Anastasia was the kind of person who could be very, very dedicated. She was a focused sort of individual, who wasn't going to let herself be swayed.

At the moment, her particular focus was the student council. Anastasia was still fairly new at the school, and had made few friends. She considered this an annoyance, but not a real setback. She'd been productive, after all, learning a good deal about both her powers and heritage in her time on the island. Friends had come second, and now second's time was up.

The fastest way to get friends, as far as Anastasia was concerned, was to make herself important. The student council was important, and they were now her goal. With elections running, Anastasia had her work cut out for her, but she was also rather confident in her chances.

She'd done her research and found the school council president's name and address, and then she'd sent her a politely worded note. Brief and to the point - inviting her to the school fountain at lunch two days later. She hadn't requested a response, rather confident that the student council president would be willing to meet with someone to discuss student council matters.

Anastasia certainly looked presentable, sitting at the edge of the fountain, as blank and impassive as always. She was ready, and hopefully Morgan would be too.

Student Council was one of the most important things in the world to Morgan, she cared greatly about this school and wanted to be sure she remained Student Council President as long as she possibly could. So when she got a letter to a lunch meet up to discuss Student Council members of course she would be showing up.

She arrived to see Anastasia, someone who she hadnt met yet. She gave her a wave and stuck her hand out "Hello Morgan Ferris, Student Council President, a pleasure to meet you."

[thoth=http://i.imgur.com/5uZki9l.png]Morgan Ferris. College student, last year. Journalism major. Somehow that seemed oddly fitting to Anastasia, and yet if asked she couldn't have said why. The fact that this was Morgan's last year made it all the more important. She needed to get in while the going was good, and then next term there'd be even more room on the council for those who had already established themselves.

Anastasia stood, taking the offered hand and giving it a firm shake. Morgan seemed rather dainty, although she supposed she had a very skewed view of things.

"Anastasia Mikhailovna Usenko." She said, having yet to buck the trend of introducing herself with her patronymic included. "Nothing as of yet, which is why I wanted to speak to you. I believe re-election campaigns are just beginning?"

Anastasia gave a firm strong handshake, which was important for working in Student Government. She had mention re elections, so Morgan guessed that shed be running as well, hopefully not for President, Morgan didnt want to crush this hopeful candidates dreams.

"Ah yes, election season has just begun, im assuming youre going to be running?" she knew shed be right, but it would be good to confirm it.

[thoth=http://i.imgur.com/5uZki9l.png]Anastasia nodded. It wasn't hard to guess why they were there, but it wasn't the overall message that was going to be the focus. No, they were going to have to talk about the details of the thing. Anastasia was here to make a bargain, not to warn her competition that she would be going for president.

"I'm interested in the auditor position - or perhaps treasurer. Since I've only recently arrived at the school, it seems pointless to compete for the presidential spots, and guarantee a loss. I'm hoping we can come to a mutual agreement to support each other's campaigns." And build off one another, in so many words.

Anastasia was clearly smart, not wanting to go after the big spots yet since she wasnt that well known, that kind of wisdom was defiantly something Morgan wanted on her Student Council team.

"You seem to have thought this out, that good. That said id like to know what kind of experience you have with jobs like this before we work together."

[thoth=http://i.imgur.com/5uZki9l.png]"Absolutely none." Better to be up front about things ahead of time. "My school did not have the equivalent of a student council. As far as general leadership went, I have only general experience in that respect - I assisted several students in my Sambo class as the equivalent of a student teacher."

Personally, Anastasia didn't see these things as real flaws. Everyone started somewhere, and she wasn't going for president. She also had a solid platform, which she was more than willing to talk about. "May I inquire as to your platform this year?" Anastasia certainly had hers in mind, but depending on how good or bad a platform Morgan's was... well, it would either make it much easier or much harder to throw her lot in.

It wasnt particularly a bad thing that Anastasia didnt have experience in the field, and being apart of Student Council was a good way to gain experience for her future outside of school. "I think youll be able to handle this jobs regardless, youll have my support for the election."

Political Platforms where not something many Student Councils took seriously in other places but Manta Carlos was not one of those places. "As Student Council President I tend to be a bit strict when it comes to rules, theyre out there for a reason and our students need to follow them while theyre here. But I also like to promote positivity and kindness, this isnt something thats very difficult for our school to handle, a lot of us come from harsh places, criticized for our differences and uniqueness, and I like to think the students here embrace that and treat eachother with the kindness they wouldnt see in other places." Morgan took a breath, that was kind of a mouth full.

[thoth=http://i.imgur.com/5uZki9l.png]Morgan's platform was what Anastasia would describe as wishy washy. It didn't have any particular platform. It was simply a general, overall thing. She supposed she couldn't have expected much more than that, as from what little she'd managed to gather, most people didn't even have a platform. In fact, she suspected she'd be the only candidate with a real platform with an actual issue.

"I'll be running on a platform of student safety. Plenty of the policies in place are a tad lax, or have fallen out of enforcement. I plan to push for a comprehensive reevaluation of school safety policies, in order to ensure that no students are harmed. For example, it seems extremely silly that the school chose to put the cafe - a place where students will go on their downtime - directly beside the very building where other students will practice their powers. It's simply poor design. Practice buildings should have been kept in their own area." Quick, simple, to the point - and the sort of thing that everyone would have seen all the time.

Anastasia brought up a very good point, it was ideas like this that the Student Council needed. She nodded with her eyes closed invisioning her Student Council team, this year would be even better than the last. "If you've got more ideas that, then you'll be very useful for our Student Council, I'll help you win your seat, we need people like yourself."

The two of them would have to plan some advertising together, she was unsure what kind of things Anastasia wanted to be said on her behalf.
