A new home (Open)

Lexi had enjoyed the movie so much she almost forgot Kimiko was there. Holding a pillow in her arms the whole time thinking about if that was what love was. If dad had a princess like the girl. She smiled through the whole movie as it eventually ended as she slowly came out of the fort.

"That was a great movie! We should watch another!" She said with a giggle looking outside the window. "Umm.. I don't know... He said he had something to do with work and would be home la-"

She said hearing the front door open.

"DADDY!?"

She said running towards the door to hug who ever would come through the door. Hugging the man who walked in.

"You're home!"

Octain had made his way back to his house from work. The fastest he could after jumping off the roof of the school and hovering his way home till he hit the ground with a sprint towards his house. Vaulting over people's fences till he was a block away to catch his breath. It was already dark out as he walked towards the house. To his surprise he heard Lexi's voice inside the house and... Someone else?

he shook his head and was instantly worried about her. So he opened the door. "Lexi!?"

He heard Lexi call out daddy as she ran up and hugged him. He slowly placed a hand on her head.

"It is alright little one.. I am home now. I am happy that you got the island safe.. Did you find the place alright?"

He then said looking around. Seeing another set of shoes. "Who else is here? I shall not ask again." he said. Then looking around the hallway and into the kitchen, living room and the stairs leading up.

Lexi looked between Octain and Kimiko. Thinking that it wouldn't be a problem as Lexi opened her mouth. "D-Daddy don't be ma-" As Octain placed a finger on her mouth. "Silence." As he looked over as Kimiko. His orange eyes piercing into Kimiko's soul. He moved away from Lexi as he turned his body to Kimiko. Standing tall and upright as he looked over at the person who was in his house with out his permission.

"Kimiko Young?" He said with as a question. Noticing that the girl was awkward around him as he walked over. Putting his hand out. "Thank you for helping Lexi. Shortly after I have something to drink I will ensure you are... Properly rewarded for this." he said. his tone of voice changing as he smiled under his mask.

"Y-Yeah dad. Mr. Kimiko helped me while I was in the city."

Octain stopped for a moment as he blinked a few times and turned around, Mr.. Kimiko? He looked over and did a quick once over. It was true that kimiko DID look pretty male but the voice and he stance was very feminine/

"You are a boy then?" He said teasingly. "Seems Lexi enjoys your company... Mister Kimiko."

Looking at the pillow fort he rubbed his eyes through the slits in his mask. realizing he couldn't sit down but then he realized. Kids will be kids...

"Indeed. It has taken some getting used to from my travels.." He said moving away from the two. Pushing the door to the kitchen open as he propped it open with a door stop so he could easily hear the two.

Octain walked into the kitchen. Grabbing himself a glass of water as the sound of porceline touching the marble counter top echoed through the house. He had his mask off to drink the water, ensuring that his back was to the girls.

"Of course.. Possibly a chance of hiring you as her babysitter Kimiko?" Octain said a loud from the kitchen. Lexi almost springing to life again as he ears perked up and looked at Kimiko with wide eyes.

"Please say yes Mr. Kimiko! I would love to have you as a baby sitter!" She said excitedly. Almost hopping on the spot as she grabbed kimiko's hand, then looked at it and took it away. "S-Sorry.."

She said moving a bit away from Kimiko. Her face flustered and looking at the ground as Octain came back with his mask on. Slightly adjusting it as he was returning. Pulling out some money from his wallet to hand to Kimiko.

"Well, should you say yes. I will ensure that food and or money is set aside for you and Lexi to have something to eat should Lexi not wish to cook one night. She is an excellent cook. You may either be here, Or I could drop off and pick up Lexi where ever you are situated."

Octain said as he knelt infront of Lexi.

"Say goodbye to the.. 'Nice Man' Lexi. It is time for you to go to bed sweetheart.."

"Daddy.. Can Kimiko stay a bit longer?"

"Not tonight. Maybe another night. It IS a school night and you start your first class tomorrow."

Lexi looked at the ground and nodded her head as she walked over and hugged Kimiko. "thank you.. I hope I will see you again." As she pulled away after a bit and began to go upstairs to find her room.

"Second one on the left Lexi." Octain said loudly, his eyes narrowing at Kimiko. "Kimiko.. Should you wish to baby sit my daughter. Look after her. She's all I have." He said. His eyes and mask showing intimidation. Though.. It was a hint of compassion and care for his daughter that was behind the facade.

Lexi quickly moved to her room where she fell asleep almost instantly. Thinking highly of her new friend/crush and her father for doing what he did. Instead of hurting Kimiko he let her off the hook.. As well as let her be her baby sitter. She was looking forward to the next day of school.

Octain however.. put the money away as he took off his mask at the door. The shadows hiding his face when Kimiko left into the dark of night. She was a true knight of her word. Octain was pleased that Lexi's first friend on the island. He couldn't be more proud as he heard what Kimiko said.

"I am glad she had found a friend in you. Kimiko... You shall always be welcomed here." As he closed the door hanging his cloak up on a coat rack as he make himself a strong drink before bed. Before he took a drink he went upstairs to see his daughter one last time before bed as he walked into the room. The nice pink room of his daughter since pink was her favorite color he sat on the edge of her bed. It was a soft bed for her. She was already dead asleep as he lightly kissed her forehead and softly whispered.

"I love you Lexi.. I am glad I have a daughter like you.. Goodnight Princess."

As he put his mask on.

What Kimiko said made him realize that he needed to be the best father he can for her. He went back downstairs to grab his drink as he went to his room. Doing some light reading and drink before eventually calling it a night..

When was the next time Lexi would see Kimiko?
