Vespa had just finished her homework and was just being a bit lazy. It was then that she heard the knock at the door and she'd step to it. Opining it she saw that it was her girlfriend, unsurprising given how often she popped up. "Hey Katie."

She'd let her in, immediately noticing Katie was a tony bit less energetic than usual. "What's up?" she'd ask, closing the door behind them.

"Did you see Arno?" she'd ask with a snicker. "Man, those horns look so fucking dumb." @Big Jeffe

Katie

Katie paced outside of Vespa's door. She'd been in this situation before, sacred to knock on her girlfriends door. That time had been different, but no less harrowing. Taking a deep breath, she knocked, tensing up when she heard it open.

"Uhh.. Hey, Vespa.." Katie said, clearly lacking her usual energy. She winced when Vespa mentioned Arno. They were the one who inspired her to do this, and it needed to be done.

"I um.. I just wanted to come by. And uhh.." She took a really deep breath. Focus. "I actually wanted to talk to you about Arno.."

She'd snort. "Don't worry, I'm not going to prank them anymore," she'd say with her usual grumble. "The horns was the last prank for them, luckily I got pictures of their horns," she'd snicker.

"Anyways, I have other targets picked out," she'd grin. "Maybe an ice bucket poured on one will be fun," she'd say with another snicker. "See them shiver and be all surprised."

The half reaper would look at her. "Did you ever see Arno's horns? Or have they already removed the nail polish?"

Katie

Katie kept her eyes glued to the floor. She could do this. Right? Vespa would understand that she can't keep doing this. She would understand that Katie cared about her and didn't want her to get hurt because she pranked the wrong person.

Part of her felt guilty. She wanted to help Vespa, but it was hard when she kept pranking and hurting people.

"I.. I.. uhh.. wanted to talk to you about that too. About the pranks I mean. They're funny.. But.." Katie took a deep breath. "Youneedtostop."

She'd blink a few times. "What?" she'd squint, "why do I need to stop?" It certainly wasn't like Katie to tell her to just stop doing something.

"Why should I stop?" she'd cross her arms, "it's fun, and I get to be all creative with it." There were other reasons she did it of course.

"Why do you want me to stop?" she'd ask her, "what brought this up?"

Katie

Katie shook her head. "There are plenty of other ways to get creative! Like.. painting.. or.. acting or..." She trailed off, not sure what else to suggest.

She cringed when Vespa asked her why. Turning her gaze towards the ground, she shifted awkwardly as she muttered something under her breath. Trying to figure out what she to say to Vespa. "Because they're mean!" She finally snapped.

"Yuki won't even talk to me anymore.." She said with a frown. As much as she had helped with the prank, part of her still blamed Vespa for what happened. It was her idea anyways.

"They're not that mean," she'd say with a huff, crossing her arms. "There's way more meaner things out there, meaner things that can happen," she'd look down at the floor now, rubbing one of her arms.

She'd look up with a frown. "He....he stopped talking to you?" she hadn't known that. "That's a stupid reason to stop talking to someone, he got jumped scared, it's not like we hurt him."

The half reaper would think a moment before huffing. "Well....I'm sorry you're friend stopped talking to you," she'd say, "I won't prank people you know anymore."

Katie

Vespa didn't have to say it, Katie knew what she meant. "Hey, we're gonna find a way remember? We're gonna figure this out. I promise." She said, pulling Vespa into a close hug.

She'd shake her head when Vespa promised to stop pranking people she knew. "Vespa, just stop. Please.. It's too much." She didn't want to say it out loud, but the inflection was there. "What if you get hurt?"

"Why should I stop? And why does it matter if I get hurt?" she'd ask as she was hugged. "Its not like my pranks hit them...its not like it'll shorten their lives....hell most of them are fuckimg immortal."

Tears were now streaming down her face now, even though he didn't seem to notice.

"And....me getting hurt doesn't matter....because I won't be here long anyways." She hadn't reacted to the hug at first, but now she did, wrapping her arms around Katie.

Katie

Katie shook her head, and held Vespa just a little tighter. "No, no.. You aren't going to die!" Katie, said, now on the verge of tears herself. "I won't let you die.." She whispered quietly.

"IT DOES MATTER!" She snapped when Vespa said her getting hurt didn't matter. "It matters to me.. I don't want to see you hurt.."

Taking a deep breath she'd slowly let go of the hug, and would instead try to get Vespa to look at her. She was really starting to regret not bringing her notebook with her. "I.. I talked with Sazz, and Amber, and did some research and..." She hesitated for a moment, before trying to wipe away some of her own tears.

"And they said there's.. a way to fix it.. But..." Katie trailed off, before starting to cry again. She didn't know what to say. She didn't want to even consider what might happen if the ritual went wrong. It had to work. To her, there was no other choice.
