A New Day. A New Room.

Great, of all the places. I come to this stupid school. Dostin thought bitterly as she opened the door to her new dorm room. Thankfully, it was the best one. Once she touched the arm of the principal in the entrance hall, Dos knew she could get whatever she wanted. She had manipulated the mind of the principal to ensure that she would get the best dorm room. At least it's not too bad. It's the best one they had, and I guess I'll make the best of it. Dostin had no other clothes, considering she had left the cave. Even at the place where she had been "re-born" as it were, the scientists never gave her any clothes. Except the ones she had on now. "I've got to get new clothes. One way, or the other." Dostin said to herself, bitterly.

Rae, coming up from the cafeteria where she had just eaten dinner, opened the door to her dorm--which she had had to herself--and blinked at the form of another girl in her dorm. Surely she had the wrong room.

Shrugging, she came up beside the girl and smiled. "Um, Hi. I'm Rae." She held out her hand.

Dos turned around and sneered. "And, I care why? Don't tell me I have to share a dorm with someone like you. Ugh!" Dos looked at her with loathing. The girl looked normal. Nothing special about her at all. A small smirk formed on Dostin's face. She reached out, and touched the girl's arm. And was soon inside her mind. "Hmm, what are you thinking?" Am I in the wrong dorm? Dostin read from the girl's mind. "I'm pretty sure you are. See, this is my dorm. Got it special from the principal."

At first she wondered why this girl wanted to know what she was thinking, but then she realized that she must be able to read mind. Gonna have to like, stop thinking now. She mentally glared at the girl.

Moving back to the door, Rae looked at the number that was on it, and then looked around the room. It was her dorm number and her things around the dorm. She shook her head. "Oh, this is my room." She nodded. "Do you have the wrong room, maybe?"

Dos snorted at Rae. "No. This is my room. Not your's, miss know-it-all. I want you to get out now." She glared at Rae, and an evil smirk formed on her face. "Or else I am going to have to get mean about it." Dostin stepped closer to Rae, her evil smirk turning into an evil smile.

Rae frowned but didn't back down. She relaxed her face and smiled pleasantly. "I'm sorry, but I'm not leaving. This is my room. And you can't do anything about it."

Dos sighed heavily. "Fine! Gosh! I guess I'll just have to work with what I have." Dostin sat on her bed. "Look, what's-your-face. It looks like we'll have to make due with what we have. Let's face it. I'm here, you're here. There's nothing we can do about it, got it?"

Rae nodded but was thinking, Sure wish you'd just curl up and disappear. She went, sat on her bed and gazed at the ceiling. "I'm Rae."

Dostin's eyes narrowed as she read that thought from Rae. "Not very friendly, are we?" Dos laid back on her bed, and closed her eyes. She started invading Rae's mind. Dostin picked little thoughts here and there. Past dreams, fears, crushes. The usual stuff. There was one piece of information that Dos smiled at. It seemed that little Rae was afraid of the dark. Dostin grinned maliciously.

Rae picked up a magazine on the bedside table and began flipping through the pages. Ooh, he's cute! She flipped to another page before throwing it back onto the ground. Life was boring. She got up and turned on some music. It was classical bcause that was the mood she was in today.
