"Nyaaa~" She said as she felt the hand on her head. She smiled. showing her small cat like canines as she enjoyed the feeling of a hand on her head. Her tail turned stiff for a moment then wagged from side to side slowly.

"Daddy says the same thing. We were Gnome mads for a while.." She meant Nomads. Kicking her feet together for a moment and giving a pout when Kimiko's hand left. "Though he used to say the same thing... Though he said 'Your heart is going to shine and your gunna make me proud.' " She said.

She hugged Kimiko. "Thank you Mr. Kimi!" When she let go she began to walk down the street with her milk in her hands taking a sip. "So Mr. Kimi, what's school like? I'm... Kind of scared." She said trying to hide her face in her milk. She never went to school. She was happy about what was going on. She met her first friend, a high schooler, but still.

"Mr. Kimi?" She said trying to get her attention. Still thinking he was a guy. "I'm hungry.." She said putting hands over her stomach. "I'm sorry for being such an inconvenienceses."

She said. It was about noon now and Lexi didn't eat breakfast, so she was a hungry little girl but didn't know where was nice to eat. She had no one really to give her directions to a good spot. Though she did have Kimiko. Kimiko could help!

"Do you know any good spots?" She looked up at her friend.

"Your dad has the right idea. It's good that you listen to him." She smiled charmingly.

At the hug, Kimiko decided to hug her back, squeezing her tightly. Lexi was cute. She was so cute! Kimiko loved little girls and how endearing they were. They walked side by side. At the question of school... Kimiko gave that a thought, scratching the back of her neck. "School is... it's kind of hard. You have to study a lot of stuff. I'm good at P.E. and Music, but Math and Science are really hard. You have to work a lot."

She shrugged, smiling. "But the good thing about it is that you can find something you're very passionate about and have people that are the same way! I really like sports, and I've made a lot of sports friends, and general friend-friends. I'm sure you can find something you like and make lots of friends too."

What was she... Oh! She was hungry. The poor thing. Kimiko looked around. "Lexi... You're not an inconvenience at all. I'm glad to make a cute friend like you." She squeezed Lexi's cheek, chuckling a bit. "Uh, let's see, what would you like? There's a burger place nearby that has all kinds of burgers and they serve huge fries. There's also a shawarma stall just up ahead. If you're feeling something else, we can get something else."

Lexi looked at Kimi when she came up with the ideas for food. She rubbed her chin almost like Octain would if he was deep in thought. Maybe she did take after him more than she can recall. Giving it some thought like a cat the name "Sha. War. Ma?" She said. Almost confused but she was interested. "let's go to the Sha. Warm. A!" She said trying to make sense of what that was. Though it sounded great!

"Friends though my interests? Umm.. I'm good at running and can pick up things that even Octain had a problem. I flipped a car once." She said with a smile on her face. "I am good at Climbing, and I like Magic." She said. Though the fact that Kimiko could make someone come out of no where was amazing. She held that high in her mind. Looking at Kimiko and she began to follow her to the Shawarma place. "I never met anyone like daddy.. He's always nice to me but mean to lots of others. He means well. He was just always protective of me. He never let me out of his sight. At least till I had to do something private. I think that's why mommy left.. Unless mommy died..." She said with a rumble of her stomach.

She looked down an alleyway seeing a few people and her eyes darted back forward. "So Mr. Kimi? Are you happy on this island? I mean.. It's big but it's... Easy to get lost.." She said trying to figure out what was going on, trying to avert her eyes from Alleyways.

"Yes! Shawarma!" She made a wrapping gesture with her hands. "It's this thing that's all wrapped in this... I think it's called a pita bread... and there's meat and sauce and everything. You can even get cheese with it." Now she wanted to Shawarma. Why was it so far away?

"You flipped a car!" She... wasn't sure if she was serious. Given this place, she probably was. "You must be really strong, Lexi! I'm pretty strong too but I can't flip cars."

The things Lexi were saying kept making her sad. Kimiko reached out to touch her hand, so they would be hand in hand while they walked. "I can see why he'd be protective. You've been through a lot."

Kimiko nodded, smiling. No matter how much she complained about teachers, she really did love Manta Carlos. "Yes, I'm pretty happy! It's a lot better than my old place, too. Manta Carlos is pretty big but you get used to it in a few years, and then it starts feeling like home." She paused. "I wish my mother could be here to see the island... I-in any case, we should get you a replacement map."

They were near the Shawarma cart. Kimiko was practically salivating at the sight, with the big cone of meat and the little pita breads. She tugged at Lexi's wrist, walking a bit faster. "That's the Shawarma cart! Come on, I'll treat you." She winked.

"That sounds delish!" She said with a twinkle in her eye with a smile. She really liked the idea of food wrapped in something. She wanted a shawarma. Maybe he would take dad there at some point in time if it was REALLY good.

"Uh huh! Someone was stuck in it and couldn't get out. I was out getting myself food one day when that happened." She said with a smile. She was happy to help. Though the person didn't know what happened she still thought that she helped even if someone made fun of her ears or tail.

"Well, I got a good memory. So I just need to have someone walk with me around and then I can get around on my own. Maybe your momma should come here! Or is your momma not allowed here?" She said confused and almost inquisitively.

"How much looong-" She said as she then began to sniff the air. "Nyaaaaaa~ That smells so good!" She said hanging her tongue out a bit. Looking at the cart. She was far to hyped up to have one as she looked at the options. "I want.. Th-.. No.. Th-... No..." She was having a hard time picking one as the cart guy gave one to Lexi. IT was wrapped up in tin foil as she looked at it. "Ooooh." She waited for Kimiko to get the first bite of hers before she sunk her teeth in.

It smelled so good though... Did she really have to wait for Kimiko to eat hers first?

"That was really heroic of you, Lexi. Can you flip other things? Carry really huge objects?" Kimiko sighed dreamily. "I wish I could be super strong. Well, I guess a cool sword is fine too!

"I'll walk with you. I can show you all the cool places in the island! There's a water park, some neat cafes, a pretty park... Maybe we should go to the water park someday, huh? They have cool water slides and you land in a pool. It's great! I also work at this cafe. You should totally stop by! I can get you a free soda and a cake. The proprietors love me. They say I bring in good business because a lot of girls come there to see me." She laughed, blushing a little.

At that, Kimiko practically deflated. Her parents... was not a happy topic for Kimiko. She turned silent for a while before giving Lexi a small, somber smile. "My mom isn't... 'special' like me. Living here is kind of expensive. Plus, my dad won't let her because he's a big ol' butt."

And that was that. Kimiko didn't like feeling sad when she could be happy instead. She didn't care to elaborate on the issue further so, when her shawarma arrived, she turned her attention to it with a big grin. "Let's eat~"

Kimiko picked up the nearby cheese bottle and absolutely drowned her shawarma with it before taking a bite. She paid the good man for their meal and gave him an extra five bucks for the trouble. "It's good, right?"

Lexi nodded her head up and down. "Uh huh. I once moved a biiiiig tree off of Daddy! He got into a fight with some bad men and they turned tail and ran, but they left the tree on daddy." she said with a smile. She was happy he was still walking. Octain was built like a tank and was just almost unkillable.

Her ears twitched. "WATERPARK!?" She lit up. Didn't even hear anything else. "WATERPARK!" She said and was almost pawing at the air like she was a cat. "Nyaaaaa~ I love waterparks! they are soo much fuun!" When Kimi said that she brought a lot of girls to the place she tilted her head. "I'd like that! Though you probably have a hard time keeping girls off you." She said giggling.

She noticed that Kimiko had deflated. She tightened her grip on her hand and smiled up at her. "It's okay. She's special to you! Maybe you could go with that!" She said with a smile on her face. She was a kid but kids had some of the best ideas. Since they were young and had an imagination that was boundless. "Your heart is gunna shine you are gunna make her proud!"

Lexi undid the wrap of her pita and ate it. "NYAAAAAAA~" She exclaimed as she began to eat it. Almost not caring about a mess. She kept eating as she was almost devouring it. It was so tasty. "Daddy loved these! Though he never let me have one because he said 'You don't like this.'" She said with laugh. She knew it was a joke. She eventually finished it. She enjoyed every moment of it.

She heard a phone ring. Looking around it was in her pocket. She pulled out a phone and read a text out loud.

"Sorry... For.. Not being there baby. I am working late.. The address is.." She kind of muttered something. "If you get one the island before I finish work.. Meet me here. I love you Lexi." She sniffed a bit. "Oh Daddy.."

She said with a sigh.

"Mr. Kimi? Umm.. Could we go find my place? I mean.. If you want you could stay there with me till Daddy gets home.." She said lowering her ears. "You.. don't have to come.."

Kimiko blinked. That was... quite the story. She was impressed both by Lexi's heroism, and Octain's ability to survive a huge tree falling on him. "I'm glad your dad's still around! He's built like a rock, huh?"

She didn't mind Lexi's chanting. In fact, she would chant 'WATERPARK' after she said it, one time throwing her hands in the air that some of the insides of her shawarma flew off and hit a random stranger's face. She hunched back, apologizing. "Ahh, but yeah, we should go! Maybe when you're settled in? You can bring Professor Octain... I'm imagining him in nothing but trunks and a mask on, it sounds like it's hilarious."

Kimiko laughed nervously. While it really was difficult to keep girls off her, she wasn't sure if she should keep encouraging her believing her, er, 'womanizing' nature, especially when she didn't know she was a woman. It could be quite shocking. Instead, she shrugged. "I suppose so!"

This kid was... she was too much, honestly. Too sweet and too good. Kimiko bit the last piece of her shawarma and ruffled her hair. "Of course, Lexi. I miss her sometimes, but meeting lovely ladies like you cheer me up."

She was glad she thought it was delicious, though. She didn't mind the mess. In fact, she grabbed a bunch of tissues from the cart and handed it to her to wipe her face with after. Kimiko crumpled up her empty foil and threw it at a trash can.

As she read Octain's text to her, Kimiko was more resolute on coming. "Of course I'm coming, Lexi! Full speed ahead! Do you want a piggie back ride while we go there?"

"Uh huh. He's built like A.... a um.... Building!" she said with a giggle. She was just a little kid and wasn't sure that rocks were strong. When she could break them. Though Octain never told her to break buildings. Because people lived or worked in those. Which was a bad thing.

Lexi watched as some of the guts of the shawarma landed on someones face from Kimikos shawarma. She first made an ich sound like someone would seeing blood or someone kiss, then laughed when Kimiko came up with the idea of having Octain come. "He might come.. I mean. So long as he wears his mask." She said. Rubbing her chin as she finished her shawarma and began to wipe her face off with napkins.

Maybe she could talk to Octain to pull some strings? That's how lexi was staying at Octains house and not in the dorms. She was young and a lone. "I-I'm not lovely." She said. blushing heavily and looking down. Though Octain used to say that a lot when she asked how she looked in dresses. He never paid much attention. Then again. he was doing what was best.

Lexi nodded her head. "I love piggie back rides! They tend to make me fall asleep though..."

She said. Awaiting to get on Kimiko's back. when she got on she would hold tight onto her back. Though she was tired, she was looking around like an ever vigilant sentinel on her back. "I remember one time Daddy gave me a piggy back.. He fell over because I was trying to take his mask off... He fell into the mud." She said with a giggle.

"You're very lovely," Kimiko said, winking. "The loveliest." She poked the tip of her nose for emphasis.

"It'll be fun, come on!" Kimiko picked her onto her back with ease, first carrying her up with her legs then tipping forward to move the weight on her back. She was a little heavy, but Kimiko did weights every week and therefore spat on the face of gender norms.

"Do you want us to jump into the mud?" It was a joke, but they were passing a puddle because of spring rain, so Kimiko threatened to jump on it — only to jump pass it, but she didn't anticipate the car speeding right at them so she jumped backwards again, almost tipping over to land on Lexi, but she immediately caught herself.

Phew. Octain might've had a few words with her if that happened. Luckily, her reflexes were fast. She adjusted her hold on Lexi and began walking to the school proper. They were at the path going to the Residential area, which she had never been to herself. She lived at the school.

"Man, this is... suburban-y. It's almost like I never left America." She tilted her head to look at Lexi. "What was the address again? Are we almost there or..."

She looked at the street signs. Yep, she was definitely getting lost. "Ahhh, I just don't know where this is! Houses are confusing. Why can't everybody live in dorms?"
