A New Day. A New Room.

Dos looked around the room. All the curtains were closed. Ok, that'll do nicely. Quietly, Dostin went over to the light switch, and turned the lights off. The whole room went pitch black, and Dostin disappeared from the spot she was in. She grabbed Rae by the top of the head, and dragged her off the bed.

Rae's eyes widened at the darkness. When she got yanked off her bed, she squirmed and began kicking at anything her feet made contact with. She squeezed her eyes shut and tried not to whimper like a little child.

Dostin cackled at the squirms and kicking of Rae. "Calm down, my gosh! Get a grip, girly!" Dostin let Rae go, and stood up. She turned the lights back on, and went over to sit on her bed. "It's just the dark, it's not gonna hurt you." Dos suddenly burst out in laughter. Watching Rae freak out made Dos's day. It was very hilarious.

Rae bit her lip for a moment before she brought her gaze to Dostin's. Knowing this girl could read her mind now, and not wanting to speak, she stood and thought while leaving the room, I'll go talk to the headmistress about me getting a different room. She shook her head and closed the door behind her.

Dostin smiled. "Thank God, she's gone." She leaned back on her bed, and closed her eyes. Soon, Dostin drifted into a deep sleep. Dreaming of things that she hoped would happen. Then, suddenly, Dostin started dreaming of her days at the laboratory. When she was being tested, running away, then ending up here.

A while later, Rae came back up to the room and went to her bed. She sat down on it and stared at the ground. She shook her head without looking up.

Dostin heard the thunk of the door, and woke up with a jolt. She saw Rae. "What's wrong, kid. See a ghost?" Dostin laughed, and sat up on her bed. She pulled her knees up to her chin, and wrapped her arms around them. She was freezing. Dos stood, and went over to the thermostat. It was 67 degrees in here. Yes, to Dos, that was freezing.

Rae frowned. At first she thought that Dostin meant someone in her famil, and that made her stiffen. But then she guessed it was because of her pale features and shook her head. She would have answered if not for the fact that the othr occupant of the room turned the air down. "It's frickin' hot in here! Turn that back up!" She glared.

"Heck no. Make me. Go ahead, I dare you." Dostin's eyes narrowed fiercely. "I can read your mind now. Basically, you're at my mercy, kid." Dos smirked, and sat back down on her bed. Dos was very tired from wandering around the island for a few days.

"Heck no. Make me. Go ahead, I dare you."

Rae's eyebrows rose and she stood. Giving the other female an icy glare, she put her hand on the thermostat and slowly turned it back up to where it had been at...well, she might have added a few degrees, but she didn't care.

The whole thing about it being hot had been a lie. Rae ws actually quite cold in her mini skirt, despite that she had long stockings coming up past her knees.

"I can read your mind now. Basically, you're at my mercy, kid."

Oooh, she had crossed the line now. Rae almost always got along with people, but Dostin just ticked her off beyond belief.

Glaring darkly, she shoved a finger into the girl's shoulder. "I. Am. Not. A. Kid." She said stiffly. "I'll bet you I'm older than you are. So just back off, Witch."
