A Meeting in an Attempt to Cure

Maria sat at her desk. She had had one of the teachers call for a student, Marine, for the Headmistress wished to talk with the girl. She had heard about the girls 'dark mark', and upon learning how much pain it caused the younger female, wanted to try and help her be rid of it. She hated to see her students in pain, so hopefully Marine would let her help.

The woman waited patiently for her to arrive, tapping her fingers on her wooden desk and looking over some paperwork to pass time until she came.

Marine entered the room, leaving the door wide open. It wasn't a problem, because her foot shot back and slammed it, making the chandelier clink. She didn't want ot be here. They had pulled her from her quiet remorse. Everto had left her. She had no where left to run and no friends to hide her confessions in.
Marine, for the first time in her life, was thinking that she would turn on her school, and become an assasin of the dark, leaving her shapeshifting, and focuse on shadow magic. There was nothing for her left to do, as she found out. It's one thing to have pain for the rest of your life, but it's another to be emtionally controlled. It made her want to rip out her heart, just so she could laugh again.
"You called?"
She said simply, looking to leave as soon as possible.

As the girl entered the room, Maria looked up. She didn't much care that the girl had closed — well, more like slammed — the door shut with her foot, seeing as how it wasn't really a big deal. The woman looked at Marine, almost able to tell that the girl was upset. Poor thing. Hopefully, after this meeting, the girl could become happy again and do as she pleased without that dark mark controlling her. She would have greeted the girl, but Marine beat her to it.

"You called?"

"Indeed," she said. "Marine, I've learned about your dark mark from a few teachers. I know that it pains you, and I was wondering if you would allow us to try and help you be rid of it."

Meanwhile, Adelina was walking toward the Headmistress's office. One of the teachers had called her down, but hadn't said for what. Oh, well, she would find out soon enough.

"And tell me how just you are going to 'get rid of it'. You couldn't protect your students when it came, how do you think you'll get this off? I have my soul half sucked out. I don't think your petty little magic will remove this!"
Marine said, punching a hole through a nearby wall with her fist.
"Nothing can free me!"
She growled, pulling her hand out as the wall. She wish it could've been this woman's heart she punched through.

Maria listened as Marine spoke, and as she punched a hole in the wall, sighed. It didn't matter, really, such a thing could be fixed. This girls soul, however, might not be able to be repaired. "If we examined it, we could probably help you," she told the girl calmly.

And, at this moment, Adelina walked into the office, folding her arms over her chest. She rolled her eyes upon seeing Marine having what she considered a temper tantrum, and sighed. "Calm down, would you, Marine? Whatever's wrong with you can't be THAT big of a deal," she said.

Marine turned around slowly to face Addie.
"Picture you and the man you love, not being able to speak, to hug, to kiss. Picture yourself not able to laugh, or smile, only looking at the sad part of life. Picture that your loved one left you without saying anything. Your never whole, you can't sleep. That your sadness and anger are maximized, while your happiness is gone. There is no meaning to life anymore. We've all changed, Adelina. Life's not worth anything anymore."
Turning back to Maria, she just stared at her.

Adelina listened to everything Marine said. Alright, well, if Andrew left her, she would die. Well, she would die on the inside, anyway, and become harder and colder than she had ever been. "Oh, please. I've acted like that before. I can do it again if it's needed," she said. "And, Marine, life is worth living. You just have to get over your pain, let someone take care of that mark for you, and find a reason to keep going."

Maria listened to what the two girls said. She was silent, figuring that this was sort of their conversation now. She wanted to hear what Marine had to say in response the other female.

Marine turned back to Adelina.
"Try and destroy it, and it will kill me. Don't you think I've tried to get it off? Then again, you won't get it off, and when I die, it will transfer to someone else. You don't want that, do you?"
With a frown, she pulled down her sleeve to show her left shoulder. A large circular sun-shaped mark was there. It was black, blacker than anything. Marine pulled her sleeve up and opened the door. She left the room quietly. Everto wouldn't want her dead, in case he ever came back.

"But what if you don't know the correct way to get it off?" Adelina suggested, looking at Marine. "Just because you THINK you can't be cured doesn't mean that there really isn't a way to help you. At least if the nurses run some tests, they can determine whether you're right or not. What would it hurt?"

As Marine walked out of the office, Maria was about to get up and go after her, but the pregnant seventeen-year-old shook her head. "Let me handle this, Miss Moor." With that, Adelina walked out into the hallway after Marine.

"Marine, don't leave yet. Answer me," she said.

((She's pregnant???!!?! Ewww... J/K, babies r cute!! ^^))

Marine stopped.
"You... You don't know how I felt... When he left... He was so perfect..."

Since Marine's sadness was maximized, she could not stop the flow of tears. Since her life was almost forfeited, she just shook her head.
"Addie, you tell me to stop, but my heart almost is stopped. And the last time I was in the Hospital wing, the people didn't know what it was and... and they thought he did it... and... and... I'm never going back there again... He almost died there... I'm never going near it..."
Marine started walking again.
