreciate her ingenuity. She was a smart girl, just not under pressure.

"Can.. We go get milk now." She said walking past the girl to go get milk..

Again.

For the third time today. "Kimi? Umm.. T-Thank you." She said pouting a bit while looking away. It sounded forced, but genuine. She seemed to have hard time thanking anyone. "I.. Don't know my way around.. I lost my map to go find Papa, K-Kimi? Could you... I mean would you mind..." She said, becoming visibly flustered trying to ask a simple question. She was with a new person trying to find out if they would help her find her dad. "Could you help me find one of the classes in the school? Or.. Just show me the way to the school." She said. About to open the door to a store to go get milk.

She got one, paid for it from an envelope. Putting the change in her pocket as she put the envelope away.

Kimiko... did not want to go back to school.

But she wasn't going to leave this little girl alone.

Kimiko followed her around to ensure she wouldn't cry or get hurt. It was a funny sight, a thin sixteen year old acting as a big, tough bodyguard, but Kimiko had a rapier and she wasn't afraid to use it.

"I'll take you, Lexi. I'm from the High School, so it's no problem," she said, smile as charming as a prince. She wanted to be a stable figure for this girl considering, right now, she seemed lost. Everything must feel large and threatening.

She pulled out a handkerchief from her pants pocket and handed it to Lexi in case she needed to wipe milk off her stuff. "Here you go. I'm sorry I can't offer you a change of clothes or hand sanitizer, but I figure this is the next best thing. Now, the school..."

She left the shop, but only to make sure Lexi was following her. She glanced at her bunny. It looked... it looked suspiciously familiar.

"Er, are you looking for Professor Octain?"

Lexi undid the top of her milk and drank a bit of it. Gulp. Gulp. Gulp. she then took it away from her mouth letting out a sigh of relief. She didn't like boats. Or traveling for the most part. She smiled innocently as she looked up at Kimiko. She was a small little girl who made a new friend. "Thank you Mr. Kimi. I'm only in elementary."

She giggled when her friend smiled, though she wasn't sure if her friend was a he or a she. Since she looked more and more like a Prince Charming from a Disney movie than anything else. Though the city and the way there was frightening to her. She wasn't used to bustling cities of people. Only small rural towns where everyone knew everyone. Unlike this place which people were everywhere, cars going.

She took the handkerchief and started to wipe off some of the milk and dirt from her fall. "I-It's okay. I got clothes. I just.. don't wanna change in public." She said looking down, the first the she could remember was THAT moment. Though she quickly picked up again.

"Y-You know my dad!?" She said with lit up eyes. "Is he okay? Is he a good teacher? I think he's a good teacher just sometimes the things he says go right over my head. I remember this one time he tried to explain the secret of something and it just went over my head. Then again I think I was playing with my doll here. I named him Buntavius." It had been a while and Kimi could tell that Lexi, probably missed her dad. Though she was happy to meet Kimi.

"So Mr. Kimi. Did you come here by boat too? Are you a special person too? I bet you shoot laser out of your eyes!" She said following Kimiko. She said opening her eyes for a moment going "PEW PEW!" with a giggle. Still thinking she was a he due to how nice she was to him and acting like a real prince to her. She was happy to have met this person. Though she would have to take him to meet Octain. At least once.

Mr. Kimi. It made her heart warm. She was glad she was giving off a 'masculine' vibe. It was the first step to Princehood. "Elementary, huh? Do you like being in Elementary school? What's your favorite subject?"

And then the little girl started talking about Octain. She had only heard about him from word-of-mouth. She had a friend that took his classes and she would say that he was a good teacher but overly dramatic, and she had to admit, every time she would see him talking at the Hallway, Kimiko could only confirm what she said. She thought his mask was pretty neat, though.

"He's a good teacher. I haven't taken his classes myself, magic's not my thing, but he's taught my friends some neat stuff and his mask is pretty cool!" She paused. "It sounds like you miss him, huh? Don't worry, we'll take you to him soon."

At the mention of powers, Kimiko beamed, taking a few steps forward and walking backwards. She was excited at the prospect of showing people her cool power. "Laser beams? No, I have something cooler! Watch."

She stopped walking, raising a hand to indicate for Lexi to stop. When she did, Kimiko placed a hand over her left breast. She thought: Sharp and protect.

There was a bright, tingling feeling... and then a hilt of a sword came out from where she placed her hand. She used her right hand to slowly pull her sword out of her tattoo. When it came out, it was a magnificent, rose-themed rapier.

"Ta-da!"

"I... I never been to school... Octain taught me everything I knew on his own. He's a single father who was trying to make an honest living for his daughter." She said sheepishly. Almost embarrassed to say it. "I don't know much of my past, but Daddy was there for me always. Even when I had no where else to go." Lexi had a smile, remembering when Octain used to hold her even when he was injured to let her know that he was still alive. That he was there for her. Even if he had the money to repair his mask or cloak, he used it to buy food for Lexi.

Lexi admired anyone who even looked at Octain. Let alone talked to him. Or could understand his teaching. He was Dramatic yes, but he wanted to add a spin that Lexi and he thought other students would enjoy.

She pouted a bit when Kimi spoke. "Kimi, you should take one of his classes! I wanna try to be there in his classes so I can meet new people! Maybe Daddy would let us hang out if you met him! He's always been protective of me with other people." She said with a bright smile. "Though.. I don't know if Daddy would allow me into his classes. I'm not.. 'Adept' enough for it I think." She tapped her chin. She nodded her head up and down. "Umm.. He left me with these nice people. We got along well." She said as she sighed a bit.

She took her hands away from her eyes and pouted. No laser eyes!? Well she shrugged and stopped when told and took a step back. Her eyes opened up as she said "wooooooooow!" like a little kid who just saw something amazing. She ran up to get a closer look and tripped. Causing her to toss Buntavious into the air. As if time slowed down for her she saw Buntavious fly through the air. Into Direct contact with the blade. Unless Kimi was quick enough. Lexi was going to hit the floor. And the Bunny would end up on the floor. With a minor cut.

"Huh..." Kimiko nodded, listening to this little girl talk about Professor Octain. She had to admit, prior to this, she didn't care about him much. But if he had such a big heart that he would prioritize this sweet girl over himself? He was all right in her book. "You know, your dad sounds like a great guy! You're lucky to have him, Lexi. And you're right, we should totally take classes with him. Maybe he can teach us to shoot laser beams from our eyes!"

As she showed Lexi her power, she reveled in her adoration because, let's face it, it was a pretty cool power.

But then she tripped.

That was dangerous, with her sword out! The stuffed animal almost got cut in half, but years of Athletic activities honed Kimiko's reflexes for the better, and she was quick enough to catch Lexi by the stomach and catch her almost torn doll before it hit the floor. She let the sword drop onto the pavement because, right now, her bravado wasn't important.

The sword stayed perfectly intact. She helped Lexi to her feet again. "You're all right, little princess." She smiled, but it seemed to fade as she slowly handed her her doll. "I'm sorry your bunny got injured. My friend knows how to sew! She can fix her up in no time."

Lexi was a klutz when it came down to it. She was in Kimi's arms. As she caught him. With a blush on her face she looked away. Kimiko was slowly becoming a friend of Lexi's and she would asking her if she could assist her in a few ways, though that's how her powers worked. She looked at her Bunny and teared up holding the now cut up bunny. "Daddy won't be happy... This was the first present he ever gave me." She said. Sniffling. It meant the world to her. She looked down as she sighed.

"I.. I can stitch and sew. When Daddy got hurt. I'd have to patch him up. Sometimes he seems cold, but he's a good guy I swear." She said pulling out some tape from her backpack to at least tape up Buntavious for now. She seemed to be trying to get her mind off the doll. She used her sleeve to wipe her tears away. "He's just... Alone." She said. Looking at the the Bunny being held together by tape as she put it in her backpack that also had bunny ears on it. "I'm happy I have daddy. I would love to take a class with him but I'm afraid that he would show favoritism to me because I'm his only daughter..." She said. "I... Never met my mommy. When I mention her. Daddy... Says he doesn't want to talk about it. It's like... Mommy never existed "

She looked at the sword and sighed for a moment. "Your power is pretty cool Mr. Kimi." she said holding the rapier up to her. "I... I mean.. I was spliced with kitty DNA... What ever that is. Daddy told me it's the reason why I have a tail and kitty ear. Though Octain said I had an unnatural power with the Arcanananas." She did mean Arcane, but wasn't sure. "I can teleport someone who I think is a good person or friend. When they touch this gem." She showed Kimiko a gem inside of a container on her wrist. "I can summon someone to help me if I have a problem. It.. Takes a lot out of me but daddy says I can put it to good use if I have good friends who are willing to help me. Like what you did. Mister Kimi."

She said with a smile on her face. "I umm... If.. Daddy is okay with it.. Would you mind... If I called out to you for help... Would you..." She was blushing heavily as she looked away from her gripping onto her skirt tight. Trying to finish what she was going to say, though she didn't want to for fear of rejection. She didn't have many friends. Her age or at all. Most people left her alone because of her ears and tail. Also her insane ability to climb almost anything. If there is a gap. She can get up it.

It was a sad story, when she pieced the big picture from Lexi's tiny snapshots of it. It tugged at Kimiko's heartstrings. She wished little girls like Lexi, so sweet and innocent, would never get hurt. But the sad reality was that the world was cruel to women. She gave Lexi a reassuring pat on the head.

"I'm sure you'll find a better life here, for you and your dad. And if you ever feel sad or alone, like everything's impossible to do, I'm sure you'll be able to get through it, because you have the best weapon of all." She pointed at her chest, smiling. "Your strong heart."

Kimiko gasped, clutching her chest.

She was so touched. It was almost like she was asking her to be her prince on a white stead. She had always thought... if she could be the kind of person that people would want near them to save them, didn't it mean she was halfway to princehood?

Kimiko took the rapier and swung it in the air. It disappeared to... wherever her rapier went she wasn't using it, she supposed. She immediately got on her knee and took Lexi's hands into her own. "I'd be honored, Lexi! Don't be afraid to call on me if you need any help, all right? And don't worry about not having friends. I'm sure you'll make —" She made a wide gesture with her arms. "— this much when you get there!"
