[thoth=http://i.imgur.com/5uZki9l.png]So it seemed they were in agreement. "Then I see we're in agreement." Which was a solid start, if nothing else. They would still have to plan finer details. "I plan to apply for appropriate permits to put up signs in the hallways, and remove those signs whose owners haven't gone through the proper channels." She wasn't going to be ripping down competing posters - no no, only those that were up there against school regulations.

"I don't suppose you could refer me to other members of the student council you think deserve a second spot?" She imagined that most of the previous year's council would be running for re-election, but she had no idea who was actually going to be worth re-electing. Not everyone was good in the position, after all.

"Well I know Marina and Wei are running again, Marina is going for the Vice President spot, and Wei is aiming for President though he'll take whatever he ends up with." the both of them had been great people to work with last year.

"Id recommend going to see Marina, she is very charismatic and one of the most popular people in school.

[thoth=http://i.imgur.com/5uZki9l.png]Anastasia was forced to pauise and consider what she knew about Wei and Marina... which, unfortunately, wasn't much. Marina. Second to last or last year of highschool - Anastasia couldn't remember. Last years vice president, fairly well liked, super popular. Cheerleader? She was pretty sure she was a cheerleader. Meanwhile, Wei was somewhere in the middle years of highschool, a literal monkey, and was... secretary? Definitely on student council either way.

"I'll have to speak to her then. She does seem quite popular, even though I've never met her." She hadn't met a lot of people. If they didn't share classes... well, Anastasia was far from the most social of people. "You seem to be doing a good job as president this year."

Anastasia seemed to think she had done a good job this year, Morgan didn't like to say that she had done a good job herself as there was obviously bias there, but she had quite a few people students, and school staff alike, that had told her shed done good. "Aha, thank you, I try my hardest to give the school what it wants. So other than what you've already told me, what else would you like to see done with the school?"

[thoth=http://i.imgur.com/5uZki9l.png]Anastasia had an awful lot of points, only most of them were comparatively minor in the grand scheme of things.

"There is a large portion of the student base that is coming in midway through their high school or college years. The resources for them can be a bit slim. I was going to propose a school official first-years club. Not for those who are in the first years of their respective schooling, but for those who are in their first years at Starlight Academy. It can be difficult to blend in with students who have already been on the island that much longer, considering how many of our students begin their time here unaware of the existence of non-humans at all." It was something she'd personally experienced, and something she felt quite strongly about. The school didn't adapt itself quite as much socially to the strange times people were coming in. It certainly did academically - you could enroll at any point in the school year - but not when it came to things like getting friends for new students.

A very good idea, one that Morgan herself had thought of a few times, setting it up would take work but it was defiantly someone she wanted to see happen. "Ive thought about that before, it would be hard to set up but it would be worth it. The confusion a lot of students have when they first join sometimes effects their grades, and having a first years club like that could help prevent that."

[thoth=http://i.imgur.com/5uZki9l.png]"There is a lot more to adapt to here than other schools. Ghosts. Demons. Strange powers. Plus there are students that are not from this world at all, but from space or other dimensions or other times. To them, adapting must be extremely difficult. Perhaps even two clubs? One for people used to human behavior and unused to the supernatural, while there should be another for those who are not used to human behavior." Which seemed like an awful lot of people, now that she thought of it. "It would be hard to set up, but it seems less like it should be a club and more like it should be an... ongoing orientation?" That seemed like it would make the most sense to her. "It would have to be fully endorsed by the school to do any real good." Because part of the issue was that people who were new to the island might not know about a resource like that. No, they'd essentially have to be dropped into it to start.

"You seem to have really thought this out, but perhaps we should save this conversation for another time, perhaps once you've been elected." Morgan spoke with determination, she was positive that Anastasia would make it into Student Council. "Perhaps we should talk about yourself? It's important for the people voting for you to know the kind of person you are."

[thoth=http://i.imgur.com/5uZki9l.png]Lots of people felt conflicted in their highschool years about just who they were. Anastasia didn't really. She knew exactly who she was. In fact, she knew a bit too much about who she was. Most people tended to hold back, where as Anastasia saw absolutely nothing wrong with being completely up front, even about things that others might have preferred to avoid saying.

"I had already graduated at home in Russia - because of the differences in school systems, this is my second 'last year of highschool'. I believe in following the rules, practice sambo regularly. As Manta Carlos is the only home I have now, I have a vested interest in seeing it improve." That meant the school and the island. She had at least another four years at the school, after all.

Anastasia was a rule follower just like her, Morgan tended to trust people who where dedicated rule followers like herself, Anastasia defiantly had a lot of similar qualities to Morgan, which she appreciated. "I got here after I had finished up high school in Chicago, so when I got here transitioned right into college. I had already been honing my abilities with my grandmother before I got here. I have a form of spiritual summoning that runs in my family.

Her grandmother had taught her as much as she could about her powers, but Morgan went to Manta Carlos in an attempt to increase her knowledge on them further, and she very quickly fell in love with the island, and the school.
